2009-05-31NLA SoC: Basic selection operators Joshua Leung
* Added click-select/left-right select and deselect all/invert all selection operators. For now, these basic operators will suffice (more advanced selection operators will be coded at a later stage). * Fixed a few bugs in DopeSheet found while coding the relevant tools for NLA. * Added custom border-select operator for NLA channels (since the standard one assumes negative direction channel order) * Added new API-method for NLA strips to check if the strip occurs within a given range, since this test needed to be performed in a few places... * Tweaked the NLA Editor View2D ranges a bit to give saner default sizing. This still isn't right yet though.
2009-05-31NLA SoC: Bugfixes + Improvements to 'Push Down' track-selectionJoshua Leung
* Trying to save no longer crashes in some cases when the NLA Editor was open with some data. The sanity check added in filesel.c might be able to be backported to 2.5? (Elubie, please check) * NLA-track names now get drawn with the correct colours for identifying themselves as being selected or not selected. * Now the 'push down' functionality for actions will try to add the new strip to the last NLA track, provided it has space in the range required. * When new strips are added, they will only be allowed to extrapolate before/after if they are the first (time-wise) strip for the set of NLA data per AnimData block. This stops layered strips overriding strips that occurred in earlier tracks at earlier times.
2009-05-30NLA SoC: More UI work + 'Push down' tool Joshua Leung
'UI Work' * Added more drawing code for drawing NLA data * Made the operators for the 'channel-list' of NLA work. A special version of borderselect for the NLA channel-list (due to the different vertical order) still needs to be coded though. 'Push Down' tool The active action of each AnimData block, represented by the reddy/orange channel, can be added to the NLA stack as a new action by using the 'snow-flake' icon/button (probably need a special icon for this later). This will add a new NLA track and an NLA strip referencing this action. The AnimData block's 'active action' slot will then be left empty. (Unfortunately, there still seems to be a bug here, which I'll check on later)
2009-04-172.5 Animation UI Tweaks:Joshua Leung
* Added back backgrounds behind buttons for modifiers and driver targets * 'Protect' toggle doesn't draw for F-Curves with no keyframes to prevent editing on anymore * Inserting keyframes on objects using builtin keyingsets now use the right names
2009-04-112.5 Drivers:Joshua Leung
* Fixed bug with setting the active F-Curve * UI for editing drivers now works
2009-04-09Animation Editors - Bugfixes:Joshua Leung
* Collapse selected channels should now work for most channels. It still doesn't work for Action Groups for some reason... * Objects are now deemed to only be selected in Animation Editors if the are selected (i.e. if they are active but not selected, they are no longer considered to be selected) * Outliner updates when scrubbing the TimeLine. As a consequence, anim playback with an Outliner open is a bit slower now.
2009-04-08Animation Editors: Restored operators to expand and collapse channelsJoshua Leung
There are two operators: one for expanding channels and one for collapsing them. These operators each have a property, "All", which specifies if they should expand/collapse all channels regardless of selection. TODO: * A few of the sub-object channel types still needs to be supported by this.
2009-03-29- python api was returning incorrect int values from rna because it was ↵Campbell Barton
using PyLong_FromSize_t rather than PyLong_FromSsize_t, this messed up the default values in documentation. - renamed POSE_OT_select_hierarchy "add_to_sel" property to "extend" - some property names were wrong (giving errors in the console at startup)
2009-03-29- use clear, set, add, enable, disable and toggle as a prefix in operator namesCampbell Barton
- use select as a suffix eg UV_OT_loop_select -> UV_OT_select_loop - Each select all operator was using slightly different wording... select_all, deselect_all, de_select_all, select_de_select_all -> select_all_toggle - selection -> select - POSE_OT_select_connected -> POSE_OT_select_linked to match other operators - NODE_OT_delete_selection -> NODE_OT_delete since its not used in other operators - ANIM_OT_previewrange_define -> ANIM_OT_previewrange_set to match other operators - NODE_OT_fit_all -> NODE_OT_view_all to match other operators - View2D_OT_* -> VIEW2D_OT_* to match VIEW3D - View2D_OT_view_downscroll -> VIEW2D_OT_scroll_down more logical - removed MARKER_OT_mouseselect_extend and made extend a boolean property of MARKER_OT_mouseselect - MARKER_OT_mouseselect -> MARKER_OT_select - GROUP_OT_group_remove -> GROUP_OT_objects_remove more logical since its removing objects from groups - MESH_OT_removedoublesflag -> MESH_OT_remove_doubles - redundant words MESH_OT_split_mesh -> MESH_OT_split, OBJECT_OT_object_delete -> OBJECT_OT_delete renamed selection operator properties extend_select -> extend column_select -> column select_children_only -> children_only ... Since these are all in the context of selection operators there is no need for the extra 'select' in the property name. Updated docs http://www.graphicall.org/ftp/ideasman42/html/bpyoperator-module.html
2009-02-22Animation Editors: Drawing stuffJoshua Leung
* Added basic panels (Info, Drivers - where applicable, Modifiers) for editing active F-Curve/driver in Graph Editor. The buttons layouts here are really really rough, and have only got a few buttons to be sufficient for debugging purposes. Unfortunately, I don't have time to tweak these nicely now. * Fixed indention errors with Action Groups used in Material actions * Changing mode in the Graph Editor now recalculates colours
2009-02-22Animation Editors: Added Tab-Key to toggle editability of selected channels.Joshua Leung
Ton - Currently, I've had to add a new operator to set this, since it is not possible to specify via keymaps whether the invoke or exec should be called by default for an operator. (See corresponding mail on 2.5 mailing list for details about this)
2009-02-22Graph Editor: Selecting F-Curve channels + keyframes now sets active F-Curve ↵Joshua Leung
correctly.
2009-02-22Animation Editors: Bugfixes for channel selection tools Joshua Leung
* Ctrl-Shift select for Action Groups works again * Clicking on a channel's data will select it, and also make it the active one in the list now * Selecting keyframes in F-Curves will select the F-Curve channel too now (+ make it active)
2009-02-21* Added back 'Insert Key' operator for DopeSheet editor Joshua Leung
* Fixed button spacing problems in TimeLine
2009-02-13Animato: Various improvementsJoshua Leung
* Scene and World AnimDatas are now included in animation editors * Keyframes for integer-value settings now get the FCURVE_INT_VALUES flag set for their F-Curves, which restricts those curves to only having integer-values. F-Curve displays have been altered accordingly, but some editing tools may still need tweaks to work with this. * Fixed notifiers for Insert Keyframe -> Active Keying Set.
2009-02-11DopeSheet/Action Editor: Fixed display and expand-widget of 'Group' channelsJoshua Leung
2009-02-10Graph Editor: Visibility togglesJoshua Leung
F-Curves can now be hidden/shown in the Graph Editor in one of 3 ways: * Specialised VKEY toggle hotkey, which alters the visibility of all selected F-Curves * The setting toggle operators (Shift-W, Alt-W, Ctrl-Shift-W) * Checkmark (*1) boxes in front of names of F-Curves This allows irrelevant curves to be hidden from the keyframes area only if you want them hidden. By default, all curves are visible. Also note that a separate hotkey is used now for toggling visibility (VKEY) instead of lumping it under select-all (AKEY) as in the past, which was a major cause of confusion. Notes: 1) I've used the ICON_BLANK011 and ICON_BLANK012 icons, which in the current icon set are two states for a checkbox type thing. These defines should probably get renamed sometime, but I'll leave that up to Matt.
2009-02-09Animato: Added 'experimental' grouping schemes for F-CurvesJoshua Leung
When inserting keyframes on previous un-animated Objects/bones, F-Curves will be added into Action Groups into either "Object Transform" or <PoseChannel Name>. Ob->Material settings are not grouped for now to illustrate what's possible. Old files are currently not patched to use do this, as it's still not clear whether this will be ideal.
2009-01-312.5Ton Roosendaal
Big commit, but mainly adminstration. - Enabled ot->flag OPTYPE_UNDO to work. - Removed all redundant ED_undo_pushes, but I'd recommend everyone to check it while testing. :) - Added view manipulations as OPTYPE_REGISTER, although this will flood the redo stack a bit... Nevertheless; for a "redo last action" panel we can simply check if both flags are set for redo. - Bugfix in editmode undo: selectmode was cleared, so you couldn't select after undo - Bugfix in mixing tweaks and keymaps... solution works but is weak, need to think over a while.
2009-01-30Animato:Joshua Leung
* Drivers view in Graph Editor now displays drivers only, instead of displaying normal Animation data. * 'Materials' channel is now only shown under an Object when there are Materials with animation data... * Hid more debug prints behind debug flag. These should be removed...
2009-01-28Animato - Driver + ShapeKey bugfixesJoshua Leung
* ShapeKey conversions should now go to the correct places * Added fix for drivers to prevent crashes when no driver object is provided (Franky from BBB seems to have one such driver for some reason). * Temporarily disabled a check when evaluating drivers for whether the driver is tagged for evaluation. Drivers still need to be correctly tagged AND ordered by the Depsgraph to work correctly.
2009-01-262.5 DopeSheet/Action Editor Joshua Leung
* Made the various datatypes in the DopeSheet get shown again (NOTE: some of the types that don't get conversions to Animato yet may need some further checking). * Did some code cleanup to allow F-Curve channels to always show RNA-based names correctly
2009-01-20Animato - Restoring most of Action Editor Joshua Leung
* Streamlined the filtering code to remove a few redundant options, which required tweaking the code for most tools * F-Curves are simply displayed using their full paths right now. This should eventually be the UI-string stored in RNA, but right now there are still a few missing things. * There are a few tools which are not available yet which were available in 2.5 before Animato was added: - Copy/Paste - Rearrange channels Also, the DopeSheet is not totally functional (in terms of displaying animation data for sub-object data yet). That will be added tomorrow. * Added 'Action Group' pointer to F-Curves, as it will be handy for allowing Bone channels to still remain grouped as they were before with the Action Channels. However, reintroducing such a structure to the data-storage is not anticipated...
2009-01-17RNABrecht Van Lommel
* Added more compact property definitions, with a single function. Only used by operators at the moment, would need to tweak regular expressions a bit more to use it also for other RNA definitions. * The operator properties defined now were completed a bit more but still have many issues that need to be adressed, specifically; * Some properties that should be booleans or enums are defined as ints, note that ints are only for numeric values, not bitflags or multiple choice. * Soft/hard limits and default values of many properties are not well defined still, * Inconsistent naming, especially for example mouse locations or bounds are named differently in different places. Also mouse locations and other vector like properties should become a single vector property instead of multiple X/Y properties. * Almost no properties have descriptions, these would be good to have for docs and tooltips. So, please verify that the properties of the operators you wrote are well defined.
2009-01-052.5 - Animation Fixes + More Porting work in Action EditorJoshua Leung
* Added crash fixes for loading old files with Actions/Armatures in them. Was caused by usage of some old globals still and the functions in question not performing NULL checks on the validity of the data they're given. * Added back reorganise action channels tools (shift/ctrl-shif pageup/down) for Action Editor. These are only available in 'Action Mode' only. * Tidied up Action Editor/Dopesheet tools code - removed various unused things, and also, added an API call in anim_deps.c to send the correct notifiers, since I anticipate that they're likely to require a few context checks which would be better to centralise than copy+paste everywhere. Note to Ton: could you have a look at this notifier stuff here? I'm not sure which ones I should be sending... * Also added a few assorted comments in various places
2009-01-052.5 - Various Cleanups/FixesJoshua Leung
* Animation channels - cleaned up the code for selecting channels (removed various TODO stuff that's going to be replaced by something better later). Also, added back the ctrl-shift select feature for groups, which should be extended for other channels too at some stage. * Outliner - added missing flags to do-versions, and replaced the width calculations with the rna-width version for now, as that uses constant width of 100 with OL_X*indention
2009-01-022.5 - Action Editor: Toggle settingsJoshua Leung
* Added back enable (Ctrl-Shift-W), disable (Alt-W), and toggle (Shift-W) operators to channels view. They are separate operators which use the same backend code. * Fixed icon-drawing for IPO-curve 'protect' buttons. After doing this, I've realised that many tools will need some alterations to take this into account. That commit will come later.
2009-01-022.5 Animation Channels - Borderselect Tool Joshua Leung
Added BorderSelect operator for animation channels.
2009-01-022.5 - Animation and View2D Joshua Leung
* Added back deselect all (and invert all) tools for Animation Channels (i.e. channel list in Action Editor). * Resolved all MSVC warnings (I came across) in View2d code. Also, added a new API method to get the coordinates (in 'view' space) of a listview 'cell' given the row + column the cell is in. * Tidied up a few comments here and there
2009-01-012.5 - Assorted bugfixesJoshua Leung
* Dopesheet - clicking on keyframes in Object channels (if they came from Object-Data such as Lamps, etc.) would crash. I noticed this error in AnimSys2 yesterday * Action Editor - do versions code now totally reinitialises the Action Editor View2D data (for the timespace), since I found a few files where there appeared to be some weird settings set. * RNA Browser (Outliner->Datablocks) would crash when the Area was ripped (using Alt-R hotkey) as seen in mfoxdogg's 2.5 Tour 2
2009-01-012.5 - Action Editor Joshua Leung
* Fixed 'mute' icons for IPO-Curve channels. Added define for icon-button widths instead of magic numbers there too. * Restored View All (HomeKey) and Auto-Set Preview Range (Ctrl-Alt-P). These tools both use the max extents of the keyframes to determine their (time)range.
2009-01-012.5:Joshua Leung
First commit for 2009! Started of porting of Animation Editor Channels stuff. This code will be used for both the Action and IPO editors, so any existing code involving this has now been moved to the Animation module. * Added mouse-click operator for this channels view. Note: the selection stuff currently uses temporary toggling code only (i.e. it only toggles the selection of the channels in the editor, but does not update status of rest of database). * Fixed bugs in View2D listview functions. Reduced the amount of code needed, and makes the code here simpler. * Renamed action_edit_keyframes.c to action_edit.c, since channels are not handled there anymore. * Dopesheet now refreshes correctly when object selection elsewhere changes.
