Description

A logic error in Nextcloud Server 19.0.0 caused a plaintext storage of the share password when it was given on the initial create API call.

Affected Software

• Nextcloud Server < 19.0.1 (CVE-2020-8183)
• Nextcloud Server < 18.0.6 (CVE-2020-8183)

Action Taken

The error has been fixed.

Resolution

It is recommended that the Nextcloud Server is upgraded to 19.0.1.
