Even though Haiku is a niche OS, only minor changes are needed.

Deleting the old internal audaspace.
Major changes from there are:
- The whole library was refactored to use C++11.
- Many stability and performance improvements.
- Major Python API refactor:
- Most requested: Play self generated sounds using numpy arrays.
- For games: Sound list, random sounds and dynamic music.
- Writing sounds to files.
- Sequencing API.
- Opening sound devices, eg. Jack.
- Ability to choose different OpenAL devices in the user settings.

MX (Multiple conteXt) support was dropped from the GLEW 2.0 library to make core profile support cleaner.
Our WITH_GLEW_MX build option was OFF by default already; this commit removes the inactive code paths.
I'm working on a plan for multiple GPUs, contexts, resource sharing, etc. This commit gives us a cleaner starting point for that upcoming work.
Tested on Mac, will test on Linux & Windows immediately after pushing.

Similar to previous commit for Gflags.
|
|
It is disabled by default, so should not affect existing configurations.
Main benefits of this goes as:
- Linux distros can use that to avoid libraries duplication and link
blender package against gflags package from the system.
- It it easier to test whether Blender works with updated version of
Gflags prior to re-bundling the library.

Currently the tests don't run on windows for the following reasons
1) render_graph_finalize has an linking issue due missing a bunch of libraries (not sure why this is not an issue for linux)
2) This one is more interesting, in test/python/cmakelists.txt ${TEST_BLENDER_EXE_BARE} and ${TEST_BLENDER_EXE} are flat out wrong, but for some reason this doesn't matter for most tests, cause ctest will actually go out and look for the executable and fix the path for you *BUT* only for the command, if you use them in any of the parameters it'll happily pass on the wrong path.
3) on linux you can just run a .py file, windows is not as awesome and needs to be told to run it with pyton.
4) had to use the NAME/COMMAND long form of add_test otherwise $<TARGET_FILE:blender> doesn't get expanded, why? beats me.
5) missing idiff.exe for msvc2015/x64 in the libs folder.
This patch addresses 1-4 , but given I have no working Linux build environment, I'm unsure if it'll break anything there
5 has been fixed in rBL61751

All in all, this patch adds an Alembic importer, an Alembic exporter,
and a new CacheFile data block which, for now, wraps around an Alembic
archive. This data block is made available through a new modifier ("Mesh
Sequence Cache") as well as a new constraint ("Transform Cache") to
somewhat properly support respectively geometric and transformation data
streaming from alembic caches.
A more in-depth documentation is to be found on the wiki, as well as a
guide to compile alembic: https://wiki.blender.org/index.php/
User:Kevindietrich/AlembicBasicIo.
Many thanks to everyone involved in this little project, and huge shout
out to "cgstrive" for the thorough testings with Maya, 3ds Max, Houdini
and Realflow as well as @fjuhec, @jensverwiebe and @jasperge for the
custom builds and compile fixes.

This reverts commit f12204196fb1ee985ab9745cf9c70877601145f9.
Campbell, sorry. have to revert this for the time being.
We've missed some very important bits, such as:
- FFmpeg is usually linked against OpenJPEG
- OIIO needs OpenJPEG as well.
For FFmpeg issues we can either disable OpenJPEG there (since
we don't really use it), or bump FFmpeg to version 3.1.1 which
can use either of OpenJPEG 1.5 or 2.1.
For OIIO we do need OpenJPEG support (otherwise Cycles will
not be able to use j2k/j2c textures) and currently there is
NO solution to make OIIO working with OpenJPEG 2.1.
According to Matthias Fauconneau (aka mfv) Larry is working
on the patch to get OIIO work with OpenJPEG 2.1, but it'll
take some time still.
I've tried to look into support of some sort of build system
flag and do ifdefs, but it all becomes quite nasty, especially
with bundled OpenJPEG bumped to 2.1.
Surely such an update is something we'll have to apply to
but at this exact moment it causes quite some pain for all
developers.
Suggest to wait for until OIIO supports OpenJPEG 2.1 and then
go with the updates for real.

Stream handling has changed so this required changes to how files & memory are accessed.

Unfortunately this doesn't make all tests compilable due
to all sort of weird and wonderful bad levels includes
on Windows (G referenced from bf_blenlib) but at least
allows to selectively build tests for now.

simulations.
This commits implements OpenVDB as an extra cache format in the Point
Cache system for smoke simulations. Compilation with the library is
turned off by default for now, and shall be enabled when the library is
present.
A documentation of its doings is available here: http://
wiki.blender.org/index.php/User:Kevindietrich/OpenVDBSmokeExport.
A guide to compile OpenVDB can be found here (Linux): http://

Even when static option isn't enabled, use the static library path if the dynamic library isn't found.

This patch will match where install_deps puts OpenSubdiv.

The idea is to split them into two separate targets and have dedicated include
directories list for each of them in order to avoid some annoying include header
modifications in comparison with upstream.

- rename WITH_EXTERNAL_AUDASPACE to WITH_SYSTEM_AUDASPACE.
- rename C/PYAUDASPACE to AUDASPACE_C/PY
- simplifying cmake defines and includes.
- fixing include paths and enabling WITH_SYSTEM_AUDASPACE for windows.
- fixing scons building.
- other minor build system fixes.
|
|
- Added the cmake configuration option WITH_EXTERNAL_AUDASPACE.
- Fixes to build without standalone library as well.

This includes C-API bindings in intern/opensubdiv and CMAke module
which finds the OpenSubdiv library. This filea are not in use so
far, making it a separate commit to make actual integration commit
more clear.
