2020-03-19Cleanup: `make format` after SortedIncludes changeDalai Felinto
2019-05-01Cleanup: comments (long lines) in cyclesCampbell Barton
2019-04-17ClangFormat: apply to source, most of internCampbell Barton
Apply clang format as proposed in T53211. For details on usage and instructions for migrating branches without conflicts, see: https://wiki.blender.org/wiki/Tools/ClangFormat
2018-11-09Cycles: Cleanup, spacing after preprocessorSergey Sharybin
It is supposed to be two spaces before comment stating which if else/endif statements corresponds to. Was mainly violated in the header guards.
2018-07-15Fix Cycles incorrect resize and CMYK conversion of uint16/half images.Brecht Van Lommel
2018-07-06Cleanup: strip trailing space for cyclesCampbell Barton
2018-07-05Cycles: Adding native support for UINT16 textures.Stefan Werner
Textures in 16 bit integer format are sometimes used for displacement, bump and normal maps and can be exported by tools like Substance Painter. Without this patch, Cycles would promote those textures to single precision floating point, causing them to take up twice as much memory as needed. 2017-03-29Cycles: Make all #include statements relative to cycles source directorySergey Sharybin
The idea is to make include statements more explicit and obvious where the file is coming from, additionally reducing chance of wrong header being picked up. For example, it was not obvious whether bvh.h was refferring to builder or traversal, whenter node.h is a generic graph node or a shader node and cases like that. Surely this might look obvious for the active developers, but after some time of not touching the code it becomes less obvious where file is coming from. This was briefly mentioned in T50824 and seems @brecht is fine with such explicitness, but need to agree with all active developers before committing this. Please note that this patch is lacking changes related on GPU/OpenCL support. This will be solved if/when we all agree this is a good idea to move forward. 2017-02-23Cycles: Fix compilation error on 32bit LinuxSergey Sharybin
2017-02-23Cycles: Add utility function to convert float to halfSergey Sharybin
handles overflow and underflow, but not NaN/inf.
2016-08-11Cycles: Enable half float support (4 channels and 1 channel) on CUDA.Thomas Dinges
Atm OpenEXR half files benefit from this and will use only 1/2 of the memory now. More space for HDRs! Part of my GSoC 2016.
2016-06-19Cycles: Support half and half4 textures.Thomas Dinges
This is an initial commit for half texture support in Cycles. It adds the basic infrastructure inside of the ImageManager and support for these textures on CPU. Supported: * Half Float OpenEXR images (can be used for e.g HDRs or Normalmaps) now use 1/2 the memory, when loaded via disk (OIIO). ToDo: Various things like support for inbuilt half textures, GPU... will come later, step by step. Part of my GSoC 2016.
2015-05-10Cycles: fix compilation on 32-bit Windows for half-floatsSv. Lockal
Reported by IRC user HG1.
2015-05-10Cycles: Use native float->half conversion instructions for Haswell CPUs.Sv. Lockal
This makes OCIO viewport color correction a little bit faster (about -0.5s for 100 samples) Also set max half float value to 65504.0 to conform with IEEE 754.
2014-12-25Cleanup: Fix Cycles Apache header.Thomas Dinges
This was already mixed a bit, but the dot belongs there.
2014-06-13Cycles Refactor: Add SSE Utility code from Embree for cleaner SSE code.Thomas Dinges
This makes the code a bit easier to understand, and might come in handy if we want to reuse more Embree code. Differential Revision: https://developer.blender.org/D482 Code by Brecht, with fixes by Lockal, Sergey and myself.
2014-02-27Cycles: compile fix after rB7808360c5f (own mistake)Sv. Lockal
2014-02-27Cycles: fix crash in SSE hair and half-floats on x86+vc2008Sv. Lockal
MSVC 2008 ignores alignement attribute when assigning from unaligned float4 vector, returned from other function. Now Cycles uses unaligned loads instead of casts for win32 in x86 mode.
2014-01-15Code cleanup: move half float functions to separate header file.Brecht Van Lommel
