2011-05-31cmake maintenanceCampbell Barton
blender_add_lib now takes a separate include argument to suppress warnings in system includes (mostly ffmpeg & python). also only build wm_apple.c on apple+carbon configuration.

2010-12-03- added GCC warning -Wstrict-prototypesCampbell Barton
- fixed bug in paste material, exposed by stricter warnings. - removed/renamed various shadowed vars. - removed BGE lamp.colour, only allow lamp.color attribute.
2010-11-29include headers in cmake source, added a script to check for consistency, ↵Campbell Barton
reporting missing headers & C files. this is important so IDE's using CMake integration always get blender headers. - QtCreator & MSVC for eg, probably others too.
2010-10-23Remove msvc build files which are not needed anymore.Campbell Barton
2010-10-23use explicit file paths for CMake rather then globing, This is recommended ↵Campbell Barton
by cmake devs. globbing vs explicit is discussed here. http://www.cmake.org/pipermail/cmake/2008-December/025694.html Practical implications are: - developers need to keep CMakeLists.txt files up to date. - Users wont get strange linking errors if they build after a file is added, since CMake detects CMakeLists.txt is modified and automatically reconfigure.
2010-10-21tweaks to external libs to get rid of warnings.Campbell Barton
2010-10-18enable DEBUG define in CMake and scons, also change booleans debug option to ↵Campbell Barton
BOP_DEBUG, which was used inconsistently, and had to add a define for superlu.

2009-08-14some fixes for netbsd with cmakeCampbell Barton
- CMake, use FIND_PACKAGE(Freetype) for unix/linux - Only link with libdl.so on linux - use statvfs rather then statfs for netbsd (size of statfs wasnt available) - add x11 include path with ghost, glu.
2009-04-202.50: svn merge https://svn.blender.org/svnroot/bf-blender/trunk/blender ↵Brecht Van Lommel

2009-03-182.50: svn merge https://svn.blender.org/svnroot/bf-blender/trunk/blender ↵Brecht Van Lommel
-r18677:19317 Notes: * Sequence transform strip uses G.scene global, this is commented out now, should be fixed. * Etch-a-ton code was most difficult to merge. The files already in 2.5 got merged, but no new files were added. Calls to these files are commented out with "XXX etch-a-ton". editarmature.c and transform_snap.c were complex to merge. Martin, please check? * Game engine compiles and links again here for scons/make/cmake (player still fails to link).

2008-12-232.5 / SConsNathan Letwory
I did a very drastic cleanup for the different libgroups, there's now only a few left. It compiled with scons/msvc, will be testing in a bit on linux, too. If you get any problems, please reply to this commit message on the taskforce ML.
2008-11-13Merge of trunk into blender 2.5:Brecht Van Lommel
svn merge https://svn.blender.org/svnroot/bf-blender/trunk/blender -r12987:17416 Issues: * GHOST/X11 had conflicting changes. Some code was added in 2.5, which was later added in trunk also, but reverted partially, specifically revision 16683. I have left out this reversion in the 2.5 branch since I think it is needed there. http://projects.blender.org/plugins/scmsvn/viewcvs.php?view=rev&root=bf-blender&revision=16683 * Scons had various conflicting changes, I decided to go with trunk version for everything except priorities and some library renaming. * In creator.c, there were various fixes and fixes for fixes related to the -w -W and -p options. In 2.5 -w and -W is not coded yet, and -p is done differently. Since this is changed so much, and I don't think those fixes would be needed in 2.5, I've left them out. * Also in creator.c: there was code for a python bugfix where the screen was not initialized when running with -P. The code that initializes the screen there I had to disable, that can't work in 2.5 anymore but left it commented as a reminder. Further I had to disable some new function calls. using src/ and python/, as was done already in this branch, disabled function calls: * bpath.c: error reporting * BME_conversions.c: editmesh conversion functions. * SHD_dynamic: disabled almost completely, there is no python/. * KX_PythonInit.cpp and Ketsji/ build files: Mathutils is not there, disabled. * text.c: clipboard copy call. * object.c: OB_SUPPORT_MATERIAL. * DerivedMesh.c and subsurf_ccg, stipple_quarttone. Still to be done: * Go over files and functions that were moved to a different location but could still use changes that were done in trunk.

projectfiles_vc9\blender\blender.sln solution, you just need to open that solution to compile everything with VS2008.

Fix for bug #7856: crash hitting "neg" button for particle vertex groups.
2007-11-05Mesh Deform ModifierBrecht Van Lommel
==================== The MeshDeform modifier can deform a mesh with another 'cage' mesh. It is similar to a lattice modifier, but instead of being restricted to the regular grid layout of a lattice, the cage mesh can be modeled to fit the mesh better. http://www.blender.org/development/current-projects/changes-since-244/modifiers/ Implementation Notes: - OpenNL has been refactored a bit to allow least squares matrices to be built without passing the matrix row by row, but instead with random access. MDef doesn't need this actually, but it's using this version of OpenNL so I'm just committing it now. - Mean value weights for polygons have been added to arithb.c, a type of barycentric coordinates for polygons with >= 3 vertices. This might be useful for other parts of blender too.

building with random access work together with variable locking.

I should have talked to joeedh before committing last time... This is an another attempt to fix the mingw long commandline issue on all versions of windows (I didn't realize that the 2k in Win2k refered to the length of the commandline). In this version, I break libsrc.a up so that no archive has more than 30 object files (adjustable with one line of code). I also fudge the priority numbers to ensure correct linking. This was done in a "guess the number" way until it worked, so please test and please check for correctness.
2006-11-17CMake lists initial submission. Documentationand further verification for ↵Jacques Beuarain
different platforms will follow soon. This was just tested against current CVS on MSVC 2005 with Verse, QuickTime, OpenEXR, Player all on.
2006-10-27More bugs found thanks to klockworkKent Mein
mallocn.c check malloced memory before using it. ssp_blas2.c free memory that wasn't but should have been. Kent
