2020-12-20UI: Fix text padding in some list widgetsYevgeny Makarov
Normally, pure text buttons have no padding at their edges so they align with edges of buttons, see D9058. However, in several cases there are labels aligned to the right side of a list widget row, so they're missing padding against the right edge. The fix is to use emboss = 'NONE' for such labels, which changes the drawing style, adding padding on the right edge. (Normally so labels aligned with the text from non-embossed buttons). This is not necessarily intended, but it works properly. For more information, see the revision. Differential Revision: https://developer.blender.org/D9874
2020-10-05UI: Changes to Viewport Display UI of Volume Object and FluidSriharsha Kotcharlakot
- Density, interpolation and slicing options in Volume Object's Viewport Display are now not aligned to each other as they are not closely related. - Changed the enum property for slicing ('Method') to a boolean property 'Slice' and added a sub-panel for slicing options under the 'Viewport Display' panel in Volume Object and Fluid for better clarity. - Renamed `axis_slice_method` to `use_slice` in the python API for Volume Object and Fluid. 2020-09-15Liquid Simulation Display Options (GSoC 2020)Sriharsha Kotcharlakot
All the changes made in the branch `soc-2020-fluid-tools` are included in this patch. **Major changes:** === Viewport Display === - //Raw voxel display// or //closest (nearest-neighbor)// interpolation for displaying the underlying voxel data of the simulation grids more clearly. - An option to display //gridlines// when the slicing method is //single//. ==== Grid Display ==== - Visualization for flags, pressure and level-set representation grids with a fixed color coding based on Manta GUI. ==== Vector Display ==== - //**M**arker **A**nd **C**ell// grid visualization options for vector grids like velocity or external forces. - Made vector display options available for external forces. ==== Coloring options for //gridlines// ==== - Range highlighting and cell filtering options for displaying the simulation grid data more precisely. - Color gridlines with flags. - Also, made slicing and interpolation options available for Volume Object. 2020-03-18Volumes: add render settings for volume datablockBrecht Van Lommel
* Space: volume density and step size in object or world space * Step Size: override automatic step size * Clipping: values below this are ignored for tighter volume bounds The last two are Cycles only currently. Ref T73201
2020-03-18Objects: Eevee and workbench rendering of new Volume, Hair, PointCloudBrecht Van Lommel
Only the volume drawing part is really finished and exposed to the user. Hair plugs into the existing hair rendering code and is fairly straightforward. The pointcloud drawing is a hack using overlays rather than Eevee and workbench. The most tricky part for volume rendering is the case where each volume grid has a different transform, which requires an additional matrix in the shader and non-trivial logic in Eevee volume drawing. In the common case were all the transforms match we don't use the additional per-grid matrix in the shader. Ref T73201, T68981 Differential Revision: https://developer.blender.org/D6955
2020-03-18Objects: add Volume object type, and prototypes for Hair and PointCloudBrecht Van Lommel
Only the volume object is exposed in the user interface. It is based on OpenVDB internally. Drawing and rendering code will follow in another commit. https://wiki.blender.org/wiki/Source/Objects/Volume https://wiki.blender.org/wiki/Reference/Release_Notes/2.83/Volumes Hair and PointCloud object types are hidden behind a WITH_NEW_OBJECT_TYPES build option. These are unfinished, and included only to make it easier to cooperate on development in the future and avoid tricky merges. https://wiki.blender.org/wiki/Source/Objects/New_Object_Types Ref T73201, T68981 Differential Revision: https://developer.blender.org/D6945
