This commit integrates the work done so far on the new dependency graph system,
where goal was to replace legacy depsgraph with the new one, supporting loads of
neat features like:
- More granular dependency relation nature, which solves issues with fake cycles
in the dependencies.
- Move towards all-animatable, by better integration of drivers into the system.
- Lay down some basis for upcoming copy-on-write, overrides and so on.
The new system is living side-by-side with the previous one and disabled by
default, so nothing will become suddenly broken. The way to enable new depsgraph
is to pass `--new-depsgraph` command line argument.
It's a bit early to consider the system production-ready, there are some TODOs
and issues were discovered during the merge period, they'll be addressed ASAP.
But it's important to merge, because it's the only way to attract artists to
really start testing this system.
There are number of assorted documents related on the design of the new system:
* http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/User:Aligorith/GSoC2013_Depsgraph#Design_Documents
* http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/User:Nazg-gul/DependencyGraph
There are also some user-related information online:
* http://code.blender.org/2015/02/blender-dependency-graph-branch-for-users/
* http://code.blender.org/2015/03/more-dependency-graph-tricks/
Kudos to everyone who was involved into the project:
- Joshua "Aligorith" Leung -- design specification, initial code
- Lukas "lukas_t" Toenne -- integrating code into blender, with further fixes
- Sergey "Sergey" "Sharybin" -- some mocking around, trying to wrap up the
project and so
- Bassam "slikdigit" Kurdali -- stressing the new system, reporting all the
issues and recording/writing documentation.
- Everyone else who i forgot to mention here :)

and RNA for it independent of the build flag for enabling Freestyle. Suggested
by Sergey Sharybin through a code review of the branch.
* Many #ifdef WITH_FREESTYLE blocks were removed to always have Freestyle-specific
DNA file specification and RNA for it built in Blender. This will allow Freestyle
setting survive even when a non-Freestyle build is used for loading and saving
files. It is noted that operations are still conditionally built through #ifdef
WITH_FREESTYLE blocks.
* To this end, new blenkernel files BKE_freestyle.h and intern/freestyle.c have
been added. All API functions in FRS_freestyle_config.h as well as some of those
in FRS_freestyle.h were moved to the new files. Now the relocated API functions
have BKE_ prefix instead of FRS_.

This modules does not depend on any blender-specific data

placed to intern/
Shall be no functional changes, tested CMake and SCons on
Linux, hopefully other platforms will work as well.
P.S. SVN history shall be preserved for the files.

This is just the basic structure, the simulation isn't hooked up yet.
Scenes get a pointer to a rigid body world that holds rigid body objects.
Objects get a pointer to a rigdid body object.
Both rigid body world and objects aren't used directly in the simulation
and only hold information to create the actual physics objects.
Physics objects are created when rigid body objects are validated.
In order to keep blender and bullet objects in sync care has to be taken
to either call appropriate set functions or flag objects for validation.
Part of GSoC 2010 and 2012.

Additional changes:
* source/blender/makesrna/intern/rna_linestyle.c: Fixed white
space issues that generated a number of compiler errors. The
problem was that two string literals for enumerating MA_RAMP_SOFT
and MA_RAMP_LINEAR contained a space. The string literals are
supposed to represent a valid C identifier because of their use
for automatic code generation.
* Stroke transparency has been temporarily disabled due to a
functionality conflict with some merged changes. A fix of this
issue is planned.

patch by Ben Batt (artificer)
Updated patch for 6 or so modifiers added since the patch was written.
- tested with CMake and SCons
- fixed one error were flags were being added to the fluids type.
- remove BKE_simple_deform.h, simple_deform.c, move functions into MOD_simpledeform.c since there were problems with circular deps.
- moved some fluid and boolean functions used by modifiers too.

COLLADA code is disabled by default (it has dependencies requiring manual install).
SCons and CMake builds are supported on Windows and Linux, no Mac building yet. More on building COLLADA code: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/User:Kazanbas/Building_Collada_Branch.

- proper Freestyle initialization, with support for undo/redo
- re-added FreestyleStyleConfig data structure
- Freestyle Python interpreter updated
This commit should compile without errors. More work is necessary to complete the migration:
- add Freestyle in the UI
- set up RNA support
|
|
|
|
pointcache.c also needed to have checks for these defines.
|

Makefile updated but not tested. Comes with Eigen2 2.0.6 C++ matrix library.

with the "Ignore ancestry" and "Ignore line endings" options enabled (using
TortoiseSVN on Windows).
After the merge operation, all changes (i.e., deletion) in source/blender/freestyle/
were reverted in order to keep the primary source tree of the Freestyle renderer.

* removed radiosity render code, DNA and RNA (left in radio render pass options), we'll get GI to replace this probably, better allow baking to vertex colors for people who used this.
* removed deprecated solid physics library, sumo integrations and qhull, a dependency
* removed ODE, was no longer being build or supported
* remove BEOS and AMIGA defines and references in Makefiles.

Cleanup commit:
- Yafray removed. Also did cmake/scons files, but didn't compile with it,
so test would be appreciated :)
- Removed old crap from Windows release dir, should be checked on
further by windows release builder later.

this to work, so um hopefully there's not too much cruft from that.
[[Split portion of a mixed commit.]]

Grand cleanup:
- removal of FTF and ftfont dir
- removal of text.c which wrapped it
- wrapped old text drawing code temporarily, need to decide how 'style'
will behave per editor when you draw strings outside interface code....
wouldn't be very useful to set fonts locally all over?

like so:
[opname] [slotname]=%[format code]
Before it was relying on the input format codes being in the same proper
order as the slots, which seemed like a potential maintainance nightmare to
me. Also the flags for creating buffers from bmop flags or header flags,
now support additional modifiers for combining vert/edge/face inputs.
E.g. %hfvef would accept all geometry with a header flag, and
%fef would accept edges and faces with a certain bmop flag set.
Example from the UI code:
if (!EDBM_CallOpf(em, op, "del geom=%hf context=%d", BM_SELECT, DEL_ONLYFACES))
return OPERATOR_CANCELLED;
(remember EDBM_CallOpf is the UI wrapper for this that does conversion,
error reporting, etc).
On todo is cleaning up/splitting bmesh_operators.h,
since it's kindof a mesh right now. I'm thinking of adding the slot
names in comments next to the slot ids, but I definitely would have to
clean up bmesh_operators.h first, or it'd just be too chaotic for me.
BTW, the operator API should now have enough meta info to wrap with
a scripting language, not that it matters since that's not happening till
much much later.
Also hopefully corrected some SConscripts, fix mostly provided by Elia Sarti,
though I also copied some SConscripts from 2.5 (not sure if doing
so was especially helpful).
Finally, I refactored a few places to use the new operator calling api,
as an example of how this is beneficial.
