Use a shorter/simpler license convention, stops the header taking so
much space.
Follow the SPDX license specification: https://spdx.org/licenses
- C/C++/objc/objc++
- Python
- Shell Scripts
- CMake, GNUmakefile
While most of the source tree has been included
- `./extern/` was left out.
- `./intern/cycles` & `./intern/atomic` are also excluded because they
use different header conventions.
doc/license/SPDX-license-identifiers.txt has been added to list SPDX all
used identifiers.

- Added space below non doc-string comments to make it clear
these aren't comments for the symbols directly below them.
- Use doxy sections for some headers.
- Minor improvements to doc-strings.

This replaces header include guards with `#pragma once`.
A couple of include guards are not removed yet (e.g. `__RNA_TYPES_H__`),
because they are used in other places.
This patch has been generated by P1561 followed by `make format`.

Surrounding includes with an 'extern "C"' block is not necessary anymore.
Also that made it harder to add any C++ code to some headers, or include headers
that have "optional" C++ code like `MEM_guardedalloc.h`.
I tested compilation on linux and windows (and got help from @LazyDodo).
If this still breaks compilation due to some linker error, the header containing
the symbol in question is probably missing an 'extern "C"' block.

Modifier previews should be implemented by a more generic system.
The current system is already a hack and needed a lot of work
to get it working again in 2.80 and even so that would be replaced by
another system in the near future.
For Vertex Colors we have a work around in place by using Workbench
Vertex Colors. For Vertex Weights we loose the previewing. Not sure
targetting weight is working (even for 279).

The issue was caused by mesh needed for dynamic paint brush being
stored in the modifier. That make it to be freed and set to NULL
when running copy-on-write.
Solved by moving the mesh to be stored in modifier's runtime data.

While \file doesn't need an argument, it can't have another doxy
command after it.

Move \ingroup onto same line to be more compact and
make it clear the file is in the group.

BF-admins agree to remove header information that isn't useful,
to reduce noise.
- BEGIN/END license blocks
Developers should add non license comments as separate comment blocks.
No need for separator text.
- Contributors
This is often invalid, outdated or misleading
especially when splitting files.
It's more useful to git-blame to find out who has developed the code.

We don't have warnings in 2.8 because of include order.
But headers shouldn't depend on that for warnings, really.

This commit actually adds some G.main... but at much, much higher level
than the ones it removes, so should still be better ;)
|
|
Had to add some G.main to modifiers, but in 2.8 we do not need that
anymore, so it's not that bad! ;)
|
|
|
|
This also changes signature of modifier copy callback, first (source)
parameter is now a const, which is saner anyway!

The depsgraph was always created within a fixed evaluation context. Passing
both risks the depsgraph and evaluation context not matching, and it
complicates the Python API where we'd have to expose both which is not so
easy to understand.
This also removes the global evaluation context in main, which assumed there
to be a single active scene and view layer.

The RenderResult struct still has a listbase of RenderLayer, but that's ok
since this is strictly for rendering.
* Subversion bump (to 2.80.2)
* DNA low level doversion (renames) - only for .blend created since 2.80 started
Note: We can't use DNA_struct_elem_find or get file version in init_structDNA,
so we are manually iterating over the array of the SDNA elements instead.
Note 2: This doversion change with renames can be reverted in a few months. But
so far it's required for 2.8 files created between October 2016 and now.

2.8x branch added bContext arg in many places,
pass eval-context instead since its not simple to reason about what
what nested functions do when they can access and change almost anything.
Also use const to prevent unexpected modifications.
This fixes crash loading files with shadows,
since off-screen buffers use a NULL context for rendering.
|
|
Note that some little parts of code have been dissabled because eval_ctx
was not available there. This should be resolved once DerivedMesh is
replaced.

Due to postponement of particle system rewrite it was decided to put particle code
back into the 2.8 branch for the time being.

inconsistency between 2.67/2.68RC and previous versions
This was in fact really nasty bug, caused by multitex_nodes
function using global variable R (which is a copy of current
renderer). this variable is not initialized to anything
meaningful for until first rendering (preview or final)
happened.
Since multitex_nodes might be used outside of render pipeline,
made it so whether CM is on or off as an argument to functions
multitex_ext_safe and multitex_ext. Now multitex_nodes() is
only shall be used for stuff happening from render pipeline!
Also needed to make some changes to other places, so all the
usages of texture sampling knows for the fact whether CM is
on or off.
And one more change is related on behavior of dispalcement,
wave, warp, weightvg modifiers and smoke. They'll be always
using CM off since texture is used for influence, not for
color.
It's rather bigger patch, but it's mostly straightforward
changes, which we really need to be done.

* Wave simulation speed doesn't anymore depend on surface size, but uses relative distances instead. This change will likely change simulation behavior on existing saves, but can be easily tweaked back using the "Wave Speed" parameter.
* Added a new wave brush type, "Depth Change". It uses the change of brush intersection between frames, giving a better looking "wake" for moving objects. It also doesn't leave any "dent" to the surface while remaining still.
