MSVC used to warn about const mismatch for arguments passed by value.
Remove these as newer versions of MSVC no longer show this warning.

- Added space below non doc-string comments to make it clear
these aren't comments for the symbols directly below them.
- Use doxy sections for some headers.
- Minor improvements to doc-strings.

Function was declared twice (caused by merge conflicts) which GCC would
rightfully complain about.

* Support defining (not necessarily rendering) icons in threads. Needed so the
File Browser can expose file previews with an icon-id to scripts.
** For that, ported `icons.c` to C++, to be able to use scope based mutex locks
(cleaner & safer code). Had to do some cleanups and minor refactoring for
that.
* Added support for ImBuf icons, as a decent way for icons to hold the file
preview buffers.
* Tag previews as "unfinished" while they render in a thread, for the File
Browser to dynamically load previews as they get finished.
* Better handle cases where threaded preview generation is requested, but the
ID type doesn't support it (fallback to single threaded). This is for general
sanity of the code (as in, safety and cleanness)
* Enabled asset notifier for custom preview loading operator, was just disabled
because `NC_ASSET` wasn't defined in master yet.

This makes it possible to turn data-blocks into assets and back into normal
data-blocks. A core design decision made for the asset system is that not every
data-block should be an asset, because not every data-block is made for reuse.
Users have to explicitly mark data-blocks as assets.
Exposes "Mark Asset" and "Clear Asset" in Outliner context menus (currently ID
Data submenu) and button context menus. We are still not too happy with the
names, they may change.
This uses the new context members to pass data-blocks to operators, added in
af008f553293 and 0c1d4769235c.

No automatic preview generation will ever be good enough to cover all cases
well. So custom preview images are a must for a preview driven data-block
selection - like for asset browsing.
The operator simply allows selecting an image file, which will then be read and
copied into the data-blocks preview (resized if necessary).
There's no UI for this currently and the operator won't be available in the
search menu yet. It will later once the Asset Browser UI is merged.

This replaces header include guards with `#pragma once`.
A couple of include guards are not removed yet (e.g. `__RNA_TYPES_H__`),
because they are used in other places.
This patch has been generated by P1561 followed by `make format`.

While \file doesn't need an argument, it can't have another doxy

Move \ingroup onto same line to be more compact and
make it clear the file is in the group.

Developers should add non license comments as separate comment blocks.
No need for separator text.

It's more useful to git-blame to find out who has developed the code.

This commit merge the full development done in greasepencil-object branch and include mainly the following features.
- New grease pencil object.
- New drawing engine.
- New grease pencil modes Draw/Sculpt/Edit and Weight Paint.
- New brushes for grease pencil.
- New modifiers for grease pencil.
- New shaders FX.
- New material system (replace old palettes and colors).
- Split of annotations (old grease pencil) and new grease pencil object.
- UI adapted to blender 2.8.

This is the result of nearly two years of development and I want thanks firstly the other members of the grease pencil team: Daniel M. Lara, Matias Mendiola and Joshua Leung for their support, ideas and to keep working in the project all the time, without them this project had been impossible.
Also, I want thanks other Blender developers for their help, advices and to be there always to help me, and specially to Clément Foucault, Dalai Felinto, Pablo Vázquez and Campbell Barton.

The Studio lights are now loaded from disk. The location is
`datafiles/studiolights` they need to be JPG for now. JPG cannot store
HDRI color range but they are clamped inside the Workbench
engine for speed reason. I didn't select JP2K as it might not be
enabled.
Users can add upto 20 HDRI files. This limitation is inside the
RNA_space.c Currently the icons are calculated when you first open the
selection box for the HDRI's. We could add them to a background
rendering later.
I added 2 test files a sky texture rendered in Cycles and an HDRI from
cloud.blender.org.

Confusing when adding non-id icons.

Added a lock-free deferred queue for deletion. Now if ID icon
is requested to be freed from non-main thread, it will be added
to the deferred list. Actual deletion will happen later from main
thread.
Currently actual deletion only happens next time BKE_icon_id_delete()
is called, which might not be enough. But it's easy to enforce
deferred deletion.
Icons for preview images are not covered by deferred deletion yet.

Noisy change, but safe, and better do it sooner than later if we are to

Blender.
Issue was happening when removal of custom icons was done while they
were still being rendered by preview job.
Now add a 'deffered deletion' system, to prevent main thread to delete
preview image until loading thread is done with them.
Note that ideally, calling `ED_preview_kill_jobs()` on custom icon
removal would have been simpler, but we don't have easy access to
context here...

datablocks.
BKE_previewimg_copy() would simply copy PreviewImage's icon_id, without bothering about
ID one.
When we duplicate an ID, we want to reset its icon_id to zero (and regenerate it on-demand),
not keep same icon_id as original, so added new BKE_previewimg_id_copy helper to handle that.
|
|
- icon_id from ID and PreviewImage were not guaranteed to be in sync.
- PreviewImage one was not reset on file read.
- Through RNA e.g., it was possible to ensure an ID icon via its preview image,
which was running code designed for custom previews/icons system, instead
of generating correct 'auto ID icon'.
|
|
This commit mainly:
* Exposes PreviewImage struct in RNA, including ways for user to set images data.
* Adds a new kind of PreviewImage, using a file path and IMB_thumb to get image.
* Adds a new kind of custom icon using PreviewImage, unrelated to ID previews system.
* Adds a python API (utils.previews) to allow python scripts to access those custom previews/icons.
Note that loading image from files' thumbnails is done when needed (deferred loading), not
when defining the custom preview/icon.
WARNING: for release addons who would want to use this, please keep it to a strict minimum, really needed level.
We do not want our UI to explode under hundreds of different flashy icons!

Initial commit of imagebrowser in trunk.
BIG COMMIT!
Main changes:
* completely reworked imasel space
* creation and storage of the preview images for materials, textures, world and lamp
* thumbnails of images and movie files when browsing in the file system
* loading previews from external .blend when linking or appending
* thumbnail caching according to the Thumbnail Managing Standard: http://jens.triq.net/thumbnail-spec/
* for now just kept imasel access mostly as old imgbrowser (CTRL+F4, CTRL+F1) a bit hidden still.
* filtering of file types (images, movies, .blend, py,...)
* preliminary managing of bookmarks ('B' button to add, XKEY while bookmark active to delete)
More detailed info which will be updated here: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/User:Elubie/PreviewImageBrowser
Places that need special review (and probably fixes):
* BLO_blendhandle_get_previews in readblenentry
* readfile.c: do_version and refactorings of do_library_append
* UI integration
TODO and known issues still:
* Accented characters do not display correctly with international fonts
* Crash was reported when browsing in directory with movie files
* Bookmark management still needs some UI work (second scrollbar?), feedback here is welcome!

Samir Bharadwaj (samirbharadwaj@yahoo.com) for the icon images.
