- Use 'float (*)[3]' to avoid casts.
- Remove unnecessary float[3] copy in gpencil_deform_verts.
- Use MEM_SAFE_FREE

This patch implements the list panel system D7490 for modifiers.
It also moves modifier drawing to a callback in ModifierTypeInfo
in line with the extensible architecture refactoring goal T75724.
This adds a PanelRegister callback and utilities for registering
panels and subpanels. It also adds the callbacks for expansion saving
and drag and drop reordering described in D7490.
These utilities, callbacks, and other common UI elements shared
between modifiers live in MOD_ui_common.c.
Because modifier buttons are now in panels, we can make use of
subpanels for organization. The UI layouts also use the single
column layout style consistently used elsewhere in Blender.
Additionally, the mode-setting buttons are aligned and ordered
consistently with the outliner.
However, the large number of UI changes in this patch may mean
that additional polishing is required in master.
Thanks to William Reynish (@billreynish) who did a fair amount of the
layout work and to Julian Eisel (@Severin) for consistent help.

This resolves a performance regression in 2.8x where every edit-mode
update performed an edit-mesh to mesh conversion.
Now the conversion will be lazily initialized if/when it's required.
New BKE_mesh_wrapper_* functions abstract over mesh data access.
Currently only edit-mesh and regular meshes are supported.
In the future sub-surface meshes may be supported too.

There is no user visible difference in standard builds, as there are no
volume modifiers yet. When using WITH_NEW_OBJECT_TYPES some deform only
modifiers are now available for hair and pointcloud objects.

Mpving utils from idcode to idtype proved to be somewhat painful for
some reasons, but now all looks good.
Had to add a fake/empty shell for the special snowflake too,
`ID_LINK_PLACEHOLDER/INDEX_ID_NULL`...

This is in preparation of new object types. This only changes mesh_eval, we
may do the same for mesh_deform_eval and other areas in the future if there is
a need for it.
This previously caused a bug in T74283, that should be fixed now.

than mesh"
This reverts commit f2b95b9eae2ee913c99cff7595527b18d8b49d0a.
Fix T74283: modifier display lost when moving object in edit mode.
The cause is not immediately obvious so better to revert and look at this
carefully.

Note that `BKE_library.h`/`library.c` were renamed to
`BKE_lib_id.h`/`lib_id.c` to avoid having a too generic name here.

A collection of smaller changes that are required in the /blender/source files. A lot of them are also due to variable renaming.

The `modifiers_getVirtualModifierList()` function previously took a non-
const `Object *ob` parameter, preventing it from being called from more
restrictive functions. Since the function doesn't modify the passed
object, it could easily be made const.

Previously in 2.79 we were using a specialized drawing using derivedMesh.
Now the subsurf modifier tag each center vertex as facedot and let the
DRWManager pick it up.
Some modifiers (deforming ones) do not clear the tag so we can use this
technique even if there is deforming modifiers after subsurf modifiers.

Better to make internal code naming match official/UI naming to some
extent, this will reduce confusion in the future.
This is 'breaking' scripts and files that would use that feature, but
since it is not yet officially supported nor exposed in 2.80, as far
as that release is concerned, it is effectively
a 'no functional changes' commit.

This saves memory and evaluation time for simple static meshes with e.g. a
subdivision surface modifier. If no CD_ORCO layer exists then we assume the
actual vertex coordinates are equal to the original undeformed coordinates.

We still have base->flag_legacy & BA_WAS_SEL for the few cases we really
need to have a per-object selection check (used in the transform code).

A regression since 64c8d72ef1ad.
The solution is to force modifier evaluation for an evaluated
object, and let it to copy binding data back to original when
is being evaluated for binding.

We already have different storages for cddata of verts, edges etc.,
'simply' do the same for the mask flags we use all around Blender code
to request some data, or limit some operation to some layers, etc.
Reason we need this is that some cddata types (like Normals) are
actually shared between verts/polys/loops, and we don’t want to generate
clnors everytime we request vnors!
As a side note, this also does final fix to T59338, which was the
trigger for this patch (need to request computed loop normals for
another mesh than evaluated one).

While \file doesn't need an argument, it can't have another doxy
command after it.

`BKE_modifier_get_evaluated_mesh_from_evaluated_object()` used by
modifiers needing access to other objects' geometry probably skipped out
of the radar when cage and final evaluated meshes were added to
BMEditMesh? In any case, we do not need to duplicate (and then free!) a
temp mesh from editdata anymore, and we can even add instead a parameter
to get cage instead of final. Also makes modifiers code a bit simpler.

Was already used in some parts of the code,

Crash was due to some modifier trying to access the editmesh of its
target just after loading, when that editmesh has not yet been
re-created...
|
|
Was only used by subsurf in the past years, it is unlikely
other modifiers will every need this any time soon.
