As described in T91186, this commit moves mesh vertex normals into a
contiguous array of float vectors in a custom data layer, how face
normals are currently stored.
The main interface is documented in `BKE_mesh.h`. Vertex and face
normals are now calculated on-demand and cached, retrieved with an
"ensure" function. Since the logical state of a mesh is now "has
normals when necessary", they can be retrieved from a `const` mesh.
The goal is to use on-demand calculation for all derived data, but
leave room for eager calculation for performance purposes (modifier
evaluation is threaded, but viewport data generation is not).
**Benefits**
This moves us closer to a SoA approach rather than the current AoS
paradigm. Accessing a contiguous `float3` is much more efficient than
retrieving data from a larger struct. The memory requirements for
accessing only normals or vertex locations are smaller, and at the
cost of more memory usage for just normals, they now don't have to
be converted between float and short, which also simplifies code
In the future, the remaining items can be removed from `MVert`,
leaving only `float3`, which has similar benefits (see T93602).
Removing the combination of derived and original data makes it
conceptually simpler to only calculate normals when necessary.
This is especially important now that we have more opportunities
for temporary meshes in geometry nodes.
**Performance**
In addition to the theoretical future performance improvements by
making `MVert == float3`, I've done some basic performance testing
on this patch directly. The data is fairly rough, but it gives an idea
about where things stand generally.
- Mesh line primitive 4m Verts: 1.16x faster (36 -> 31 ms),
showing that accessing just `MVert` is now more efficient.
- Spring Splash Screen: 1.03-1.06 -> 1.06-1.11 FPS, a very slight
change that at least shows there is no regression.
- Sprite Fright Snail Smoosh: 3.30-3.40 -> 3.42-3.50 FPS, a small
but observable speedup.
- Set Position Node with Scaled Normal: 1.36x faster (53 -> 39 ms),
shows that using normals in geometry nodes is faster.
- Normal Calculation 1.6m Vert Cube: 1.19x faster (25 -> 21 ms),
shows that calculating normals is slightly faster now.
- File Size of 1.6m Vert Cube: 1.03x smaller (214.7 -> 208.4 MB),
Normals are not saved in files, which can help with large meshes.
As for memory usage, it may be slightly more in some cases, but
I didn't observe any difference in the production files I tested.
**Tests**
Some modifiers and cycles test results need to be updated with this
commit, for two reasons:
- The subdivision surface modifier is not responsible for calculating
normals anymore. In master, the modifier creates different normals
than the result of the `Mesh` normal calculation, so this is a bug
fix.
- There are small differences in the results of some modifiers that
use normals because they are not converted to and from `short`
anymore.
**Future improvements**
- Remove `ModifierTypeInfo::dependsOnNormals`. Code in each modifier
already retrieves normals if they are needed anyway.
- Copy normals as part of a better CoW system for attributes.
- Make more areas use lazy instead of eager normal calculation.
- Remove `BKE_mesh_normals_tag_dirty` in more places since that is
now the default state of a new mesh.
- Possibly apply a similar change to derived face corner normals.

The main goal of this refactor is to make BPath module use `IDTypeInfo`,
and move each ID-specific part of the `foreach_path` looper into their
own IDTypeInfo struct, using a new `foreach_path` callback.
Additionally, following improvements/cleanups are included:
* Attempt to get better, more consistent namings.
** In particular, move from `path_visitor` to more standard `foreach_path`.
* Update and extend documentation.
** API doc was moved to header, according to recent discussions on this
topic.
* Remove `BKE_bpath_relocate_visitor` from API, this is specific
callback that belongs in `lib_id.c` user code.
NOTE: This commit is expected to be 100% non-behavioral-change. This
implies that several potential further changes were only noted as
comments (like using a more generic solution for
`lib_id_library_local_paths`, addressing inconsistencies like path of
packed libraries always being skipped, regardless of the
`BKE_BPATH_FOREACH_PATH_SKIP_PACKED` `eBPathForeachFlag` flag value,
etc.).

Two issues addressed here:
I) `asset_type_info` is sub-data, not a callback. Therefore, move it
before the callbacks in the `IDTypeInfo` struct.
II) More important, initialize this new attribute in *ALL* `IDTypeInfo`
instances. No member of this struct should ever be left implicitely
uninitilazed, ever.

Fix a crash when a hair system's `ParticleSettings` ID datablock was
linked from another file but couldn't be found. This results in default
settings, with `type = PART_EMITTER`, where the particle data still has
a non-NULL `hair` pointer. Previously, copies of such a particle system
would NOT copy hair data for non-hair particle systems, hence the
pointer of the copy pointed to the original data, which got freed (at
least) twice upon closing the blend file.
This is now fixed by always copying the hair data, regardless of the
particle system type.

The new `BKE_LIB_FOREACHID_PROCESS_FUNCTION_CALL` execute the given

This is very similar to the other `BKE_LIB_FOREACHID_PROCESS_` existing

has requested it.

Before this patch attempting to remove a particle modifier programmatically
through Python would fail, because it deleted the modifier associated with
the currently active particle system instead of the one passed as an argument
to `bpy.types.ObjectModifiers.remove()`.
This fix adds an additional argument for the particle system to
`object_remove_particle_system`. This allows to specify which particle system
and its associated modifier shall be removed. In case of
`particle_system_remove_exec` it will remain the currently active particle
system, whereas `object_remove_particle_system` passes the particle system
of the modifier. Hence, the correct modifier will be removed.

After looking into task isolation issues with Sergey, we couldn't find the
reason behind the deadlocks that we are getting in T87938 and a Sprite Fright
file involving motion blur renders.
There is no apparent place where we adding or waiting on tasks in a task group
from different isolation regions, which is what is known to cause problems. Yet
it still hangs. Either we do not understand some limitation of TBB isolation,
or there is a bug in TBB, but we could not figure it out.
Instead the idea is to use isolation only where we know we need it: when
holding a mutex lock and then doing some multithreaded operation within that
locked region. Three places where we do this now:
* Generated images
* Cached BVH tree building
* OpenVDB lazy grid loading
Compared to the more automatic approach previously used, there is the downside
that it is easy to miss places where we need isolation. Yet doing it more
automatically is also causing unexpected issue and bugs that we found no
solution for, so this seems better.
Patch implemented by Sergey and me.

Under some circumstances using task isolation can cause deadlocks.
Previously, our task pool implementation would run all tasks in an
isolated region. Now using task isolation is optional and can be
turned on/off for individual task pools.
Task pools that spawn new tasks recursively should never enable
task isolation. There is a new check that finds these cases at runtime.
Right now this check is disabled, so that this commit is a pure refactor.
It will be enabled in an upcoming commit.
This fixes T88598.

The issue was that where_on_path uses a resampled curve to get the data
from the curve. This leads to disconnects between the curve the user
sees and the evaluated location data.
To fix this we simply use the actual curve data the user can see.
The older code needed a cleanup either way as there were hacks in other
parts of the code trying to work around some brokenness. This is now
fixed and we no longer need to clamp the evaluation range to 0-1 or make
helper functions to make it do what we actually want.

(`BKE_collection_master_scene_search` and `BKE_node_tree_find_owner_ID`).
No functional change expected here.
NOTE: Current implementation of `owner_get` is far from optimal, we
could probably do it better, see {T69169}.
NOTE: While it could also have it, shapekeys IDTypeInfo was left out of
this change for now. Mainly because it sould not be used currently, and
we ultimately want to demote shape keys from ID status anyway.

These two operators (one for grease pencil, one for other objects)
copy a single modifier from the active object to all selected objects.
The operators are exposed in the dropdown menus in modifier headers.
Note that It's currently possible to drag and drop modifiers between
objects in the outliner, but that only works for dragging to one object
at a time. Modifiers can also be copied with the "Make Links" operator,
but that copies *all* modifiers rather than just one. The placement
and scope of these new operators allow for more useful poll messages
and error messages as well.
Every object type that supports modifiers is supported. Although hook
and collision modifiers aren't supported because of an unexplained
comment in `BKE_object_copy_modifier`, other than that, every modifier
type is supported, including particle systems, nodes modifiers, etc.
The new modifiers are set active, which required two small tweaks to
`object.c` and `particle.c`.

Remove DNA headers, using forward declarations where possible.
Also removed duplicate header, header including it's self

This commit adds functions to set and get the object's active
modifier, which is stored as a flag in the ModifierData struct,
similar to constraints. This will be used to set the context in
the node editor. There are no visible changes in this commit.
Similar to how the node editor context works for materials, this commit
makes the node group displayed in the node editor depend on the active
object and its active modifier. To keep the node group from changing,
just pin the node group in the header.
* Shortcuts performed while there is an active modifier will affect
only that modifier (the exception is the A to expand the modifiers).
* Clicking anywhere on the empty space in a modifier's panel will make it active.
These changes require some refactoring of object modifier code. First
is splitting up the modifier property invoke callback, which now needs
to be able to get the active modifier separately from the hovered
modifier for the different operators.
Second is a change to removing modifiers, where there is now a separate
function to remove a modifier from an object's list, in order to handle
changing the active.
Finally, the panel handler needs a small tweak so that this "click in panel"
event can be handled afterwards.

Better use higher-level code from common ID management when possible.
Helps to de-duplicate logic, and reduces outside usages of more
'dangerous' functions.
Note that we could get rid of many of those `BKE_<id_type>_add`
functions now, but on the other hand several of those take extra
parameters and perform additional actions, so think we can keep them all
for now as 'non-standard ID specific creation functions'.

Those were only shallow wrappers around `BKE_id_copy`, barely used (even
fully unused in some cases), and we want to get rid of those ID-specific
helpers for the common ID management tasks. Also prevents weird custom
