Removed checks for PTCACHE_QUICK_CACHE for exception handling. This to ensure normal
cache works as if old PTCACHE_QUICK_CACHE wasn't set.
Thanks Campbell for pointing at this!
|
|
- Disabled "Quick Cache" option. It was causing ridiculous updates
on the entire animation system for start-end frame on every user
event causing changes here (like during transform). Worst was that you
couldn't transform animated objects for that reason either.
Most of the code is still there, waiting for a moment to revise it...
- Constraint "Follow Track" (marker) wasn't using inverse matrix code
in transform, making it wacko to use (wrong pivot, crazyspace)

Generated and UV coordinates from the duplicator of instance instead of the
object itself.
This was used in e.g. Big Buck Bunny for texturing instanced feathers with
a UV map on the bird. Many files changed, mainly to do some refactoring to
get rid of G.rendering global in duplilist code.
|
|
Issue was caused by cycles being duplicated curve objects before converting
them to mesh. This duplication will loose pointcache which resulted in object
not being properly deformed.
|
|
group/dupligroups (unlikely/intentional)
calling BKE_ptcache_ids_from_object() could recursively call BKE_object_handle_update(), when there is no reason to update object transforms at all. Add option not to do any updates and just return an object list.
|
|
BKE_utildefines is now unused but keep incase we want to add defines there later.

--debug
--debug-ffmpeg
--debug-python
--debug-events
--debug-wm
This makes debug output easier to read - event debug prints would flood output too much before.
For convenience:
--debug-all turns all debug flags on (works as --debug did before).
also removed some redundant whitespace in debug prints and prefix some prints with __func__ to give some context.

Not all file formats/calls are supported yet. It will be expended.
Please from now on use BLI_fopen, BLI_* for file manipulations.
For non-windows systems BLI_fopen just calls fopen.
For Windows, the utf-8 string is translated to utf-16 string in order to call UTF version of the function.

- More angular velocity modes to support creative effects.
- Renamed "Initial Rotation" to "Initial Orientation" to better reflect the functionality
- Renamed "Spin" angular velocity mode to "Velocity".
- Organized the rotation panel a bit better.
- Also some better names and tooltips for the different rotation values.
|
|
- The main problem was that in order to be accurate all particle
rotations have to be calculated incrementally so the only working
solution is to store rotations to the point cache (previously
this was only done for dynamic rotations). This can nearly double
the point cache size so it's not ideal to have this as a default
as in many cases you don't care about particle rotations.
- Particle rotation panel now has a new "enable" checkbox that
enables rotation calculations and the storing of rotations to
point cache.
- Old files will have rotations enabled via do_versions so that in
the worst case old files will only get bigger point caches, but no
sudden loss of particle rotations.

made some small edits
- removed changes to AVI reading since the data types are apart of the format spec.
- absf -> abs for a double value in render code.

fix for sequencer unique naming which was missed with string length update.
|
|
Point cache interpolation was using too early start frame in cases when target frame was a subframe. This appeared as random ghost particles when rendering particle animation with full sample motion blur enabled.
