2011-02-24patch [#26187] Cleaning #include <malloc.h>Campbell Barton
from Shane Ambler (sambler) didnt include change to superlu, prefer to leave external libs out of cleanups.
2011-02-23doxygen: prevent GPL license block from being parsed as doxygen comment.Nathan Letwory
2011-02-13enforce string limits (reported by pedantic checking tools & some developers).Campbell Barton
mostly replace strcpy with BLI_strncpy and multiple strcat's with a BLI_snprintf(). also fix possible crash if CWD isnt available.
2011-02-12fix for uninitialized value in BLI_path_cwd() if PWD wasn't defined and the ↵Campbell Barton
CWD was longer then 160.
2011-01-11remove misc unused vars and correct theme name for face angles.Campbell Barton
2011-01-07remove references to BKE_utildefines where its not needed.Campbell Barton
- move GS() define into DNA_ID.h - add BLI_utildefines as an automatic include with makesrna generated files.
2010-12-03Enabled GCC -Wwrite-strings warning for CMake and replaced many 'char's for ↵Campbell Barton
'const char's,. Only one functional change where Transform orientations passed "" to BIF_createTransformOrientation() which could then have the value written into.
2010-12-03- added GCC warning -Wstrict-prototypesCampbell Barton
- fixed bug in paste material, exposed by stricter warnings. - removed/renamed various shadowed vars. - removed BGE lamp.colour, only allow lamp.color attribute.
2010-11-16option to write images to a files on single frame renders, this isn't ↵Campbell Barton
accessed by the UI at the moment, but could eventually be used for saving test-renders. The main reason to have this is so renders can be scripted to write to a specific file without having to do annoying tricks like set a dummy start/end frame range, render an animation and work out the current frame image will be written to, then rename after rendering. Also made some 'char *' args into 'const char *'
2010-11-11fix for building, also use const char in more places.Campbell Barton
2010-09-15bugfix [#23405] PNG Images bigger then 2gig wont load with blender.Campbell Barton
all image formats should be able to load files bigger then 2gig (when its supported)
2010-08-12- possibly bugfix /w uninitialized vars [#23270] Long directory name ↵Campbell Barton
segmentation fault in File brower. - in exceptional cases vertcos_to_key() could return with KeyBlock pointing to freed memory. - invalid use of realloc() in BLI_builddir()
2010-07-26[#22846] GCC 4.4.1 support in WindowsSergey Sharybin
In this commit i've fixed crash when opening file browser. This crash was caused by different _stat structures size in storage.c and filelist.c (because of force setting __MSVCRT_VERSION__ in storage.c), other errors from report were fixed earlier. I've used _stati64 strcutrure and functions and tested on official mingw-gcc 3.4.5, official mingw-gcc 4.4.0, tdm-mingw-gcc 4.4.1, cross mingw-gcc 4.4.4 and cross mingw-gcc 4.2.1-sjlj -- everything was ok in this configurations (except openexr and opencollada libraries which requires sjlj compiler, so i was unable to build blender with that libraries by official mingw-gcc 4.4.0)
2010-07-20fix [#22915] Bookmarks and Recent no longer working in r30498Andrea Weikert
fix [#22920] Clicking folder icons doesn't work in File browser and append * issue was that on windows stat requires the trailing slash removed, even with mingw. (since we are after ahoy, putting this into extra #define, code cleanup will follow after release)
2010-07-19- Reverted "Set FREE_WINDOWS when compiling with MinGW"Sergey Sharybin
- Reverted own changes made to _stat function BLI_exists - Use __MINGW32__ instead of FREE_WINDOWS in BLI_exists - Removed recently added lib dependencies for mingw
2010-07-19- Use correct paths for mstoolkit and crossmingw tools in sconscriptSergey Sharybin
- Use _stat64i32 instead of _stat in BLI_exist Needed for correct compilation by mingw, no sense for msvc (_stat is equivalent to _stat64i32 in Visual C++ 2005, and later i suppose) - Added library msvcr90 for mingw to solve linking error to _stat64i32
2010-07-19Fix for #22861 Won't compile for MinGW sicne r30349Nathan Letwory
2010-07-15fix for one of the problems with [#22846] GCC 4.4.1 support in WindowsCampbell Barton
2010-07-15* Use same BLI_exist() on all platforms.Nathan Letwory
* remove extra sys/types.h include.
2010-05-07Merge image related changes from the render branch. This includes the imageBrecht Van Lommel
tile cache code in imbuf, but it is not hooked up to the render engine. Imbuf module: some small refactoring and removing a lot of unused or old code (about 6.5k lines). * Added a ImFileType struct with callbacks to make adding an file format type, or making changes to the API easier. * Move imbuf init/exit code into IMB_init()/IMB_exit() functions. * Increased mipmap levels from 10 to 20, you run into this limit already with a 2k image. * Removed hamx, amiga, anim5 format support. * Removed colormap saving, only simple colormap code now for reading tga. * Removed gen_dynlibtiff.py, editing this is almost as much work as just editing the code directly. * Functions removed that were only used for sequencer plugin API: IMB_anim_nextpic, IMB_clever_double, IMB_antialias, IMB_gamwarp, IMB_scalefieldImBuf, IMB_scalefastfieldImBuf, IMB_onethird, IMB_halflace, IMB_dit0, IMB_dit2, IMB_cspace * Write metadata info into OpenEXR images. Can be viewed with the command line utility 'exrheader' For the image tile cache code, see this page: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:2.5/Source/Imaging/ImageTileCache
2010-03-30* Multiply for panorama camerasBrecht Van Lommel
* Some cases of struct name being set where it shouldnt have been. * Spelling: wich --> which * Copy and initialize uv modifier scale, remove unneeded enum. * Ability to pin any object into the context. * Update uv window while transforming (useful when used with UVProject modifier) * Patch by Wahooney, so new template's are internal text and dont get saved over by mistake. * Fix for https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=572186 Bug 572186 - [abrt] crash in blender-2.49b-5.fc12: Process /usr/bin/blender.bin was killed by signal 6 (SIGABRT). Original fix submitted by Jochen Schmitt. * [#21816] bpy.data.add_image has stopped working on Windows. moved to bpy.data.images.load(), missed this call. 2010-03-20Fix [#21658] file browser "hide invisible" doesn't hide anythingAndrea Weikert
- moved global hide_dot to filelist. - hiding dot files is now included in the filtering of files, which means that for this directory also doesn't have to be read anymore. - reverted changes of rev. 27491 and related changes in rev. 27523 in favor of a more general abstraction for the different 'file browser modes' with respect to filtering.

2010-01-26Drag and drop 2.5 integration! Finally, slashdot regulars can useTon Roosendaal
Blender too now! :) ** Drag works as follows: - drag-able items are defined by the standard interface ui toolkit - each button can get this feature, via uiButSetDragXXX(but, ...). There are calls to define drag-able images, ID blocks, RNA paths, file paths, and so on. By default you drag an icon, exceptionally an ImBuf - Drag items are registered centrally in the WM, it allows more drag items simultaneous too, but not implemented ** Drop works as follows: - On mouse release, and if drag items exist in the WM, it converts the mouse event to an EVT_DROP type. This event then gets the full drag info as customdata - drop regions are defined with WM_dropbox_add(), similar to keymaps you can make a "drop map" this way, which become 'drop map handlers' in the queues. - next to that the UI kit handles some common button types (like accepting ID or names) to be catching a drop event too. - Every "drop box" has two callbacks: - poll() = check if the event drag data is relevant for this box - copy() = fill in custom properties in the dropbox to initialize an operator - The dropbox handler then calls its standard Operator with its dropbox properties. ** Currently implemented Drag items: - ID icons in browse buttons - ID icons in context menu of properties region - ID icons in outliner and rna viewer - FileBrowser icons - FileBrowser preview images Drag-able icons are subtly visualized by making them brighter a bit on mouse-over. In case the icon is a button or UI element too (most cases), the drag-able feature will make the item react to mouse-release instead of mouse-press. Drop options: - UI buttons: ID and text buttons (paste name) - View3d: Object ID drop copies object - View3d: Material ID drop assigns to object under cursor - View3d: Image ID drop assigns to object UV texture under cursor - Sequencer: Path drop will add either Image or Movie strip - Image window: Path drop will open image ** Drag and drop Notes: - Dropping into another Blender window (from same application) works too. I've added code that passes on mousemoves and clicks to other windows, without activating them though. This does make using multi-window Blender a bit friendler. - Dropping a file path to an image, is not the same as dropping an Image ID... keep this in mind. Sequencer for example wants paths to be dropped, textures in 3d window wants an Image ID. - Although drop boxes could be defined via Python, I suggest they're part of the UI and editor design (= how we want an editor to work), and not default offered configurable like keymaps. - At the moment only one item can be dragged at a time. This is for several reasons.... For one, Blender doesn't have a well defined uniform way to define "what is selected" (files, outliner items, etc). Secondly there's potential conflicts on what todo when you drop mixed drag sets on spots. All undefined stuff... nice for later. - Example to bypass the above: a collection of images that form a strip, should be represented in filewindow as a single sequence anyway. This then will fit well and gets handled neatly by design. - Another option to check is to allow multiple options per drop... it could show the operator as a sort of menu, allowing arrow or scrollwheel to choose. For time being I'd prefer to try to design a singular drop though, just offer only one drop action per data type on given spots. - What does work already, but a tad slow, is to use a function that detects an object (type) under cursor, so a drag item's option can be further refined (like drop object on object = parent). (disabled) ** More notes - Added saving for Region layouts (like split points for toolbar) - Label buttons now handle mouse over - File list: added full path entry for drop feature. - Filesel bugfix: wm_operator_exec() got called there and fully handled, while WM event code tried same. Added new OPERATOR_HANDLED flag for this. Maybe python needs it too? - Cocoa: added window move event, so multi-win setups work OK (didnt save). - Interface_handlers.c: removed win->active - Severe area copy bug: area handlers were not set to NULL - Filesel bugfix: next/prev folder list was not copied on area copies ** Leftover todos - Cocoa windows seem to hang on cases still... needs check - Cocoa 'draw overlap' swap doesn't work - Cocoa window loses focus permanently on using Spotlight (for these reasons, makefile building has Carbon as default atm) - ListView templates in UI cannot become dragged yet, needs review... it consists of two overlapping UI elements, preventing handling icon clicks. - There's already Ghost library code to handle dropping from OS into Blender window. I've noticed this code is unfinished for Macs, but seems to be complete for Windows. Needs test... currently, an external drop event will print in console when succesfully delivered to Blender's WM.
2009-12-26fixes for errors/warnings found with cppcheckCampbell Barton
2009-12-13MSVC 9 compile fixes and cleanupsAndrea Weikert
* added renamed files in revision 25337 * renamed BLI_util.h -> BLI_path_util.h for consistency * cleanup of #includes: removed BLI_blenlib.h in favour of direct includes of the needed headerfiles in a few places. * removed debug print in sequencer.c * added missing include in blenkernel/blender.c -> bad dependency, needs to be fixed still
2009-10-19file browserAndrea Weikert
* the code for BLI_is_dir can be shared on Windows, no need of extra implementation - error was usage of BLI_exists instead of BLI_exist! * left BLI_is_dir in since it's nicer to read and understand * also removed deprecated outliner_header from MSVC projectfiles.
2009-10-16new utility function for BLI_storage.h - BLI_is_dirCampbell Barton
currently unsupported on windows. should fix this too [#19656] N-Panel in filebrowser not working though typing in invalid names then becomes possible
2009-09-06* cleaning up warnings (mostly windows). A collection of other warning fixes ↵Nathan Letwory
too (undefined function, assuming int, etc.) This compiled fine with scons/msvc and scons/mingw (gcc 4.4.0). Please test and report any problems.
2009-09-04* remove mtio.h - no magnetic tape support has been coded. Helps compilation ↵Nathan Letwory
on osx10.6.
2009-08-14some fixes for netbsd with cmakeCampbell Barton
- CMake, use FIND_PACKAGE(Freetype) for unix/linux - Only link with libdl.so on linux - use statvfs rather then statfs for netbsd (size of statfs wasnt available) - add x11 include path with ghost, glu.
2009-07-282.5: File browserBrecht Van Lommel
* Side panels now use list widgets. * Enabled theme colors for side panel. * Add button in bookmarks panel. * Operator panel title now uses operator name. * For unix, added / to system, and home and desktop to bookmarks. * For opening fileselect with filter, cleaned up the code a bit, adding WM_operator_properties_filesel instead of duplicating code. * Also added filter for all operators calling fileselect, only image and file open did it before. * Hide . files by default, and also hide files ending with ~. * Added back .. (but not .) in the file list, I really missed this. * File highlight now only happens when you're actually over a file, instead staying after you move the mouse away. * Fix some redraw/refresh issues.
2009-07-262.5 file browserAndrea Weikert
* enable large file size for WIN64 too.
2009-07-262.5 filebrowserAndrea Weikert
Bugfixes: * crash when loading file that has filebrowser open * file size over 2GB/4GB? shows negative number Other: * tried to improve drawing speed a bit by only drawing the files actually shown and improving refresh behaviour a bit. Note: Solution I found so far is to use the non-standard _stat64, as far as I could see, WIN64 should work without that patch (Genscher, please check and if needed you can enable this too by removing the !defined(WIN64) ) This probably needs to be fixed in at least one other place (BLI_filesize), will look into this once this fix proves stable enough)
2009-07-092.5Ton Roosendaal
Monthly cleaning round to make it compile warning free. Mostly it was const stuff (strings, Context), but also a couple useful fixes, like wrong use of temp pointers. Only Mathutils callback struct I left alone... design issue.
2009-06-302.5 file browserAndrea Weikert
* remove '.' and '..' from file browser list. sigh! * removed delete buttons from automatically added bookmarks (Desktop and Documents) Note: please check on non-Windows platforms
2009-06-21Spring CleaningCampbell Barton
* removed radiosity render code, DNA and RNA (left in radio render pass options), we'll get GI to replace this probably, better allow baking to vertex colors for people who used this. * removed deprecated solid physics library, sumo integrations and qhull, a dependency * removed ODE, was no longer being build or supported * remove BEOS and AMIGA defines and references in Makefiles.
2009-06-092.50:Brecht Van Lommel
svn merge https://svn.blender.org/svnroot/bf-blender/trunk/blender -r19820:HEAD Notes: * Game and sequencer RNA, and sequencer header are now out of date a bit after changes in trunk. * I didn't know how to port these bugfixes, most likely they are not needed anymore. * Fix "duplicate strip" always increase the user count for ipo. * IPO pinning on sequencer strips was lost during Undo.
2009-03-182.50: some warning fixes.Brecht Van Lommel
2009-03-142.5 filebrowserAndrea Weikert
* added filter buttons to header * changed large icon for movie files to match small icon * fixed small stack corruption in interface_draw.c (Matt, check if this is ok) * moved nice display of file size to storage.c, where string is created.
2009-03-122.5 filebrowser WIP commitAndrea Weikert
- cleaned up warnings (mostly unneeded variables) - new icons for filebrowser (large refresh and parent icons missing though) - fixed error in large icon drawing due to texture coordinates calculated outside subpart of texture. - removed library loading stuff from filelist

2008-11-25 * fix path to openexr on irixStefan Gartner
* added missing define in storage.c
2008-11-24patch #8583: Add support for gcc on irixStefan Gartner
to compile blender with gcc on IRIX, IRIX_USE_GCC needs to be set to true in user-def.mk. Other changes related to irix: * compile solid from extern/ * don't build plugins (yet) with "make release" when using gcc (the shell script used assumes MIPSpro is installed) * use statvfs instead of statfs on irix, like done on solaris * use external libs from $(LCGDIR) instead of /usr/freeware * use glew header files from $(LCGDIR)/glew instead of the ones installed on the system (this applies to other platforms as well) * ffmpeg support currently is disabled on irix
