Brecht authored this commit, but he gave me the honours to actually
do it. Here it goes; Blender Internal. Bye bye, you did great!
* Point density, voxel data, ocean, environment map textures were removed,
as these only worked within BI rendering. Note that the ocean modifier
and the Cycles point density shader node continue to work.
* Dynamic paint using material shading was removed, as this only worked
with BI. If we ever wanted to support this again probably it should go
through the baking API.
* GPU shader export through the Python API was removed. This only worked
for the old BI GLSL shaders, which no longer exists. Doing something
similar for Eevee would be significantly more complicated because it
uses a lot of multiplass rendering and logic outside the shader, it's
probably impractical.
* Collada material import / export code is mostly gone, as it only worked
for BI materials. We need to add Cycles / Eevee material support at some
point.
* The mesh noise operator was removed since it only worked with BI
material texture slots. A displacement modifier can be used instead.
* The delete texture paint slot operator was removed since it only worked
for BI material texture slots. Could be added back with node support.
* Not all legacy viewport features are supported in the new viewport, but
their code was removed. If we need to bring anything back we can look at
older git revisions.
* There is some legacy viewport code that I could not remove yet, and some
that I probably missed.
* Shader node execution code was left mostly intact, even though it is not
used anywhere now. We may eventually use this to replace the texture
nodes with Cycles / Eevee shader nodes.
* The Cycles Bake panel now includes settings for baking multires normal
and displacement maps. The underlying code needs to be merged properly,
and we plan to add back support for multires AO baking and add support
to Cycles baking for features like vertex color, displacement, and other
missing baking features.
* This commit removes DNA and the Python API for BI material, lamp, world
and scene settings. This breaks a lot of addons.
* There is more DNA that can be removed or renamed, where Cycles or Eevee
are reusing some old BI properties but the names are not really correct
anymore.
* Texture slots for materials, lamps and world were removed. They remain
for brushes, particles and freestyle linestyles.
* 'BLENDER_RENDER' remains in the COMPAT_ENGINES of UI panels. Cycles and
other renderers use this to find all panels to show, minus a few panels
that they have their own replacement for.

This adds initial multi-object editing support.
- Selected objects are used when entering edit & pose modes.
- Selection & tools work on all objects however many tools need porting
See: T54641 for remaining tasks.
Indentation will be done separately.
See patch: D3101
|
|
This caused too many problems syncing object modes
with multiple objects/windows/workspaces, see: D3130 for details.

The RenderResult struct still has a listbase of RenderLayer, but that's ok
since this is strictly for rendering.
* Subversion bump (to 2.80.2)
* DNA low level doversion (renames) - only for .blend created since 2.80 started
Note: We can't use DNA_struct_elem_find or get file version in init_structDNA,
so we are manually iterating over the array of the SDNA elements instead.
Note 2: This doversion change with renames can be reverted in a few months. But
so far it's required for 2.8 files created between October 2016 and now.

UV project mixed up global/local space,
3D cursor offset didn't take object scale into account.
Minor improvements:
- Match Cube Project 'center' behavior w/ sphere & cylinder.
- Add active-element center.
- Wrap UV's in Cube Project based on center instead of first vertex.
|
|
This isn't advanced, just adding to get custom
manipulator branch from being too much out of sync with 2.8.
|
|
- Derived-mesh drawing.
- All non UV members of TexFace structs.
MTexPoly is now redundant but keeping with a dummy member,
will check on complete removal later.
|
|
TexFace complicates the now more popular shading pipeline by having
per-face images, see: T51382 for details.
To keep the ability to select a per-material edit-image
(used with UV-mapping workflow), the material now stores an image
which will be set when changing images in edit-mode.
This is used as a bake-target when not using Cycles too.

Including bring back UV Edit show other objects
|
|
|
|
Can be considered TODO but it's not bad to support either. Also added
RNA api to get aspect ratio of assigned UV image - returns aspect
corrected image dimensions so needs adjustments for uv editing.
|
|
|
|
Add simple uvs now does a cube unwrap and pack operation. Result is not
optimal by far but it should not result in crashes and it will be quite
usable for simple cases.
|
|
If the active image node contributes to the final material shader
(meaning it's either directly or indirectly connected to an Output Node)
the user will receive an alert about circular dependency.
Similar to what we do for Blender internal the baking will still happen,
but the user will receive the alert which should prevent the image
saving to happen if the result was not intentional.

also remove CDDM_Check, theres no need for it.
|

Currently only circle and square, might be easily
extended in the future.
New primitives are creating at cursor location.
This also implied adding 2d cursor to space clip.
Also fix set 2D cursor location which didn't work
in image editor's mask mode since 2.67.
TODO: draw_image_cursor better be moved to some
more generic file, but it's not so much
important for now and might be solved later.
Thanks Campbell for the review!

also add uvedit_face_select_set, uvedit_edge_select_set, uvedit_uv_select_set - since quite a few areas where setting based on a boolean.
|
|
rewrite to use only 2.
also use generic, reusable functions for selection flushing so each operator doesn't need to implement its own.
and merge more-less operation into the same function, just call the selection flush function with select/deselect arg.
|
|
|
|
- replace inline face UV center calc.
- use const float[3] for mesh and uv functions.
- remove unused define
|
|
|
|
- selecting in UV window with sync-sel enabled now sets/validates sel-history.
- border de-select now clears sel history.
|
|
|
|
added some missing functions too - which are not used yep but should be there for api completeness.
* CDDM_set_mloop
* CDDM_set_mpoly
* BLI_mempool_count
|
|
* made bmesh_structure.h function names more consistant.
* remove unused code in bmesh_structure.c
* removed 'Edge Flip' operator (missing from bmesh but looked into trunk feature and dont think its worth keeping).
* tagged some BMESH_TODO's

without the underscores these clogged up the namespace for autocompleation which was annoying.

Documentation: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/User:Psy-Fi/UV_Tools
Major features include:
*16 bit image support in viewport
*Subsurf aware unwrapping
*Smart Stitch(snap/rotate islands, preview, middlepoint/endpoint stitching)
*Seams from islands tool (marks seams and sharp, depending on settings)
*Uv Sculpting(Grab/Pinch/Rotate)
All tools are complete apart from stitching that is considered stable but with an extra edge mode under development(will be in soc-2011-onion-uv-tools).

effect for a render engine using new shading nodes. In short:
* No longer uses images assigned to faces in the uv layer, rather the active
image texture node is what is edited/painted/drawn.
* Textured draw type now shows the active image texture node, with solid
lighting.
* Material draw mode shows GLSL shader of a simplified material node tree,
using solid lighting.
* Textures for modifiers, brushes, etc, are now available from a dropdown in
the texture tab in the properties editor. These do not use new shading nodes
yet.

Option for tagging creases (Ctrl+RMB) to also re-unwrap the mesh.
In 2.42 this could be done by setting rt==8 (very hidden), now its a little less hidden (in the toolbar).
