3D shaders work in both 2D and 3D viewports.
This shader is a good candidate to be exposed in Python.
|
|
Same as D12194, name "mips" conflicts on such systems.
|
|
This means textures need to have the number of mipmap levels specified
upfront. It does not mean the data is immutable.
There is fallback code for OpenGL < 4.2.
Immutable storage will enables texture views in the future.

Use a shorter/simpler license convention, stops the header taking so
much space.
Follow the SPDX license specification: https://spdx.org/licenses
- C/C++/objc/objc++
- Python
- Shell Scripts
- CMake, GNUmakefile
While most of the source tree has been included
- `./extern/` was left out.
- `./intern/cycles` & `./intern/atomic` are also excluded because they
use different header conventions.
doc/license/SPDX-license-identifiers.txt has been added to list SPDX all
used identifiers.

Followup to the previous commit. Jeroen and I agreed the old naming was
confusing.
|
|
Use GPU-side scaling to speed up the scaling itself, and to avoid having
to copy the image buffer using the CPU. Mipmapping is used to get decent
filtering when downscaling without ugly artifacts.
In my comparisons, there was barely any difference between the methods
for DPIs >= 1. Below that, the result looks a bit different due to the
different filtering method.
See D13144 for screen-recordings showing the difference.

This is to modernize the API:
- Add meaningful name to all textures (except DRW textures).
- Remove unused err_out argument: only used for offscreen python.
- Add mipmap count to creation functions for future changes.
- Clarify the data usage in creation functions.
This is a cleanup commit, there is no functional change.

Also go back to default value of 0 after usage.

This also cleanup the code for readability.

And move it to GPU module.

This addresses warnings from Clang-Tidy's `readability-else-after-return`

This was a regression from 2.79. The zoffset was doubled for some reason.

This adds a new "Automatic" image display method which uses GLSL shaders for
most images. It only does CPU side color management for higher res images
where sending big float buffers to the GPU is likely to be a bottleneck or
cause memory usage problem.
Automatic is the default now, previously it was 2D Texture.

This kind of abstracts OpenGL details, and this is what is used in
other areas as well.

Was mainly visible with high-res image. Not entirely clear why it is
only happening on macOS. While the entire function should be re-written
to make float images displayed faster, still nice to fix the drawing.

- Add manual depth offset to vertices and edges.
- Revert to plain edge decoration.
- Fix active edge coloring.
- Remove active face display if not in face selection mode.
- Add wide line support.

It's more useful to git-blame to find out who has developed the code.

This is in order to make the API more multithread friendly inside the
draw manager.
GPU_shader_get_uniform will only serve to query the shader interface and
not do any GL call, making it threadsafe.
For now it only print a warning if the uniform was not queried before.

- immAttrib* -> immAttr*
- immSkipAttrib -> immAttrSkip
Term 'attr' is a convention for GPU module.
