We already show a message when showing an asset library whose path can't be found on disk. The red text was making it look like some fatal error happened. And the message could be a bit more useful generally. So this removes the red color of the text, (arguably) improves the text and adds a button as shortcut to open the Preferences with the asset library settings. Renames the operator from "Show Preferences" to "Open Preferences...". "Open" is more clear than "Show" (since they could be shown in-place). "..." is usually used in Blender to indicate that a new Window or popup will be opened. Note that vanilla Blender doesn't actually show this name anywhere, so this change shouldn't be visible. That may change, see D12894.

Change data structure of keylists. This linked list is accompanied with the length (key_len) and a `last_accessed_column`. last_accessed_column is a cursor that improve the performance when adding new items as they are mostly ordered by frame numbers. last_accessed_column is reset when a new fcurve/mask/... is added to the keylist. Before searching or array access. the listbase needs to be converted to an array. `ED_keylist_prepare_for_direct_access`. After that the caller can use `ED_keylist_find_*` or `ED_keylist_array*` functions. The internal array can also be accessed via the `ED_keylist_listbase` function. Caused by {rBbbb2e0614fc3} Since above commit only the playhead is updated as an overlay in animation playback (was moved out of drawing of the main region for perfomance reasons). The driver value "debug" visualization is very useful to have during playback though but was left in main region drawing as part of `draw_fcurve` (thus does not update in realtime anymore). Moving `graph_draw_driver_debug` into the overlay is not feasible because it requires animation filtering which has significant overhead which needs to be avoided in the overlay which is redrawn on every UI interaction. Now tag the whole main region for updates in the Driver Editor during playback instead (which will make the Drivers Editor as slow during playback as before rBbbb2e0614fc3 -- but with realtime updates of the debug visualization). Originally the operator name was drawn next to the dragging content. After that there was an option to add custom, static text with the dragging content. This patch allows dynamic text to be drawn. The custom text was implemented as out parameter of the poll function what made the code unclear. This patch introduces a tooltip function that separates tooltip generation from the poll function. NOTE: the text should always be returned in its own memory block. This block will be freed after it is copied in the drag struct. This patch adds support for filtering rows based on rules and values. Filters will work for any attribute data source, they are a property of the spreadsheet rather than of the attribute system. The properties displayed in the row filter can depend on data type of the currently visible column with that name. If the name is no longer visible, the row filter filter is grayed out, but it will remember the value until a column with its name is visible again. Note: The comments in `screen.c` combined with tagging the sidebar for redraw after the main region point to a lack of understanding or technical debt, that is a point to improve in the future. **Future Improvements** * T89272: A search menu for visible columns when adding a new filter. * T89273: Possibly a "Range" operation. This patch makes the "Render" window a top-level window, not a child of the main window, which was the case in blender versions prior to 2.93. This means it is no longer "on top", nor is the icon grouped on the taskbar in the same way, but you can Alt-Tab between it and the main window. This change only affects the Windows platform as the other platforms behave this way. See D11576 for links to negative feedback that prompts this change. When using large sequences including audio the drawing of the audio on top of the strip takes a lot of time. This effects the playback performance heavily. During the animation playback performance there was a solution for this by only drawing the playhead overlay. This was reverted for the sequence editor as it didn't update the color strips when they were animated. This patch checks if there are animated color strips if so the full screen is redrawn, otherwise only the playhead is redrawn. The RGN_TYPE_EXECUTE region was zero height - with the "Load & Save" button drawing outside of those bounds - so it didn't respond to events. This is because the region started off this size and does not change with simply adding the buttons. Although it has RGN_FLAG_DYNAMIC_SIZE, delayed reinit of regions is only currently supported on headers. This gives the execute region an initial (minimum) vertical size but also makes the region **hidden** by default. - Showing Prefs as an editor among others it will show the header but not the execute region. - Showing the Prefs in a popup window, hides the header region and shows the execute region. 2021-02-16Assets: Remove appended asset when dropping operation failsJulian Eisel
When dropping an asset somewhere, it is appended and then a drop operation is called to actually add it to the scene based on current context. If this drop operation fails, the appended data-block is now still in the .blend. The user may not notice and not expect this. Instead idea is to rollback any changes done by dropping code if the operation fails, namely removing the appended data-block again. Adds a new `cancel()` callback which is called if the drop operator returns `OPERATOR_CANCELLED` to drop-boxes and a generic function to deal with assets on drop failure. Also removes the `free_id_on_error` property of the `NODE_OT_add_group` operator, which was used as ad-hoc solution to get this same behavior.
