This translates the gl calls to the new GPU_ wrappers from D3501.
Given it's tedious and repetitive work, this patch does as much as it can with search + replace, the remainder of the gl calls will need to be manually dealt with on a case by case basis.
This fixes 13 of the 28 failing editors when building without opengl.
For the list of substitutions see D3502

DM was only using it for color sampling in the 3Dview. Now it's properly
using COW evaluated versions of object and mesh instead.

Folders removed entirely:
* //extern/recastnavigation
* //intern/decklink
* //intern/moto
* //source/blender/editors/space_logic
* //source/blenderplayer
* //source/gameengine
This includes DNA data and any reference to the BGE code in Blender itself.
We are bumping the subversion.
Pending tasks:
* Tile/clamp code in image editor draw code.
* Viewport drawing code (so much of this will go away because of BI removal
that we can wait until then to remove this.

The depsgraph was always created within a fixed evaluation context. Passing
both risks the depsgraph and evaluation context not matching, and it
complicates the Python API where we'd have to expose both which is not so
easy to understand.
This also removes the global evaluation context in main, which assumed there
to be a single active scene and view layer.

This caused too many problems syncing object modes
with multiple objects/windows/workspaces, see: D3130 for details.
|
|
|
|
Use common prefix so adding related functions share the prefix.
|
|
- Read-only access can often use EvaluationContext.object_mode
- Write access to go to WorkSpace.object_mode.
- Some TODO's remain (marked as "TODO/OBMODE")
- Add-ons will need updating
(context.active_object.mode -> context.workspace.object_mode)
- There will be small/medium issues that still need resolving
this does work on a basic level though.

Also correct typo in enum name

The RenderResult struct still has a listbase of RenderLayer, but that's ok
since this is strictly for rendering.
* Subversion bump (to 2.80.2)
* DNA low level doversion (renames) - only for .blend created since 2.80 started
Note: We can't use DNA_struct_elem_find or get file version in init_structDNA,
so we are manually iterating over the array of the SDNA elements instead.
Note 2: This doversion change with renames can be reverted in a few months. But
so far it's required for 2.8 files created between October 2016 and now.

Practically all access to enum data is read-only.
|

Convention was only followed loosely,
apply to DNA where changes aren't likely to conflict.
(Skipped ModifierType for eg).

In preparation for modal operators storing their properties,
no need to keep mouse-paths around.
Also use generic function for lasso properties.
|
|
|
|
Also use 'const' for brush.
|
|
Avoids requiring glew headers in Python API.
|
|
2.8x branch added bContext arg in many places,
pass eval-context instead since its not simple to reason about what
what nested functions do when they can access and change almost anything.
Also use const to prevent unexpected modifications.
This fixes crash loading files with shadows,
since off-screen buffers use a NULL context for rendering.

We do have an history of those pieces of evil in our code, would be nice
to get fully rid of it, but at the very least let's not add more of them
in new code. :)
|
|
Note that some little parts of code have been dissabled because eval_ctx
was not available there. This should be resolved once DerivedMesh is
replaced.

GCC seems to detect uninitialized into function calls now, but then isn't
always smart enough to see that it is actually initialized. Disabling this
warning entirely seems a bit too much, so initialize a bit more now.

See GPU_matrix.h & gpu_matrix.c for the important changes. Other files are mostly just updated to use the latest API.
- remove unused functions, defines, enums, comments
- remove "3D" from function names
- init to Identity transform (otherwise empty stack)
- gpuMatrixReset lets outside code return to initial state

Weight painting is still wrong, but it doesn't crash any more.

Pretty sure source/blender is now finished, with all legacy matrix calls confined to gpu_matrix.c.
This was the easy part, but doing it first makes the next part much easier. TODO and XXX notes describe what is left.
glMatrixMode is still in place, since the new API does not share this concept of modes. Similar for glOrtho and glFrustum which I'll tackle very soon.

There are now only referenced in:
* drawobject.c
* particle_edit.c
* space_image.c (a single case to be handled on workspace branch)
* rigidbody_constraint.c (to be handled in the following commit)

The issue was caused by some code accessing R from a functions which
are marked as safe for use from outside of render pipeline.
Now those functions are safe(er) for use.
|
|
This allows for dragging out shapes that rotate to follow the cursor motion.
Values over 1 can be set for 'interesting' artistic effects.

- Add blentranslation `BLT_*` module.
- moved & split `BLF_translation.h` into (`BLT_translation.h`, `BLT_lang.h`).
- moved `BLF_*_unifont` functions from `blf_translation.c` to new source file `blf_font_i18n.c`.

when mipmap is off.
We used to always have nearest interpolation for texpaint but at least
make this work with mipmap off correctly.
Also added conversion casts to avoid integer overflow in filtering code

The issue was caused by the conflict between preview render which would set
R_NO_IMAGE_LOAD flag on the renderer and texture samplers called outside of
the render pipeline trying to use this flag.
Now the sampler functions accepts extra argument so render pipeline can
still skip image load, but calls outside of the pipeline will nicely load
all the images.
Not cleanest change in the world but good enough to unlock gooseberry team,
and assuming we already had pool passed all over the place it should be all
fine.
Will need to reshuffle arguments into SamplerOptions structure later.
