2018-07-08Cleanup: abbreviate unsigned types (editors, wm)Campbell Barton
2018-07-06Further tweaks to drawing of non-selected graph editor keyframesJoshua Leung
The previous commit only solves the problem when using the default theme using factory settings. For previously saved themes, there could still be problems, as the alpha values were still 0. This commit improves the logic here so that while keyframe points on unselected F-Curves will still get faded out (to not stick out too much from the curves they live on), but the effect will not be as pronounced (i.e. the points will stay visible all the time).
2018-07-02Cleanup: use _f, _i suffix for GPU state APICampbell Barton
2018-07-01Cleanup: use '_len' suffix for line stippleCampbell Barton
2018-06-28GLRefactor: partially remove gl calls from source/blender/editors.Ray Molenkamp
This translates the gl calls to the new GPU_ wrappers from D3501. Given it's tedious and repetitive work, this patch does as much as it can with search + replace, the remainder of the gl calls will need to be manually dealt with on a case by case basis. This fixes 13 of the 28 failing editors when building without opengl. For the list of substitutions see D3502 Reviewers: brecht Differential Revision: https://developer.blender.org/D3502
2018-06-04Merge branch 'master' into blender2.8Campbell Barton
2018-06-04Cleanup: strip trailing space in editorsCampbell Barton
2018-06-01Merge branch 'master' into blender2.8Campbell Barton
2018-06-01Cleanup: trailing whitespace (comment blocks)Campbell Barton
Strip unindented comment blocks - mainly headers to avoid conflicts.
2018-04-06UI: Perf: Optimize F-curve handles drawing.Clément Foucault
50% less time in my test when all handles are selected.
2018-02-14GPU: use alpha blend that works for drawing to transparent buffer.Brecht Van Lommel
It's unlikely to ever be intentional to square the source alpha, as happens with glBlendFunc, so this changes the blending throughout the code.
2017-08-11GraphEdit Drawing: Make active F-Curve slightly thickerJoshua Leung
2017-08-11GraphEdit Keyframe Drawing: Tweak styling of handlesJoshua Leung
* Reduce interior fill opacity - These should *not* be shaded * Adjust thickness of lines to match the old chunkiness more
2017-08-02GraphEdit Handle Drawing: Fix handle-vertex size regression (2.7 -> 2.8)Joshua Leung
Keyframe handle vertices (the circles on the ends of the handles) should always be larger than the central vertex. This brings back the "outer" radius value from the old gluDisk(), and doubles it to get the necessary diameter, to scale it properly. TODO's: - Get rid of all fills inside these circles - Make the central vertex square-shaped again
2017-07-13Cleanup/rename etc. dashed line shaders.Bastien Montagne
Goal is to make them more modular, to allow more variants (variable single-color, thickness, ...) to be added without having to copy-and-change-one-line of whole chain of shaders.
2017-06-19Gawain API naming refactorCampbell Barton
Use consistent prefix for gawain API names as well as some abbreviations to avoid over-long names, see: D2678
2017-05-01Getting rid of setlinestyle: FCurves drawing.Bastien Montagne
2017-04-16cleanup use of immUniformColorMike Erwin
- use best function for the job - don't specify alpha if 100% - 'f' for floating point literals
2017-04-07OpenGL: use PRIM instead of GL enum for immBeginMike Erwin
Getting ready for a Gawain API change... Part of T49043
2017-04-06Gawain: VertexFormat_add_attrib (function name change)Mike Erwin
See intern/gawain for the API change. Other files are updated to use the new name. Also updated every call site to the recommended style: unsigned int foo = VertexFormat_add_attrib(format, "foo", COMP_ ... )
2017-04-05revert recent cleanup, keep useful changesMike Erwin
Don't want to annoy module owner. What is kept: - UI_view2d_scale_get with unused y scale - corrected comment - unsigned --> unsigned int
2017-04-04cleanupMike Erwin
I started cleaning up UI_view2d_scale_get where the y scale was unused, then got carried away... - for loop scope - declare variables closer to where they are used - move early exits closer to function start - unsigned --> unsigned int
2017-03-21OpenGL: convert to new matrix API (part 2 of x)Mike Erwin
Part of T49450 For this batch I focused on usage of gpuMatrixUpdate_legacy.
2017-03-09OpenGL immediate mode: graph_draw.cLuca Rood
This also fixes a little bug, which caused `draw_fcurve_samples` to never be called, and thus sampled curve range boundaries were not drawn. Part of T49043
2017-02-28OpenGL: no more display listsMike Erwin
Part of the OpenGL core profile upgrade (T49165) Use the Batch drawing API (GPU_batch.h) when you want do draw something multiple times.
2017-02-28rename built-in point shaders, SMOOTH --> AAMike Erwin
Updated shader names and code that uses them. All of these shaders produce round points that are anti-aliased and blended against the background. These were initially named SMOOTH because they replace glEnable(GL_POINT_SMOOTH). But SMOOTH in shader-land refers to vertex attribute interpolation (like glShadeModel(GL_SMOOTH)). Using SMOOTH to mean two things is confusing, so we now use AA to mean "the point is anti-aliased".
2016-10-13Fix for crash on dopesheet drawing with immediate mode (rB7a552612c)Dalai Felinto
2016-10-08OpenGL: draw f-curve points and handles with new imm modeMike Erwin
Got rid of GLU and some matrix manipulation. Everything is shader driven now, drawn with point sprites. Still plenty to do in this file... Part of T49042 and T49043
2016-09-16Fix vertical scrollbar adding to region width in graph editorJulian Eisel
Had to calculate draw region width based on region size excluding scrollbars.
2016-07-16Cleanup: spellingCampbell Barton
2016-07-07Dopesheet: Keyframe size can be adjusted as part of theme settingsJoshua Leung
This commit introduces a scale factor setting for scaling all keyframe indicators in the Dopesheet Editor up/down, in order to make them easier to select. It is perhaps most useful for keyframe types which are usually indicated using smaller keyframes (e.g. breakdown), which may get tricky to quickly select.
2016-01-25A few urgent glLineWidth fixes for anim editorsJoshua Leung
This fixes some of the issues noted by venomgfx that were caused by Se25ba162c0b62b19cf367f0f29e29d0c0960978d Specifically, this commit fixes: * Timeline: Keyframe lines * Graph Editor: Curves and Handles
2016-01-23OpenGL: call glLineWidth less oftenMike Erwin
Each LINES draw call is now responsible for its own line width. No need to set it back to its 1.0 default after every draw. This eliminates half our calls to glLineWidth , similar to last week’s work on glPointSize.
2016-01-16OpenGL: fixes related to GL_POINTSMike Erwin
I put all usage of GL_POINTS under the microscope. Fixed problems & optimized a couple of spots. - reduce calls to glPointSize by about 50% - draw selected & unselected vertices together for UV editor & EditMesh - draw initial gpencil stroke point the proper size - a few other smaller fixes New policy: each GL_POINTS draw call needs to set its desired point size. This eliminates half our calls to glPointSize (setting it back to its 1.0 default after every draw).
2016-01-08OpenGL: remove glPointSize hackMike Erwin
2015-11-28Cleanup: 'area' vs 'region'Julian Eisel
Apparently this is the result of some sloppiness during 2.5 project and since then it confused people who were trying to understand the area-region relation (myself included). Sorry if this causes merge conflicts for anyone, but at some point we really had to do it :/
2015-07-09Curve selection, de-duplicate & cleanupCampbell Barton
2015-04-13Graph editor:Antony Riakiotakis
Normalization feature now uses the full range of the data instead of just one semiaxis for the maximum size.
2015-04-03Fix: Drawing glitch when renaming animation channelsJoshua Leung
When renaming animation channels, the old names are no longer drawn behind the text boxes anymore. This used to cause problems if the names were long, or if text boxes were set to have transparent backgrounds. Thanks to kopias for reporting on IRC.
2015-03-14Cleanup: styleCampbell Barton
2015-01-31Compiler warning: double-promotionCampbell Barton
2014-11-16Fix T40372: Slow Graph Editor drawingJoshua Leung
For FCurves where all the keyframes use the "simple" interpolation types (i.e. Constant, Linear, and Bezier), we now use the old FCurve drawing code that was used prior to the Easing Equations changes. This should be generally faster in general.
2014-11-16[T40792] Optimisations for FCurve Drawing - Lower sampling precision when ↵Joshua Leung
"High Quality" drawing disabled When the "High Quality Line Drawing" option (View menu) is disabled, the sampling rate (i.e. the size of timesteps to use when sampling the FCurve for drawing it in most cases now) is set to be quite low (i.e. at 0.1 frame increments). This amounts to at most 10 sub-steps. In one test file (with a wide window), this had the effect of improving the performance by over 3x. It's still not as good as a sampling-free approach, but for this functionality is still needed for FModifiers, so it's better that we can optimise this.
2014-11-16Code cleanup - Typos and separating out assignment from for-loop headerJoshua Leung
2014-11-11UI Refactor T41640Campbell Barton
Make the UI API more consistent and reduce confusion with some naming. mainly: - API function calls - enum values some internal static functions have been left for now
2014-07-01Fix T40895: Curves panel, zooming out a lot crashes BlenderSergey Sharybin
2014-05-18Fix T40201: Keyframe edits fail to update the viewportCampbell Barton
2014-05-01Code cleanup: remove file handling headers where they arent neededCampbell Barton
2014-04-30Code cleanup: remove unused includesCampbell Barton
Opted to keep includes if they are used indirectly (even if removing is possible).
2014-04-26Code cleanup: use 'const' for arrays (editors)Campbell Barton
