2021-12-08Cleanup: move public doc-strings into headers for 'editors'Campbell Barton
Ref T92709
2020-08-07Code Style: use "#pragma once" in source directoryJacques Lucke
This replaces header include guards with `#pragma once`. A couple of include guards are not removed yet (e.g. `__RNA_TYPES_H__`), because they are used in other places. This patch has been generated by P1561 followed by `make format`. Differential Revision: https://developer.blender.org/D8466
2020-03-06Cleanup: Rename ARegion variables from ar to regionJulian Eisel
The old convention was easy to confuse with ScrArea. Part of https://developer.blender.org/T74432. This is mostly a batch rename with some manual fixing. Only single word variable names are changed, no prefixed/suffixed names. Brecht van Lommel and Campbell Barton both gave me a green light for this convention change. Also ran clan clang format on affected files.
2019-04-18Cleanup: unused region init functionsCampbell Barton
2019-04-18UI: move region toggling to propertiesCampbell Barton
Each space had separate operators, duplicating logic. Use RNA properties instead so adding the ability to toggle other region types (floating redo region for eg) doesn't need to have an extra operator per space type. It's also nicer to show a check-box for something which can be toggled.
2019-04-17ClangFormat: apply to source, most of internCampbell Barton
Apply clang format as proposed in T53211. For details on usage and instructions for migrating branches without conflicts, see: https://wiki.blender.org/wiki/Tools/ClangFormat
2019-02-18doxygen: add newline after \fileCampbell Barton
While \file doesn't need an argument, it can't have another doxy command after it.
2019-02-06Cleanup: remove redundant doxygen \file argumentCampbell Barton
Move \ingroup onto same line to be more compact and make it clear the file is in the group.
2019-02-03Cleanup: trailing commasCampbell Barton
Needed for clan-format not to wrap onto one line.
2019-02-01Cleanup: remove redundant, invalid info from headersCampbell Barton
BF-admins agree to remove header information that isn't useful, to reduce noise. - BEGIN/END license blocks Developers should add non license comments as separate comment blocks. No need for separator text. - Contributors This is often invalid, outdated or misleading especially when splitting files. It's more useful to git-blame to find out who has developed the code. See P901 for script to perform these edits.

2018-07-03Keymap: Select/De-Select support for anim-editorsCampbell Barton
Also update menu items, adding select/de-select.
2018-07-02Cleanup: use bool for poll functionsCampbell Barton
2018-06-29Cleanup: trailing newlinesCampbell Barton
2018-06-01Cleanup: trailing whitespace (comment blocks)Campbell Barton
Strip unindented comment blocks - mainly headers to avoid conflicts.
2016-04-16Anim Editors: "View Frame" Operator - Code Cleanups/Reshuffling + ↵Joshua Leung
NLA/Timeline Support * Reshuffled code for existing "View Frame" implementations, and removed leftover comment from some of the the copy-and-paste used to build it. * Added support for this operator in the NLA and Timeline
2015-04-14NLA: Shift-Tab toggles tweakmode AND makes that track soloJoshua Leung
To help make it more convenient to edit stashed actions, Shift-Tab (i.e. holding down the Shift key, which "tabbing" into tweakmode as usual to edit the action referenced by the active NLA strip) now flags the NLA Track that the strip occupies as being "solo" too. This allows you to use the NLA to select a stashed action, then Shift-Tab to start editing it without any other actions in the NLA stack interfering. Like the "Next/Previous Layer" tools in the Action Editor, this is designed to help with checking on stashed actions.
2015-04-04WIP: Added dedicated operator for unlinking actions from the Action Editor ↵Joshua Leung
(NLA buttons support to come) After looking into this more carefully, I've found that we do in fact need a dedicate operator to add some custom logic when trying to unlink an action from the editor/datablocks. Specifically, this new operator does the following: 1) When in Tweak Mode, it shouldn't be possible to unlink the active action, or else, everything turns to custard. 2) If the Action doesn't have any other users, the user should at least get a warning that it is going to get lost. 3) We need a convenient way to exit Tweak Mode from the Action Editor 4) If none of the above apply, we can just unlink normally This commit implements this for the Action Editor, with stubs for the NLA Editor too. Those will be fixed next.

2014-05-05NLA Pushdown Operator: Active animdata option + More error handlingJoshua Leung
* If channel_index = -1, the pushdown operator will try to use the active AnimData block. To see which one this will be, check the properties (NKEY) region in NLA Editor. * Added more detailed error handling for the various cases where things are not in a valid state for pushing down an action. This is notably to stop scripters from putting the NLA into an inconsistent state.
2014-05-05NLA Editor: Added dedicated operator for the pushdown operationJoshua Leung
2014-04-28NLA Editor: Make Single User for NLA StripsJoshua Leung
This operator is used to make sure that if/when you have multiple strips using the same action, if you select these and run this operator, each strip will be given its own copy of the action. This is useful if you decide later that you want to start using an existing action as a base. NOTE: This does not recursively go inside meta's, so care is still advised in that case.
2014-04-28NLA Editor: Added an operator to set preview range based on the extents of ↵Joshua Leung
selected strips This brings it more in line with the other anim editors, and makes like a little bit easier for animators working on games or looping anims.
2014-02-03Code cleanup: use bools where possibleCampbell Barton
2013-07-01NLA Bugfix: When clicking on a channel name in the channel list while still inJoshua Leung
tweakmode, this will now result in tweakmode being exited instead of going into a weird limbo-land where channel selection has changed (but tweakmode is still active but not drawn)
2013-06-09NLA Editor: It is now possible to add strips to AnimData blocks with no existingJoshua Leung
tracks As a convenience feature for those who are loading in action libraries and using these to quickly block out things in the NLA editor, it is now possible to add strips to AnimData blocks without first manually creating empty tracks to add these strips to. Simply ensure that such empty AnimData blocks are selected (Hint: click on the action line of the affected AnimData block to do so), and try to add a strip normally.
2013-03-22correct enums which were in fact variables defined in headers.Campbell Barton
2013-03-14NLA Editor: Operator to add AnimData to selected objects so that they can appearJoshua Leung
This commit introduces an operator in the Add menu - this operator ensures that all selected objects have AnimData attached to them (even if they don't have any actions/drivers yet). By doing this, these objects can at least appear in the NLA Editor, which will allow them to have strips added to them in future without having to create throwaway actions first (NOTE: there's still some stuff coming to allow that). Also, renamed NLA_OT_delete_tracks -> NLA_OT_tracks_delete
2012-05-08style cleanup: nlaCampbell Barton
2012-02-17unify include guard defines, __$FILENAME__Campbell Barton
without the underscores these clogged up the namespace for autocompleation which was annoying.
2011-11-02Space types:Thomas Dinges
* Some cleanup, removed references to already deleted *_header.c files. * Marked SpaceScript as deprecated and removed header. Will keep space for now though, as some script operators are there and Campbell might want to re-use the space later.

2011-08-07Sound clip NLA Strips for NexyonJoshua Leung
These are basically just for specifying when a speaker should fire off it's soundclip, and as such, many NLA operations are irrelevant for it. They can only be specified on object-level for speaker objects. I've still got some UI tweaks I'll need to work on in order for these to be able to be added even when the speaker doesn't have any NLA tracks yet. (EDIT: while typing this, I had an idea for how to do this, but that'll be for next commit). In the mean time, you'll need to add a single keyframe for the object, snowflake that action and delete the NLA strip before you can start editing.

2011-01-19NLA Editor: Swap Strips (Alt-F) and BugfixesJoshua Leung
1) Added a new operator to swap the order of strips within a track (Alt-F). This makes it possible to select two strips (or more precisely, two islands of consecutive + selected strips) in a single track and change the order in which the appear without needing a extra tracks to perform the move through. As usual, the non-overlapping rules apply, so there may be some cases where swapping in this way is not possible without adjusting the intermediate strips first manually. Otherwise, everything just gets too tricky to manage deciding what adjustments should be done to the obstructing strips to make a fit. 2) Freeing meta-strips didn't free their local data properly (i.e. modifiers they may have had). 3) Adding strips to tracks, where the endframes for the strips overlapped would cause problems with incorrect ordering of strips. I still need to double-check whether evaluation works ok in this case...

2010-03-18F-Modifier Goodies (as requested by @ndy):Joshua Leung
* Copy/Paste operators for F-Modifiers Available in Graph and NLA Editors. Use the Copy/Paste buttons beside the 'Add Modifier' buttons. Copy copies all the modifiers of the ACTIVE F-Curve or Strip depending on the editor. Paste pastes modifiers from the buffer to all the selected F-Curves or Strips, adding the new modifiers to the ends of each list. * 'Stepped Interpolation' F-Modifier This modifier holds each interpolated value from the F-Curve for several frames without changing the timing. This allows to preview motions 'on-twos' for example without altering the timing, or having to go through setting heaps of keyframes. In this case, Andy wanted to use this for CG <-> StopMo.

2010-01-24NLA Editor: Sync Action Extents with Referenced RangeJoshua Leung
This operator can be accessed from the "Action Clip" panel, and is used to include keyframes that have been added to a strip already in the NLA. Although this is not a recommended workflow, having this ability is useful at times.

2009-10-08Key ConfigurationBrecht Van Lommel
Keymaps are now saveable and configurable from the user preferences, note that editing one item in a keymap means the whole keymap is now defined by the user and will not be updated by Blender, an option for syncing might be added later. The outliner interface is still there, but I will probably remove it. There's actually 3 levels now: * Default builtin key configuration. * Key configuration loaded from .py file, for configs like Blender 2.4x or other 3D applications. * Keymaps edited by the user and saved in .B.blend. These can be saved to .py files as well to make creating distributable configurations easier. Also, user preferences sections were reorganized a bit, now there is: Interface, Editing, Input, Files and System. Implementation notes: * wmKeyConfig was added which represents a key configuration containing keymaps. * wmKeymapItem was renamed to wmKeyMapItem for consistency with wmKeyMap. * Modal maps are not wrapped yet. * User preferences DNA file reading did not support newdataadr() yet, added this now for reading keymaps. * Key configuration related settings are now RNA wrapped. * is_property_set and is_property_hidden python methods were added.
2009-08-16Animation Editors: Code Cleanups (for Channel Lists) Part 2Joshua Leung
Now the mute/protect/expand/etc. toggles are drawn using UI widgets. This means that special event handling code to determine when they were clicked on is no longer needed, and also means that there can now be tooltips for these items too. Also, added visibility toggles for ID-block expanders, which will cause all the F-Curves in the linked datablock to not get drawn. The backend filtering code to make this work will come later...
2009-07-09NLA SoC: Toggle muting operator - HKEYJoshua Leung
This operator provides a quick way of toggling the muted-status of several strips at the same time.
2009-07-07NLA SoC: Transform Code for NLA-Strips recoded (still buggy)Joshua Leung
Recoded the Transform code for NLA-Strips so that they can now be moved between strips and will not get truncated when they get moved into other non-moving strips. Todos: * The current code for moving strips between tracks is buggy (only goes up, and has a tendency to move up without being told to) * Auto-snapping doesn't work yet...
2009-07-06NLA SoC: More work on Meta-Strips Joshua Leung
* Added several API functions for Meta-Strips editing. One of these (flush transform) still needs a few tweaks before it does its job well enough for all cases. * Meta strips are now drawn with a purple-ish colour. The start/end points of the strips they encompass are shown with lines along the length of the strips, with lines starting from the top indicating start-points and lines starting from the bottom indicating end-points. * Meta strips can be made (i.e. strips can be assigned to meta-strips) by selecting some strips and pressing Shift-G. Meta strips can be removed by selecting some meta-strips and pressing Alt-G. * Strips can now be 'snapped' to start from: the current frame, the nearest frame, the nearest second, or the nearest marker; using the Shift-S hotkey. 'Islands' of adjacent selected strips occurring in the same track are moved together as a single strip so that the start-point of the first strip is on the sepcified time, but all the relative lengths of strips stay the same. Internally, temporary meta-strips are created to facilitate this.
