2019-05-02Refactor grid and scale indicator text drawingJacques Lucke
This affects the timeline, dopesheet, graph editor, sequencer, clip editor and nla editor. Removed structs and enums: `V2D_ARG_DUMMY`, `eView2D_Units`, `eView2D_Clamp`, `eView2D_Gridlines`, `View2DGrid`. A main goal of this refactor is to get rid of the very generic `View2DGrid` struct. The drawing code became very complex because there were many different combinations of settings. This refactor implements a different approach. Instead of one very generic API, there are many slighly different functions that do exactly, what we need in the different editors. Only very little code is duplicated, because the API functions compose some shared low level code. This structure makes the code much easier to debug and change, because every function has much fewer responsibilities. Additionally, this refactor fixes some long standing bugs. E.g. when `Show Seconds` is enabled, you zoom in and pan the view. Or that the step size between displayed frame numbers was always `>= 2`, no matter how close you zoom in. 2019-04-30Fix (unreported) two memleaks in clic-select ops of Action and NLA editors.Bastien Montagne
2019-04-30Refactor: Separate scrollers from text drawing in APIJacques Lucke
This is a continuation of rB7fdffd735ff24, where I separated the e.g. frame number drawing from scrollers internally. This patch changes the API, so that space draw handlers have to draw these numbers explicitely. This greatly simplifies the scrollers API for all spaces that just need scrollers without any frame numbers. Reviewers: campbellbarton Differential Revision: https://developer.blender.org/D4747

2019-04-24Refactor: allow event handlers to have a poll functionJacques Lucke
Previously only a fixed bounding box could be used. This was not flexible enough. T63193 will benefit from this refactor. Reviewers: brecht, campbellbarton

2019-04-18UI: move region toggling to propertiesCampbell Barton
Each space had separate operators, duplicating logic. Use RNA properties instead so adding the ability to toggle other region types (floating redo region for eg) doesn't need to have an extra operator per space type. It's also nicer to show a check-box for something which can be toggled.

2019-04-17ClangFormat: apply to source, most of internCampbell Barton

2019-04-16CMake: add library deps to CMakeLists.txtCampbell Barton
Tested to work on Linux and macOS. This will be enabled once all platforms are verified. See D4684
2019-04-14CMake: prepare for BLENDER_SORTED_LIBS removalCampbell Barton
No functional change, this adds LIB definition and args to cmake files. Without this it's difficult to migrate away from 'BLENDER_SORTED_LIBS' since there are many platforms/configurations that could break when changing linking order. Manually add and enable WITHOUT_SORTED_LIBS to try building without sorted libs (currently fails since all variables are empty). This check will eventually be removed. See T46725.

2019-03-18Fix T62636: Overlapping scrollbar in driver editorJacques Lucke
Instead of only `ymin` and `ymax`, `ANIM_channel_draw_widgets` has a rectangle as input now. This allows the caller to set a custom width for the channel. Some space types need the extra space for the scrollbar (drivers, graph), but the other don't have a scrollbar. Reviewers: brecht Differential Revision: https://developer.blender.org/D4543
2019-03-08Cleanup: use plural names for Main listsCampbell Barton
Convention was not to but after discussion on 918941483f7e we agree its best to change the convention. Names now mostly follow RNA. Some exceptions: - Use 'nodetrees' instead of 'nodegroups' since the struct is called NodeTree. - Use 'gpencils' instead of 'grease_pencil' since 'gpencil' is a common abbreviation in the C code. Other exceptions: - Leave 'wm' as it's a list of one. - Leave 'ipo' as is for versioning.

2019-02-03Cleanup: trailing commasCampbell Barton
Needed for clan-format not to wrap onto one line.
2019-02-01Cleanup: remove redundant, invalid info from headersCampbell Barton
BF-admins agree to remove header information that isn't useful, to reduce noise. - BEGIN/END license blocks Developers should add non license comments as separate comment blocks. No need for separator text. - Contributors This is often invalid, outdated or misleading especially when splitting files. It's more useful to git-blame to find out who has developed the code. See P901 for script to perform these edits.

2018-12-14Preferences: add option for header positionCampbell Barton
Sets the header position for newly created windows with few exceptions (preferences is always bottom, file-selector is always top).
2018-12-07Depsgraph: Remove duplicated sets of recalc/update flagsSergey Sharybin
There were at least three copies of those: - OB_RECALC* family of flags, which are rudiment of an old dependency graph system. - PSYS_RECALC* which were used by old dependency graph system as a separate set since the graph itself did not handle particle systems. - DEG_TAG_* which was used to tag IDs. Now there is a single set, which defines what can be tagged and queried for an update. It also has some aggregate flags to make queries simpler. Lets once and for all solve the madness of those flags, stick to a single set, which will not overlap with anything or require any extra conversion. Technically, shouldn't be measurable user difference, but some of the agregate flags for few dependency graph components did change. Fixes T58632: Particle don't update rotation settings

2018-11-09Keymap: move builtin keymaps from C to PythonBrecht Van Lommel
This should be purely an implementation change, for end users there should be no functional difference. The entire key configuration is in one file with ~5000 lines of code. Mostly avoiding code duplication and preserve comments and utility functions from the C code. It's a bit long but for searching and editing it's also convenient to have it all in one file. Notes: - Actual keymap is shared by blender / blender_legacy and stored in `keymap_data/blender_default.py` This only generates JSON-like data to be passed into `keyconfig_import_from_data`, allowing other presets to load and manipulate the default keymap. - Each preset defines 'keyconfig_data' which can be shared between presets. - Some of the utility functions for generating keymap items still need to be ported over to Python. - Some keymap items can be made into loops (marked as TODO). 2018-11-07Fix dpesgraph wrongly refcounting NLA strip actions when duplicating IDs.Bastien Montagne
NLA strips are users of their action, so we need to pass along ID management flags. This commit also cleans up a bit things by passing along ID_CREATE/COPY flags instead of dummy booleans...
2018-10-29Dope Sheet: new option to display keyframe interpolation mode and extremes.Alexander Gavrilov
With the new automatic handle algorithm, it is possible to do a lot of the animation via keyframes without touching the curves. It is however necessary to change the keyframe interpolation and handle types in certain cases. Currently the dopesheet/action editor allows changing the types, but does not show them in any way. To fix, add a new menu option to display this information. For handle type, it is represented using the shape of the key icons: diamond for Free, clipped diamond for Aligned, square for Vector, circle for Auto Clamp, and cirle with dot for Automatic. Non-bezier interpolation is a property of intervals between keys, so it is marked by drawing lines, similar to holds. In this initial version, only the fact of non-bezier interpolation is displayed, without distinguishing types. For summaries, the line is drawn at half alpha if not all curves in the group are non-bezier. In addition, it is sometimes helpful to know the general direction of change of the curve, and which keys are extremes. This commit also adds an option to highlight extremes, based on comparing the keyed values with adjacent keys. Half-intensity display is used for overshot bezier extremes, or non-uniform summaries. 2018-10-19Remove defunct NLA_OT_bakeDalai Felinto

2018-10-16Dope Sheet: rewrite computation of keyframe hold blocks.Alexander Gavrilov
Computation of hold blocks was done by storing ranges (with start and an end, and likely overlapping) in a tree keyed only by the block start. This cannot work well, and there even were comments that it is not reliable in complex cases. A much better way to deal with it is to split all ranges so they don't overlap. The most thorough way of doing this is to split at all and every known keyframe, and in this case the data can actually be stored in the key column data structures, avoiding the need for a second tree. In practice, splitting requires a pass to copy this data to newly added keys, and the necessity to loop over all keyframes in the range being added. Both are linear and don't add excess algorithmic complexity. The new implementation also calls BLI_dlrbTree_linkedlist_sync for its own needs, so the users of the *_to_keylist functions don't have to do it themselves anymore.
