This is a minimal, information-only view currently, listing by default
all the override data-blocks, with their user-edited override
properties.
System-generated overrides (like the overrides of pointers to other
override data-blocks) can be shown through a filter option.
Finally, potential info or warning messages from (auto-)resync propcess
are also shown, as an icon + tooltip next to the affected items.
Part of D10855.

Code to check if the Outliner tree-element type was the general ID one
would always check against "0" (explicity or even implicitly). For
somebody unfamiliar with the code this is very confusing. Instead the
value should be given a name, e.g. through an enum.
Adds `TSE_SOME_ID` as the "default" ID tree-element type. Other types
may still represent IDs, as I explained in a comment at the definition.
There may also still be cases where the type is checked against "0". I
noted in the comment that such cases should be cleaned up if found.

When editbones were selected from the Outliner (and they were connected
to a parent) with the 'Sync Selection' option turned ON, they could not
get duplicated.
For duplication to work, the (connected) parent bone's tip also has to
be selected [which was not the case when selection is done from the
Outliner under above circumstances]. The reason being that
armature_duplicate_selected_exec ->
ED_armature_edit_sync_selection clears the BONE_ROOTSEL flag if the
parent bone's BONE_TIPSEL is not set.
Caused by rB71eb65328078 btw.
The correct "parent-tip-selection" would actually happen in activation
- `tree_element_active_ebone`
-- `tree_element_active_ebone__sel`
but for 'Sync Selection' this happens [also] in
- `outliner_sync_selection_from_outliner`
-- `outliner_select_sync_to_edit_bone`
which did not do the "flushing" to the parent bone's tip
Now use existing dedicated function for this.

No functional changes. Rename soops, soutliner, and so to
space_outliner.

Walk navigation used a separate flag to select the element. This is
because activation and mode toggling were connected until rB702e00f91088
cleaned up the selection logic.
Now walk navigation can activate objects and other elements without
changing modes. This also addresses renaming in the outliner which
did renaming from the active element, not the walk element.

No functional changes. The outliner selection operators shared many
different functions for selection, activation, mode toggling, and other
actions, but the code paths were not always clear, making any changes
difficult.
This cleans up the code and uses outliner_item_select() as the base
function for selection, activation, mode toggling between the different
selection operators. It also prepares for future features and fixes.

Move the condition to check if selection syncing is enabled to inside
the syncing function rather than before each time it is called.
|
|
Note this only changes cases where the variable was declared inside
the for loop. To handle it outside as well is a different challenge.

Follow up of b2ee1770d4c3 and 10c2254d412d, part of T74432.
Now the area and region naming conventions should be less confusing.
Mostly a careful batch rename but had to do few smaller fixes.
Also ran clang-format on affected files.

The outliner didn't account for weight-paint + pose-mode,
making it consider all pose bones unselected.
When syncing selection, bones were unselected.
This adds a context argument to passed to drawing functions since
finding the weight-paint pose-object in the drawing loop isn't efficient.

Depending on the outliner display mode and the outliner dirty state,
a sync may not be needed on each draw. This commit adds a check
before syncing to prevent syncing when not needed.
|
|
This changes from-outliner selection syncing to always sync the
selection state of objects. This allows selecting objects while in
edit mode for parenting or adding hooks. This also fixes a few issues
where the sync algorithm would fail when no active object existed.

Tags all outliner sync types on undo and redo operations.

Adds a toggle to the filter menu for outliner synced selection. Enabled
by default, this ensures selection is synced between objects, bones, and
sequences. An active outliner element theme color is added to indicate
which element is active.
Synced selection is controlled on the operator level. Each operator
that modifies selection for objects, bones, sequences, or outliner
elements needs to call the respective ED_outliner_select_sync_from..
function to tag outliners to be synced.
Syncing is done lazily on outliner draw.
