Use a shorter/simpler license convention, stops the header taking so
much space.
Follow the SPDX license specification: https://spdx.org/licenses
- C/C++/objc/objc++
- Python
- Shell Scripts
- CMake, GNUmakefile
While most of the source tree has been included
- `./extern/` was left out.
- `./intern/cycles` & `./intern/atomic` are also excluded because they
use different header conventions.
doc/license/SPDX-license-identifiers.txt has been added to list SPDX all
used identifiers.

Combined view of timeline and preview causes seemingly unpredictable
behavior after some operators have been allowed to run in preview
region.
Disable new features in this combined view, so behavior should be
consistent with previous versions.

This commit fixes T90633, it changes the behavior of the `Frame All`
operation when the user is tabbed into a metastrip: instead of using
the scene timeline's range, `Frame All` uses the current metastrip's
range.

- Rename RNA SpaceSeq.show_strip_overlay to show_overlays
matching the 3D View, the term "strip" was misleading as this is used
for the preview as well.
- Rename various RNA overlay settings to overlay_frame
since "Frame Offset" is a specific feature, avoid having both
Editor.show_overlay and SpaceSeq.show_overlays.
- Rename Editing `over_*` -> `overlay_frame_*` in DNA,
as well as flags.

Don't include active strip in this operator.
This was confusing due to name of operator and inconsistent with other
editors.

Approximately 138 changes in the spelling of compound words
and proper names like "Light Probe", "Shrink/Fatten", "Face Map".
In many cases, hyphens were used where they aren't correct, like
"re-fit". Other common changes include:
- "Datablock" -> "data-block"
- "Floating point" -> "floating-point"
- "Ngons" -> "n-gons"
These changes help give the language used in the interface
a consistent, more professional feel.

Crash on null dereference in `SEQ_timeline_boundbox()`. This function was
generalized in rB9e4a4c2e996c to work on arbitrary `seqbase`.
Fixed by refactoring `SEQ_timeline_boundbox()` functions to return default
sane values if `seqbase` is `NULL`

Logic was broken into finding gaps and ofsetting strips.
Functions were modified so they work on explicitly defined seqbase,
so they can be used as python API functions.
Functional changes:
- Improve performance by calculating gap length and offseting strips
at once. Previously strips were offset by one frame.
- Calculate gap from start frame. Previously gap was considered only
inbetween strips.

In this mode the preview image is always using the most of the preview
area space: it is scaled to fit, preserving aspect ratio. This makes it
possible to always have maximum of the preview region even after resize
of other areas.
This mode is enabled by default, is available in the View -> Zoom to Fit
menu. It is enabled when View All (Home key) is used, and is disabled
when manual navigation ([panning, zooming) is performed.
There is no versioning code, which means existing files will open as-is,
but new projects will have this option enabled.

Currently there are no functional changes, preparing code to add more
functionality which is to be run from navigation/zoom operators.

This addresses warnings from Clang-Tidy's `readability-else-after-return`
rule in the `source/blender/editors/space_sequencer` module.
No functional changes.

- Remove the operator, use a generic operator instead.
- Switch between PREVIEW/SEQUENCER as the mixed state isn't as useful.
- Add menu item to make the shortcut discoverable.
- Remove unused & broken "View Type" menu.

The old convention was easy to confuse with ScrArea.
Part of https://developer.blender.org/T74432.
This is mostly a batch rename with some manual fixing. Only single word
variable names are changed, no prefixed/suffixed names.
Brecht van Lommel and Campbell Barton both gave me a green light for
this convention change.
Also ran clan clang format on affected files.

This change ensures that operators which needs access to evaluated data
first makes sure there is a dependency graph.
Other accesses to the dependency graph made it more explicit about
whether they just need a valid dependency graph pointer or whether they
expect the graph to be already evaluated.
This replaces OPTYPE_USE_EVAL_DATA which is now removed.
Some general rules about usage of accessors:
- Drawing is expected to happen from a fully evaluated dependency graph.
There is now a function to access it, which will in the future control
that dependency graph is actually evaluated.
This check is not yet done because there are some things to be taken
care about first: for example, post-update hooks might leave scene in
a state where something is still tagged for update.
- All operators which needs to access evaluated state must use
CTX_data_ensure_evaluated_depsgraph().
This function replaces OPTYPE_USE_EVAL_DATA.
The call is generally to be done in the very beginning of the
operator, prior other logic (unless this is some comprehensive
operator which might or might not need access to an evaluated state).
This call is never to be used from a loop.
If some utility function requires evaluated state of dependency graph
the graph is to be passed as an explicit argument. This way it is
clear that no evaluation happens in a loop or something like this.
- All cases which needs to know dependency graph pointer, but which
doesn't want to actually evaluate it can use old-style function
CTX_data_depsgraph_pointer(), assuming that underlying code will
ensure dependency graph is evaluated prior to accessing it.
- The new functions are replacing OPTYPE_USE_EVAL_DATA, so now it is
explicit and local about where dependency graph is being ensured.
This commit also contains some fixes of wrong usage of evaluation
functions on original objects. Ideally should be split out, but in
reality with all the APIs being renamed is quite tricky.
Fixes T67454: Blender crash on rapid undo and select
Speculation here is that sometimes undo and selection operators are
sometimes handled in the same event loop iteration, which leaves
non-evaluated dependency graph.

This caused text in strips to "jump around"
There was a comment in UI_view2d_zoom_cache_reset:
While scaling we can accumulate fonts at many sizes (~20 or so).
Not an issue with embedded font, but can use over 500Mb with i18n ones! See [#38244].

Missing Bits
============
First rule of Multi-View bug report: If something is not working as it should *when Views is off* this is a severe bug, do mention this in the report.
Second rule is, if something works *when Views is off* but doesn't (or crashes) when *Views is on*, this is a important bug. Do mention this in the report.
Everything else is likely small todos, and may wait until we are sure none of the above is happening.
Apart from that there are those known issues:
* Compositor Image Node poorly working for Multi-View OpenEXR
(this was working prefectly before the 'Use Multi-View' functionality)
* Selecting camera from Multi-View when looking from camera is problematic
* Animation Playback (ctrl+F11) doesn't support stereo formats
* Wrong filepath when trying to play back animated scene
* Viewport Rendering doesn't support Multi-View
* Overscan Rendering
* Fullscreen display modes need to warn the user
* Object copy should be aware of views suffix
