2019-08-02Fix edge selection ignoring clipping in wire-frame displayCampbell Barton
2019-08-02Fix ignored window clipping test in foreach edge functionCampbell Barton
2019-07-08Fix T62941 Subdivision Modifier Showing all face dotsClément Foucault
Previously in 2.79 we were using a specialized drawing using derivedMesh. Now the subsurf modifier tag each center vertex as facedot and let the DRWManager pick it up. Some modifiers (deforming ones) do not clear the tag so we can use this technique even if there is deforming modifiers after subsurf modifiers.
2019-06-05Cleanup: Remove unused argumentSergey Sharybin
2019-04-17ClangFormat: apply to source, most of internCampbell Barton
Apply clang format as proposed in T53211. For details on usage and instructions for migrating branches without conflicts, see: https://wiki.blender.org/wiki/Tools/ClangFormat
2019-04-14Cleanup: doxy commentsCampbell Barton
Use doxy references to function and enums, also correct some names which became out of sync.
2019-03-07Refactor CDData masks, to have one mask per mesh elem type.Bastien Montagne
We already have different storages for cddata of verts, edges etc., 'simply' do the same for the mask flags we use all around Blender code to request some data, or limit some operation to some layers, etc. Reason we need this is that some cddata types (like Normals) are actually shared between verts/polys/loops, and we don’t want to generate clnors everytime we request vnors! As a side note, this also does final fix to T59338, which was the trigger for this patch (need to request computed loop normals for another mesh than evaluated one). 2019-02-18doxygen: add newline after \fileCampbell Barton
While \file doesn't need an argument, it can't have another doxy command after it.
2019-02-06Cleanup: remove redundant doxygen \file argumentCampbell Barton
Move \ingroup onto same line to be more compact and make it clear the file is in the group.
2019-02-01Cleanup: remove redundant, invalid info from headersCampbell Barton
BF-admins agree to remove header information that isn't useful, to reduce noise. - BEGIN/END license blocks Developers should add non license comments as separate comment blocks. No need for separator text. - Contributors This is often invalid, outdated or misleading especially when splitting files. It's more useful to git-blame to find out who has developed the code. See P901 for script to perform these edits.
2019-01-26Cleanup: remove redundant BKE/BLI/BIF headersCampbell Barton
2018-12-06Fix T57770: Edit-mesh wireframe cage select failsCampbell Barton
2018-12-01Fix more cases of evaluated mesh being built for non-COW objects.Alexander Gavrilov
2018-10-15Mesh: remove DerivedMesh from various placesCampbell Barton
2018-10-09Edit Mesh: replace DerivedMesh w/ MeshCampbell Barton
DerivedMesh is now removed from edit-mesh modifier evaluation.
2018-09-25Curves: Move draw options to overlaysClément Foucault
This commit add one regression: it is impossible to currently hide handles in the viewport. But this should be fixed in another commit.
2018-07-30Cleanup/Refactor: Move CurveCache runtime data into Object.runtime struct.Bastien Montagne
Also, fix missing cleanup of Object.runtime when copying Object datablocks!
2018-06-05Moved function declarations from BKE_DerivedMesh.h to BKE_mesh_runtime.hSybren A. Stüvel
The function definitions still reside in DerivedMesh.c. Once we're done porting all the DerivedMesh use to Mesh, we'll move the still-relevant functions to mesh_runtime.c. This move is now cumbersome due to shared statically-declared utility functions in DerivedMesh.c
2018-05-24Fix T55186: Circle and Lasso select were not working on Pose BonesJoshua Leung
These needed to be using the COW evaluated data, instead of the raw bone positions. All other datatypes still need converting to work with this though.
2018-04-16Depsgraph: remove EvaluationContext, pass Depsgraph instead.Brecht Van Lommel
The depsgraph was always created within a fixed evaluation context. Passing both risks the depsgraph and evaluation context not matching, and it complicates the Python API where we'd have to expose both which is not so easy to understand. This also removes the global evaluation context in main, which assumed there to be a single active scene and view layer. Differential Revision: https://developer.blender.org/D3152
2017-08-16Pass EvaluationContext instead of bContextCampbell Barton
2.8x branch added bContext arg in many places, pass eval-context instead since its not simple to reason about what what nested functions do when they can access and change almost anything. Also use const to prevent unexpected modifications. This fixes crash loading files with shadows, since off-screen buffers use a NULL context for rendering.
2017-07-21Pass EvaluationContext argument everywhereLuca Rood
Note that some little parts of code have been dissabled because eval_ctx was not available there. This should be resolved once DerivedMesh is replaced.
2017-05-18Fix T51538: Weight-paint circle select w/ clippingCampbell Barton
2014-04-30Code cleanup: remove unused includesCampbell Barton
Opted to keep includes if they are used indirectly (even if removing is possible).
2014-04-26Code cleanup: use 'const' for arrays (editors)Campbell Barton
2013-10-28move bmesh array lookup data and utility functions from editmesh into bmesh,Campbell Barton
since enough bmesh operations can also take advantage of direct index lookups on verts/edges/faces. developers note: - EDBM_index_arrays_init/ensure/free -> BM_mesh_elem_table_ensure/init/free - EDBM_vert/edge/face_at_index -> BM_vert/edge/face_at_index - EDBM_uv_element_map_create/free -> BM_uv_element_map_create/free - ED_uv_element_get -> BM_uv_element_get
2013-08-19Move bevel list and path from Curve to Object datablockSergey Sharybin
I know this is not so much nice to have this guys hanging around in a general Object datablock and ideally they better be wrapped around into a structure like DerivedMesh or something like this. But this is pure runtime only stuff and we could re-wrap them around later. Main purpose of this is making curves more thread safe, so no separate threads will ever start freeing the same path or the same bevel list. It also makes sense because path and bevel shall include deformation coming from modifiers which are applying on pre-tesselation point and different objects could have different set of modifiers. This used to be really confusing in the past and now data which depends on object is stored in an object, making things clear for understanding even. This doesn't make curve code fully thread-safe due to pre-tesselation modifiers still modifies actual nurbs and lock is still needed in makeDispListsCurveTypes, but this change makes usage of paths safe for threading. Once modifiers will stop modifying actual nurbs, curves will be fully safe for threading. Actually, this commit also contains wrapping runtime curve members into own structure This allows easier assignment on file loading, keeps curve- specific runtime data grouped and saves couple of bytes in Object for non-curve types. -- svn merge -r57938:57939 ^/branches/soc-2013-depsgraph_mt svn merge -r57957:57958^/branches/soc-2013-depsgraph_mt
2013-07-23optimization: only calculate the normals for passing into derivedMesh ↵Campbell Barton
foreachMappedVert/foreachMappedFaceCenter when needed, this means in editmode with wire draw, face and vertex normals don't have to be calculated at all. in most cases the normals are not used so add a flag that makes calculating them only for functions that need them. also fix face normal calculation for CDDM, was using quad calculation for ngons too.
2013-06-25Include DNA_scene_types before ED_object instead of forward enum declarationSergey Sharybin
Forward enum declaration is a bad idea, especially for C++ which requires enum specification to dteermine which data type to use to store it. Alternative would be to not use enum as an arument and pass it as int, but actually would rather be strict on typing -- using explicit enum as parameter type helps understanding the code and prevents possible mistakes when using the function.
2013-06-19Remove paranoid null checks for editmesh EDBM_vert_at_index and friends (use ↵Campbell Barton
asserts instead). temp set BM_OMP_LIMIT to zero for better testing before release.
2013-05-08add in asserts when rv3d->viewmatob, rv3d->persmatob are not initialized.Campbell Barton
This is often hard to spot since in many cases it works correctly even when not initialized but may still fail in other situations.
2012-12-23add zbuf/depth option to weight paint lasso select.Campbell Barton
2012-12-12make EDBM_index_arrays's stay in memory, blender was allocating an array and ↵Campbell Barton
filling it for verts/edges/faces on every redraw. this may introduce bugs which I didn't catch, but they are very easy to identify in a debug build which has asserts to ensure the arrays are valid before use. in my own test drawing ~98,304 quads - this gave an overall ~16% drawing speedup.
2012-12-12use htype flags as arguments to EDBM_index_arrays_init(), no functional changes.Campbell Barton
2012-11-26code cleanup: doxy comment corrections and correct own typo animation player ↵Campbell Barton
docs.
2012-10-26fix own error when refactoring projection code, [#32971] Edge Select ↵Campbell Barton
unusable beyond certain zoom distance.
2012-10-17code cleanup:Campbell Barton
- move object_iterators.c --> view3d_iterators. (ED_object.h had to include ED_view3d.h which isn't so nice) - move projection functions from view3d_view.c --> view3d_project.c (view3d_view was becoming a mishmash of utility functions and operators). - some some cmake includes as system-includes.
