'orient_type'
`orient_index` is a more comprehensive value as it reveals both the type and index.

The rotation direction was flipped recently.
This meant that rotation on a single axis gave negative results compared
with previous Blender releases.
This partially reverts a9b53daf23ba8b6cb4c930e06154ffd35522b00d.

The white rotation Gizmo should always use the View orientation.
Before, if you set an orientation for the gizmo other than the default,
that gizmo would behave like the contraint Z Gizmo.

This solution replaces {rBf9e994d0f463}.
That commit created an inverted orientation matrix but the 'Align to
Transform Orientation' operator doesn't work well with inverted matrices.
This new solution makes the rotate operator use the negative vector of the
axis.

This reverts commit f9e994d0f463abb87761591e30c47a9613be6cca.
And fixes T85227.

When using grease pencil for drawing Storyboards, it's very common to require a transform of the layers. This transform can be done using the offset modifier, but in some cases, the scene requires a lot of modifiers and makes the file hard to work.
This new feature adds a transforms Location, Rotation and Scale at Layer level, and allows to transform the layer without using a modifier, keeping the scene more clean.
{F9480695}
This feature was suggested by @pepeland after receiving feedback from several artists.
Also, done some code cleanup and rename some functions to get a better naming.

The transform code did not provide a 2d context to be used in 3d space.
The solution is to set all matrices for the screen space in these cases.
This commit also removes the dial3d drawing in these cases.
It was not correct anyway.

|
The change was intentional so that the orientation matrices match
(`rv3d->viewinv` becomes equal to the orientation matrix).
But, although in a projection matrix the Z axis is negative, this
should not be so from the user's point of view.
So the solution here is to negate the Z axis when the View orientation
is chosen.
This affects all modes, but is only evident for rotation.
---
Another change here is to use the final rotation value (`values_final`)
for the gizmo drawing since this value can be changed by the mode.

This patch is the result of the GSoC 2020 "Editing Grease Pencil Strokes
Using Curves" project. It adds a submode to greasepencil edit mode that
allows for the transformation of greasepencil strokes using bezier
curves. More information about the project can be found
here: https://wiki.blender.org/wiki/User:Filedescriptor/GSoC_2020.

This commit removes `t->snap[0]` and `t->snap_spatial[0]`.
They were not actually being used, and could add overhead for
transformation without snap.

Bug introduced in rBc75a665c442e

|
When editing a complex curve is very annoying to have all handles at a time. Also, this is a requirement for the current GSoC Edit Grease Pencil using curves.
I have seen that this improvement can be used in any other area of blender, so I have decided to publish the option in the overlay panel..

This was so because of the rotate transformation mode but it can make
other modes confusing and add unnecessary complexity.

This was caused by the sRGB viewport changes. The fix is to modify the
alpha values manually.

- Use `t->spacemtx` as the orientation matrix instead `t->orient_matrix`.
- Unify constraint behavior between modal and non-modal.
- Simplify code to remove old workarounds and rearrange struct members.
This fix T66142 since the actual `orient_type` (in the case
`V3D_ORIENT_NORMAL`) is used during Redo instead of always using
`V3D_ORIENT_CUSTOM_MATRIX`).

count_set_pose_transflags --> transform_convert_pose_transflags_update
count_bone_select --> armature_bone_transflags_update_recursive
Also don't mix `BONE_TRANSFORM_MIRROR` with `BONE_TRANSFORM` in
transflag. (This was a mess introduced in rBde530a95dc7b).

Follow up of b2ee1770d4c3 and 10c2254d412d, part of T74432.
Now the area and region naming conventions should be less confusing.
Mostly a careful batch rename but had to do few smaller fixes.
Also ran clang-format on affected files.

This commit is a full refactor of the grease pencil modules including Draw Engine, Modifiers, VFX, depsgraph update, improvements in operators and conversion of Sculpt and Weight paint tools to real brushes.
Also, a huge code cleanup has been done at all levels.
Thanks to @fclem for his work and yo @pepeland and @mendio for the testing and help in the development.

The old convention was easy to confuse with ScrArea.
Part of https://developer.blender.org/T74432.
This is mostly a batch rename with some manual fixing. Only single word
variable names are changed, no prefixed/suffixed names.
Brecht van Lommel and Campbell Barton both gave me a green light for
this convention change.
Also ran clan clang format on affected files.

NOTE: This change shouldn't have any visible effect. It's just the
first (easiest) step towards decoupling gizmo redraws from viewport
redraws.
We currently redraw the entire region whenever a gizmo needs redrawing,
which would be nice to avoid in the future, see T73198. The first step
towards this would be having a separate tag for them, which is what
this patch implements.
The term "editor-overlays" was chosen because for the forseeable future,
we'll also have to redraw non-gizmo overlays in-between drawing 3D and
2D gizmos. Namely annotations.

This was caused but a workaround for not selecting the gizmos in camera
view. We lower the threshold to make it work on maximum zoom level.
|
|
This resolves a logical problem using tweak as a fallback tool.
See: T66304#828742
The select action would immediately show the gizmo underneath it,
then the tweak would be handled by the gizmo instead of moving the item
under the cursor.
Currently this works by hiding the gizmo until the tweak event ends.
While it's simpler to check if the gizmo received a mouse-down event,
it causes flickering before each drag event which feels like a glitch.
This is optional for each gizmo type because there are cases where this
can be useful to activate the gizmo immediately (mesh rip for example).
|
|
This only worked once the gizmo was displayed.
|
|
|
|
Implement T66304 as an experimental option,
available under the preferences "Experimental" section.
- When enabled most tools in the 3D view have a gizmo.
- Dragging outside the gizmo uses the 'fallback' tool.
- The fallback tool can be changed or disabled in the tool options
or from a pie menu (Alt-W).

Add transform_snap.h header which includes DNA enum.
|
|
Multiple selection operations failed with weight-paint + pose mode.
Weight-paint + pose mode is a special case that doesn't support
multi-pose mode, so we need to use this instead of the generic
function.
|
|
The manipulator would hide axes that were locked, even if the lock was
applied to a different space. That would lead to confusing behavior of
the manipulator. E.g.:
* Add armature
* Enter Pose Mode and select the bone
* Lock X and Y location in the Sidebar
* Enable the Move tool
* Only the Y axis is visible, but doesn't do anything on dragging
The manipulator would only show the Y axes, even though the lock is
applied to the bone's local Y axis, which matches the manipulators Z
axis.
