This is often invalid, outdated or misleading
especially when splitting files.
It's more useful to git-blame to find out who has developed the code.

API users no longer need to define them in user-defined Functions, Predicates and StrokeShaders.
Also removed all .getName() and .getExactTypeName() definitions in pre-defined Functions,
Predicates and StrokeShaders subclasses.
|
|
Fix for PyGetSetDef and proper handling of keyword arguments were done in
UnaryPredicate0D, UnaryPredicate1D, BinaryPredicate1D, and StrokeShader classes.
Style modules were updated accordingly. Additional code clean-up was also made.

that
none of the SVertices are within the image boundary but an FEdge intersects with
the image boundary.
The problem was reported by edna through the BA Freestyle thread, with a .blend
file for reproducing the bug. Thanks!

(http://freestyle.sourceforge.net/doc/html/index.html) has been
incorporated into the Blender/Freestyle Python API implementation
in the form of Sphinx-based embedded docstrings. Some C++-specific
descriptions of classes and functions were revised so that they are
suitable for Python programmers. Missing docstrings were filled,
and sparse descriptions were extended. By means of the new
documentation system for Blender, an up-to-date Freestyle Python
API reference will be part of the Blender 2.5 documentation.

Functions, and StrokeShader types.

built-in types (the first was in revision 21877). When an exception
has raised within from the __init__ method of a user-defined class
derived from a built-in type (e.g., UnaryPredicate0D and
BinaryPredicate1D), some member variables of the base type are
left uninitialized, leading to a null pointer reference in the
"__dealloc__" function in the base type. To avoid this, pointer
checking was added in the deallocators of those built-in types that
can be used to define a subclass by a user.

callable(I, T) returns True when I is an object of a type T or
of a subtype of T. Also implemented a measure to avoid an
infinite loop when user-defined predicate and function classes
do not properly overload the __call__ method (including the
cases of directly instantiating the base classes such as
UnaryPredicate0D and BinaryPredicate1D).

of the original styles are supported: stroke attributes are correctly taken into account, Python shaders are supported. Added SamplingShader.

polymorphism for the following classes: BinaryPredicate0D (__call__), BinaryPredicate1D (__call__), UnaryPredicate0D (__call__), UnaryPredicate1D (__call__), StrokeShader (shade), ChainingIterator (init, traverse).
Other methods could easily be supported in the future. The method now works as planned for the contour style. For style modules with Python shaders, there still is a problem that I will fix right away.

former predicate methods were not working. As Stéphane had mentioned a few months ago, Freestyle uses SWIG directors to provide cross-language polymorphism. The API and the system I had provided did not support that feature and only implementations in C++ were supported. To correct the problem, after researching how directors are implemented in SWIG, I provided the same functionality. So far, I only provided the code for the UnaryPredicate1D class and it works. The implementation is in intern/python/Director.cpp and Operators.cpp. I will port the remaining directors tonight and continue to test it.
To prevent strokes from piling up after each render, I clear the canvas at each render now (as it should have been all along)

UnaryPredicate{0D,1D} ).
There is just one more class remaining to port (and probably the most important): Operators. After that, I'll be able to test whether Freestyle functions well without SWIG.

prefix to avoid library name collision.
Included MediumType's initialization at proper time to avoid Blender's crash.
