Also add missing task-ID reference & remove colon after \note as it
doesn't render properly in doxygen.

Currently only supports single image frames (no animation possible).
If quality slider is set to 100 then lossless compression will be used,
otherwise lossy compression is used.
Gives about 35% reduction of filesize save when re-saving splash screens with lossless
compression.
Also saves much faster, up to 15x faster than PNG with a better compression ratio as a plus.
Note, this is currently left disabled until we have WebP libs (see T95206)
For testing precompiled libs can be downloaded from Google:

Use a shorter/simpler license convention, stops the header taking so
much space.
Follow the SPDX license specification: https://spdx.org/licenses
- C/C++/objc/objc++
- Python
- Shell Scripts
- CMake, GNUmakefile
While most of the source tree has been included
- `./extern/` was left out.
- `./intern/cycles` & `./intern/atomic` are also excluded because they
use different header conventions.
doc/license/SPDX-license-identifiers.txt has been added to list SPDX all
used identifiers.

This replaces header include guards with `#pragma once`.
A couple of include guards are not removed yet (e.g. `__RNA_TYPES_H__`),
because they are used in other places.
This patch has been generated by P1561 followed by `make format`.

This adds the `Half Float Precision` option in the image property panel.
This option is only available on float textures and is enabled by default.
Adding a flag inside the imbuf (IB_halffloat) on load is done for EXR and PSD formats that can store half floating point (16bits/channels).
The option is then not displayed in this case and forced.

This also replaces the Use Alpha setting. We now have these alpha modes:
* Straight: store RGB and alpha channels separately with alpha acting as a
mask, also known as unassociated alpha.
* Premultiplied: transparent RGB pixels are multiplied by the alpha channel.
The natural format for renders.
* Channel Packed: different images are packed in the RGB and alpha channels,
and they should not influence each other. Channel packing is commonly used
by game engines to save memory.
* None: ignore alpha channel from the file and make image fully opaque.
Cycles OSL does not correctly support Channel Packed and None yet, we are
missing fine control over the OpenImageIO texture cache to do that.

Developers should add non license comments as separate comment blocks.
No need for separator text.

It's more useful to git-blame to find out who has developed the code.

It has been deprecated since at least macOS 10.9 and fully removed in 10.12.
I am unsure if we should remove it only in 2.8. But you cannot build blender with it supported when using a modern xcode version anyway so I would tend towards just removing it also for 2.79 if that ever happens.

This patch aims at providing multiple compression modes for TIFF output,
particularly uncompressed mode.
At this moment have None, Deflate, LZW and Pack Bits modes been integrated,
mimicking The GIMP export modes (except JPEG mode, which returned encoding
errors).
More modes could be added if needed.
Default remains Deflate.

files.
All optional image format are not #define'd in submodules like DDS read/write code.
This means values of `eImbTypes` would not always be the same in all contexts, yuck!
This is a regression and should be backported to 'a' release.

ImBuf types were getting stored as bitflags in a 32bit integer which had
already run out of space. Solved the problem by separating file type to
an ftype enum, and file specific options to foptions.

Missing Bits
============
First rule of Multi-View bug report: If something is not working as it should *when Views is off* this is a severe bug, do mention this in the report.
Second rule is, if something works *when Views is off* but doesn't (or crashes) when *Views is on*, this is a important bug. Do mention this in the report.
Everything else is likely small todos, and may wait until we are sure none of the above is happening.
Apart from that there are those known issues:
* Compositor Image Node poorly working for Multi-View OpenEXR
(this was working prefectly before the 'Use Multi-View' functionality)
* Selecting camera from Multi-View when looking from camera is problematic
* Animation Playback (ctrl+F11) doesn't support stereo formats
* Wrong filepath when trying to play back animated scene
* Viewport Rendering doesn't support Multi-View
* Overscan Rendering
* Fullscreen display modes need to warn the user
* Object copy should be aware of views suffix

This patch makes it possible for the user to select all supported compression types in OpenEXR 2.2
Discussion points:
- B44 is only defined for half's it compresses to a fixed representation of 44% of the halfs. We do currently not reflect in the UI that in the case of float32's it will be equal to compression = NONE
- ZIPS is single scanline zip and is supposed to be useful in cases where importing in Nuke happens.
- The new Dreamworks formats, are the worth exposing etc etc

Issue was caused by cache limitor removing viewer image buffer
from the memory during compositing. Now made it so all viewer
images are persistent in the memory.
This solves the crash mentioned above and also makes it so
render/compo results are never lost.
Further tweaks are possible, but pretty much happy now, at
least no stoppers for work are there.
|

As per Brecht van Lommel's suggestion.

We now support the combined layer of Photoshop files (stored as layer 0
in the file). This way users can keep their files as multilayer PSD and
Blender always handle them as flat images.
For perfect alpha this requires an OpenImageIO update:
https://github.com/OpenImageIO/oiio/commit/342cc2633ff590a3bb278481c61ae798c7148361
Photoshop sample files:
https://github.com/OpenImageIO/oiio-images
Brecht has some pending fixes to push for OIIO as well, so we may as
well wait to update our libraries.
What works:
===========
* 8bit images (with or without alpha)
* 16bits images (alpha discarded)
* Photoshop files saved with 'Maximum Compatibility'
* Cycles, Blender internal, BGE (and player)
Known limitations
(due to OIIO dependency):
=========================
* Images with less than 4 channels show a wrong thumbnail (bug may be in OIIO)
* Packed images are not supported
* We do not write PSD files.
Note: old Blenders have support for PSD via Quicktime library. But due
to license issues this was discontinued.
Many thanks for Brecht van Lommel for reviewing the patch, suggesting
multiple improvements and to help solving the alpha issue.

outside of loop and remove a function call. Should give a little speedup when
painting inside the image editor.
|
|
Used by image painting mode, so every brush step would mark area
if affected on, but actual color space conversion would happen
later when actually displaying image.
Implemented as a rcti stored in ImBuf which is getting merged with
partial rect passed to IMB_partial_display_buffer_update_delayed.
This makes painting as fast as it currently possible and finally
solves #33935: Texture painting slow down with mouse, but not with tablet
