2013-03-17code cleanup: incorrect sized array args, remove some redundant code.Campbell Barton
2013-03-13patch [#34604] Add DPI read write for BMP and OpenEXR formatCampbell Barton
2013-03-05patch [#34103]Campbell Barton
from Lawrence D'Oliveiro (ldo) More use of bool type, necessitating adding inclusion of BLI_utildefines.h, or moving it up in the inclusion order if it was already included, in various places - storage.c: make some variables only used in bli_builddir local to that - storage.c: BLI_file_descriptor_size should allow 0 as a valid file descriptor - path_util.c: make pointers to non-reentrant storage returned from folder routines const, necessitating making variables holding these returned pointers const elsewhere as well - path_util.c: BLI_string_to_utf8 closes iconv context in case of conversion error - blf_lang.c: fill_locales routine now has its own "languages" local variable to construct paths (was stealing internal storage belonging to BLI_get_folder before)

2012-09-15Color Management, Stage 2: Switch color pipeline to use OpenColorIOSergey Sharybin
Replace old color pipeline which was supporting linear/sRGB color spaces only with OpenColorIO-based pipeline. This introduces two configurable color spaces: - Input color space for images and movie clips. This space is used to convert images/movies from color space in which file is saved to Blender's linear space (for float images, byte images are not internally converted, only input space is stored for such images and used later). This setting could be found in image/clip data block settings. - Display color space which defines space in which particular display is working. This settings could be found in scene's Color Management panel. When render result is being displayed on the screen, apart from converting image to display space, some additional conversions could happen. This conversions are: - View, which defines tone curve applying before display transformation. These are different ways to view the image on the same display device. For example it could be used to emulate film view on sRGB display. - Exposure affects on image exposure before tone map is applied. - Gamma is post-display gamma correction, could be used to match particular display gamma. - RGB curves are user-defined curves which are applying before display transformation, could be used for different purposes. All this settings by default are only applying on render result and does not affect on other images. If some particular image needs to be affected by this transformation, "View as Render" setting of image data block should be set to truth. Movie clips are always affected by all display transformations. This commit also introduces configurable color space in which sequencer is working. This setting could be found in scene's Color Management panel and it should be used if such stuff as grading needs to be done in color space different from sRGB (i.e. when Film view on sRGB display is use, using VD16 space as sequencer's internal space would make grading working in space which is close to the space using for display). Some technical notes: - Image buffer's float buffer is now always in linear space, even if it was created from 16bit byte images. - Space of byte buffer is stored in image buffer's rect_colorspace property. - Profile of image buffer was removed since it's not longer meaningful. - OpenGL and GLSL is supposed to always work in sRGB space. It is possible to support other spaces, but it's quite large project which isn't so much important. - Legacy Color Management option disabled is emulated by using None display. It could have some regressions, but there's no clear way to avoid them. - If OpenColorIO is disabled on build time, it should make blender behaving in the same way as previous release with color management enabled. More details could be found at this page (more details would be added soon): http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:Ref/Release_Notes/2.64/Color_Management -- Thanks to Xavier Thomas, Lukas Toene for initial work on OpenColorIO integration and to Brecht van Lommel for some further development and code/ usecase review!
2012-08-31Possible fix for [#32462] blender cannot load bmp files (Windows OS).Thomas Dinges
* Typo in the CHECK_HEADER_FIELD macro. Patch by kjym3 in IRC, thanks!
2012-08-27File format fixesSergey Sharybin
- Add check for header field in BMP decoder. This is needed to distinguish whether file is indeed BMP image or not. Without this check Blender could easily crash when it'll try to load non-BMP image. Tested with files from own HDD, but all of them has got BM header field, more testing would be welcome. - Made Jpeg2000 aware of J2K codec. Originally was needed to verify .j2c files here in the studio, but having support of this codec would be nice in general. Currently supports only reading in this codec, writing would still using jp2 codec.

2012-03-20Adds support for utf paths on Windows.Alexander Kuznetsov
Not all file formats/calls are supported yet. It will be expended. Please from now on use BLI_fopen, BLI_* for file manipulations. For non-windows systems BLI_fopen just calls fopen. For Windows, the utf-8 string is translated to utf-16 string in order to call UTF version of the function.

2010-10-17- fixed remaining unused warnings.Campbell Barton
- omit render code from this warning (cmake only), until render branch is merged. - moved -Wunused-parameter warning to apply to all C code in blender (not just ./source/blender), (cmake only).
2010-10-16most unused arg warnings corrected.Campbell Barton
- removed deprecated bitmap arg from IMB_allocImBuf (plugins will need updating). - mostly tagged UNUSED() since some of these functions look like they may need to have the arguments used later.
2010-09-15bugfix [#23405] PNG Images bigger then 2gig wont load with blender.Campbell Barton
all image formats should be able to load files bigger then 2gig (when its supported)
2010-05-07Merge image related changes from the render branch. This includes the imageBrecht Van Lommel
tile cache code in imbuf, but it is not hooked up to the render engine. Imbuf module: some small refactoring and removing a lot of unused or old code (about 6.5k lines). * Added a ImFileType struct with callbacks to make adding an file format type, or making changes to the API easier. * Move imbuf init/exit code into IMB_init()/IMB_exit() functions. * Increased mipmap levels from 10 to 20, you run into this limit already with a 2k image. * Removed hamx, amiga, anim5 format support. * Removed colormap saving, only simple colormap code now for reading tga. * Removed gen_dynlibtiff.py, editing this is almost as much work as just editing the code directly. * Functions removed that were only used for sequencer plugin API: IMB_anim_nextpic, IMB_clever_double, IMB_antialias, IMB_gamwarp, IMB_scalefieldImBuf, IMB_scalefastfieldImBuf, IMB_onethird, IMB_halflace, IMB_dit0, IMB_dit2, IMB_cspace * Write metadata info into OpenEXR images. Can be viewed with the command line utility 'exrheader' For the image tile cache code, see this page: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:2.5/Source/Imaging/ImageTileCache

2010-01-09Color management fixesMatt Ebb
Now it's a bit more robust, tagging images with profiles when they're loaded, which then get interpreted later on by conversion functions. Just Linear RGB and sRGB profiles at the moment, same as before. This commit fixes Martin's problem with EXRs and Multilayer images loading/ saving too dark, and it also makes the sequence editor work correctly with it too. Also fixes: [#19647] gamma correction with color management is reset when resetting Curve [#19454] 2.5: Dither does not work when Color management is enabled

assumes each raster line is padded to a multiple of 4 bytes.
2005-03-20 - remove all obsolete inclusions of BLI_winstuff.h (due to recent changes)Daniel Dunbar
NOTE: BLI_winstuff.h was meant to be a wrapper around windows.h to handle undefining various crap that windows.h defines. Platform specific headers should only have to be included in a few places. This reduces the number of inclusions of BLI_winstuff.h to 16 which is a much more reasonable number (than the 144 or whatever it used to be)
2005-03-09big warning hunt commitJean-Luc Peurière
lot of casts, added prototypes, missing includes and some true errors
2005-01-10This is for bug # 2068Kent Mein
I standarized the returns on a failed opening of the output file for the above image formats. I also cleaned up a couple of warnings. Kent
2005-01-03This is a pretty lame commit but here it is:Kent Mein
I just fixed indentation (replaced spaces with tabs where needed) and removed #include config.h stuff from the above files. Kent
2004-12-21Eeek! last minute error.Ton Roosendaal
Commit of dec 9... still uses fopen(name, "ab") instead of "wb" Caused targa and bmp files to write wrong on save-over, appended instead.
2004-12-09This fixes bug #1990Kent Mein
It moves targa, bmp, iris and png loading so that were not opening 2 file handles for each file, and made them like the jpeg stuff. Also cleaned up some minor other stuff. Kent
2004-12-08removed a debug printf. (excuse to check cvs permissions)Rob Haarsma
2004-06-09This fix is thanks to: hangman4 (Thomas Power)Kent Mein
Basically needed a fflush on the file after all of the writing. This closes out 1080 Kent
2004-06-09Fixed part of write a bmp file, its still truncating the image slightlyKent Mein
however this fixes another problem. (Basically the offset wasn't being computed correctly. This is for bug: 1080 Kent
2004-01-10Added support for outputting bmp'sKent Mein
The padding is slightly messed up, so it produces somewhat trunkcated images however it works. I'll try and fix it later but I have to go home now. Its atleast usable at this stage. I moved bmp_decode.c to bmp.c and cleaned it up a little bit. Kent
