Use a shorter/simpler license convention, stops the header taking so
much space.
Follow the SPDX license specification: https://spdx.org/licenses
- C/C++/objc/objc++
- Python
- Shell Scripts
- CMake, GNUmakefile
While most of the source tree has been included
- `./extern/` was left out.
- `./intern/cycles` & `./intern/atomic` are also excluded because they
use different header conventions.
doc/license/SPDX-license-identifiers.txt has been added to list SPDX all
used identifiers.
See P2788 for the script that automated these edits.

Remove DNA headers, using forward declarations where possible.
Also removed duplicate header, header including it's self
and unnecessary inclusion of libc system headers from BKE header.

Use the size argument to ensure checking the header doesn't read
past the buffer bounds when reading corrupt/truncated headers
from image files.

No functional changes, prepare for fixing out-of-bounds access
when reading headers.

Most of these callbacks don't do a NULL check,
so there is no need to do this for bmp/png.
Also correct radiance_hdr comments.

Apply clang format as proposed in T53211.

While \file doesn't need an argument, it can't have another doxy
command after it.
|
|
Move \ingroup onto same line to be more compact and
make it clear the file is in the group.

BF-admins agree to remove header information that isn't useful,
to reduce noise.
- BEGIN/END license blocks
Developers should add non license comments as separate comment blocks.
No need for separator text.
- Contributors
This is often invalid, outdated or misleading
especially when splitting files.
It's more useful to git-blame to find out who has developed the code.
See P901 for script to perform these edits.

- Metadata handling is now separate from `ImBuf *`, allowing it to be
used with a generic `IDProperty *`.
- Merged `IMB_metadata_add_field()` and `IMB_metadata_change_field()`
into a more robust `IMB_metadata_set_field()`. This new function
doesn't return any status (it now always succeeds, and the previously
existing return value was never checked anyway).
- Removed `IMB_metadata_del_field()` as it was never actually used
anywhere.
- Use `IMB_metadata_ensure()` instead of having
`IMB_metadata_set_field()` create the containing `IDProperty` for
you.
- Deduplicated function declarations, moved `intern/IMB_metadata.h` out
of `intern/`. Note that this does mean that we have some extra
`#include "IMB_metadata.h"` lines now, as the metadata functions are
no longer declared in `IMB_imbuf.h`.
- Deduplicated function declarations, all metadata-related declarations
are now in imbuf/IMB_metadata.h.

ImBuf types were getting stored as bitflags in a 32bit integer which had
already run out of space. Solved the problem by separating file type to
an ftype enum, and file specific options to foptions.

Older libpng library does not use const pointer to a memory.
The exact version is a bit of a guess here, maybe needs tweaks to it tho.

PNG_COLOR_TYPE_GRAY colortype can have some values for alpha, in the same way as
PNG_COLOR_TYPE_PALETTE colortype.
In this case, we need two channels (grayscale and alpha), not one.

Makes usage of those funcs much more clear, we even had mixed '!strcmp(foo, bar)'
and 'strcmp(foo, bar) == 0' in several places...

Suppress warning for now, it's harmless and only happens
with new libpng.
In the future we might try enabling it for non-datatoc-ed
files, but it's really not worth spending lots of time on.

There were an issues with data structures defined in headers
and being used by both C and C++ on systems with stdbool
unavailable.
This happened because bool in this case will be defined as
unsigned int, which is 4 bytes. But C++'s bool is only 1
byte and this lead to alignment issues.
Now bool is always 1 byte, also made sure there's no situation
like bool foo = BitField & BitFlag, which could give overflow
issues. Use (BitField & BitFlag) != 0 instead.

More use of bool type, necessitating adding inclusion of BLI_utildefines.h, or moving it up in the inclusion order if it was already included, in various places
- storage.c: make some variables only used in bli_builddir local to that
- storage.c: BLI_file_descriptor_size should allow 0 as a valid file descriptor
- path_util.c: make pointers to non-reentrant storage returned from folder routines const, necessitating making variables holding these returned pointers const elsewhere as well
- path_util.c: BLI_string_to_utf8 closes iconv context in case of conversion error
- blf_lang.c: fill_locales routine now has its own "languages" local variable to construct paths (was stealing internal storage belonging to BLI_get_folder before)

16bit PNG and Jpeg2K exporters were not aware of the simple
fact that float buffer could have only 3 or 1 channels.
|
|
|
|
16bit PNG images were not doing any conversions when saving linear float buffers, but would always load them as SRGB.
apply the same method used for 16bit images from floats as used in jpeg2000.
