2010-04-15Merge various small changes from render branch:Brecht Van Lommel
* Division by zero fix for TNT SVD code. * Sound fix, in case ffmpeg decode fails, don't use the samples. * Fix for incorrect bounds of transformed objects in new raytracing code. * Gave memory arena's a name used for allocations for easier memory usage debugging. * Dupligroup no_draw option was using layers but not restrict view/render setting. (not a bugfix exactly but would do display list context switching while drawing for no reason). * Fix objects instanced on hair particles not giving consistent results when the object is transformed. * New math functions: madd_v4_v4fl, len_squared_v3v3, interp_v4_v4v4v4, mul_v4_m4v4, SH and form factor functions, box_minmax_bounds_m4. * mul_m4_m4m4 and mul_m3_m3m3 now accept the same pointers for multiple arguments. * endjob callback for WM jobs system. * Geometry node uv/color layer now has search list/autocomplete. * Various small buildsystem tweaks, not strictly needed yet in trunk.
2010-04-12Patch from Xavier Thomas, tweaks/fixes to FFMPEG YUV conversion codeMatt Ebb
2010-04-08Fix for previous FFMPEG commit, needs extra version ifdefsMatt Ebb
2010-04-08Fix [#21890] YUV->RGB: Color clamping 16-235 in all motion pictures (ffmpeg)Matt Ebb
Patch by Troy James Sobotka - this uses options in newer FFMPEG versions to convert the full 0-255 YUV range of imported imagery to RGB, rather than clipping at 16-235. This functionality is not available yet in an official FFMPEG release (current precompiled version in /lib for osx at least is v0.5.1 from 2009) so this won't take effect in that situation, but if you've got a newer ffmpeg on your system it will work.

2010-03-21Fix syntax for ID keyword.Guillermo S. Romero
2010-03-14Remove SAT texture filter. It's not working, thought it was but that'sBrecht Van Lommel
because the mipmap was not being refreshed. Also this will be problematic to support when I add tile/mipmap cache, so would not rather not try to. Can be added back afterwards if someone wants to make it work.

2010-01-26Fix [#20821] COLOR MANAGEMENT: Corrupts motion picture filesMatt Ebb
Wasn't tagging movie formats with profiles properly.

2010-01-11- player building againCampbell Barton
- fix for compiler warnigns - bpath reporting was incorrect
2010-01-09Color management fixesMatt Ebb
Now it's a bit more robust, tagging images with profiles when they're loaded, which then get interpreted later on by conversion functions. Just Linear RGB and sRGB profiles at the moment, same as before. This commit fixes Martin's problem with EXRs and Multilayer images loading/ saving too dark, and it also makes the sequence editor work correctly with it too. Also fixes: [#19647] gamma correction with color management is reset when resetting Curve [#19454] 2.5: Dither does not work when Color management is enabled

2009-12-01fix for [#19990] file browser crashAndrea Weikert
needed to fix jpg error handling to not return control to the library from jpg_error used as error exit. Needed to add structured exception handling (setjmp/longjmp) - not very nice but needed in this case. (Also recommended in example.c from libjpg and used in gimp ;) )
2009-11-18ID properties that are displayed via RNA can now define their own UI settings,Campbell Barton
only implimented min/max precision & step. at the moment there is no way to edit these other then via python example of setting UI limits... >>> C.object['foo'] = 0.5 >>> C.object['_RNA_UI'] = {'foo': {'step': 0.5, 'soft_max': 10.0, 'soft_min': 0.0, 'precision': 2, 'description': 'Some setting'}} Also fixed typo's: precission -> precision
2009-11-18Quicktime for Cocoa : import partDamien Plisson
This makes quicktime import (.mov & quicktime handled image files such as .gif) available also for 64bit OSX Unfortunately, Apple currently incomplete implementation of QTKit has much lower performance than old Carbon Quicktime. FYI, it spawns a 32bit process "QTKitserver" to place calls to Quicktime 7. So this is mostly meant as a "backup" for 64bit OSX builds, until Apple releases full Quicktime X. Export part will come just after. CMake scripts updated: set WITH_QUICKTIME and USE_QTKIT to ON
2009-11-09Add FFTW3 support to Makefiles, make OpenJpeg use OS lib for Linux.Guillermo S. Romero
And handful of whitespace clean ups.
2009-11-02Mac / COCOA : Damien Plisson
- revert tiff load/save to use standard libtiff (to ensure 100% colorimetry & alpha interpretation across platforms) - include patch #18720 to fix load of libtiff dynlib (if present on system)
2009-11-01Mac / COCOA : Damien Plisson
- fix imbuf Cocoa resolution handling issue
2009-10-30Mac / COCOA : Damien Plisson
- fix 10.4 compile issues - fix some scons issues & add WITH_BF_COLLADA = False in scons darwin_config.py to allow build waiting for complete Collada Mac implementation
2009-10-29SVN maintenance.Guillermo S. Romero
2009-10-29Mac / COCOA : ImbufDamien Plisson
- replace libtiff by calls to Cocoa services to load/save tiff files (Libtiff, dynamically linked is not distributed with OS X, and would have had to be shipped for all four architectures) The imb_cocoaLoadImage & imb_cocoaSaveImage are generic towards the bitmap format, and thus can handle TIFF, GIF, JPG, JP2000, BMP and raw camera formats (read-only for these), even if today only TIFF is used as the other formats are already handled. - CMake updated - scons updated (Thx to Jens Verwiebe)
2009-09-28Fix #19470: displaying depth pass could crash, conversion fromBrecht Van Lommel
float to byte was not working correct.
2009-09-13== FFMPEG ==Peter Schlaile
This fixes the underlying problem of the DV crashings - within blender code. Problem was, that we tried to seek on decode errors. (Unintentionally, curposition wasn't advanced in that case). That triggered a bug within ffmpeg, that made blender crash. My workaround fix for 2.49 actually only prevented the crash, but didn't stop ffmpeg from only decoding black frames after that point... (The patch also cleans up the color conversion a little bit, by using PIX_FMT_RGBA (still need to find a way to make it work with video files that actually *have* an alpha channel. At least, latest FFMPEG-SVN swscaler has the ability to use alpha.) Looks like we can remove extern/ffmpeg now...
2009-09-13svn merge https://svn.blender.org/svnroot/bf-blender/branches/blender2.4 ↵Campbell Barton
-r23172:HEAD merging now to save confusion later since the changes between last merge and 23172 shouldn't be merged. brings 2.4 and trunk in sync aside from sequencer edits from Peter.

2009-09-06white space commit. (2 spaces -> tab).Campbell Barton
Was annoying to use a different editor for cmake only. theeth says this should be ok with gsoc and merges from branches.
2009-09-05== SCons ==Nathan Letwory
* bring back 'player' libtype, after investigation with ideasman. scons/mingw works nicely, for some reason msvc fails to link still, will look further into it.
2009-09-04== SCons ==Nathan Letwory
* further cleaning of 'player' stuff. Now only 3 libs are remaining, of which ideally the stubs lib will be fixed at some point, fading away into the dark history of not-so-nice code. The current blenderplayer part is still a little bit hackish, I'll see if I can find a better alternative, for now it works good enough.
2009-09-04== SCons ==Nathan Letwory
* first working changes to get blenderplayer linking * blenderplayer/ moved into source/ (CMakeLists.txt changed for that too) * added externs for bprogname to gp_ghost, so that it links properly
2009-08-26Unconditionally define WITH_OPENEXR.Guillermo S. Romero

2009-07-212.5: Texture FilteringBrecht Van Lommel
Patch by Alfredo de Greef with high quality image texture filters. This adds 3 new filters: * SAT: Summed Area Tables. This is like mipmaps, but using somewhat more memory avoids some artifacts. * EWA: Ellipitical Weighted Average, anisotropic filter. * FELINE: Fast elliptical lines for anisotropic texture mapping. The one change I made to this was to try to fix an alpha/premul problem, hopefully I didn't break anything, it looks compatible with the existing filter now for me.
