2022-05-31PyDoc: de-duplicate enums for rna_rna.c & bpy_props.cCampbell Barton
Lists of items for bpy.props were duplicated 3 times, now all enums are defined once in rna_rna.c and referenced from bpy.props doc-strings.
2022-05-31RNA: avoid non-standard enum item (enum section using single space)Campbell Barton
Also removes stray semicolon in RNA_enum_items.h
2022-05-03Cleanup: Move color attribute enums to be reusableHans Goudey
These enum property arrays are used by a few patches in review. Moving them here means they don't have to be duplicated.

2022-04-19Cycles: add support for volume motion blurKévin Dietrich
This adds support for rendering motion blur for volumes, using their velocity field. This works for fluid simulations and imported VDB volumes. For the latter, the name of the velocity field can be set per volume object, with automatic detection of velocity fields that are split into 3 scalar grids. A new parameter is also added to scale velocity for more artistic control. Like for Alembic and USD caches, a parameter to set the unit of time in which the velocity vectors are expressed is also added. For Blender gas simulations, the velocity unit should always be in seconds, so this is only exposed for volume objects which may come from external OpenVDB files. These parameters are available under the `Render` panels for the fluid domain and the volume object data properties respectively. 2022-03-14Revert "Animation: Sensible frame range for motion paths"Sybren A. Stüvel
This reverts commit 1558b270e9fcbc2e23fa248b0e7e770dddae155c. An earlier commit (rB101fadcf6b93c) introduced some new functionality, which was overlooked in reviewing this commit & got broken. Will re-commit after the issue has been fixed. Ref: D13687
2022-03-02Event System: remove tweak events in favor of click-dragCampbell Barton
Supporting two kinds of dragging is redundant, remove tweak events as they only supported 3 mouse buttons and added complexity from using the 'value' to store directions. Support only click-drag events (KM_CLICK_DRAG) which can be used with any keyboard or mouse button. Details: - A "direction" member has been added to keymap items and events which can be used when the event value is set to KM_CLICK_DRAG. - Keymap items are version patched. - Loading older key-maps are also updated. - Currently the key-maps stored in ./release/scripts/presets/keyconfig/ still reference tweak events & need updating. For now they are updated on load. Note that in general this wont impact add-ons as modal operators don't receive tweak events. Reviewed By: brecht Ref D14214
2022-02-28Animation: Sensible frame range for motion pathsColin Marmont
Motion paths can now be initialised to more sensible frame ranges, rather than simply 1-250: - Scene Frame Range - Selected Keyframes - All Keyframes The Motion Paths operators are now also added to the Object context menu and the Dopesheet context menu. The scene range operator was removed, because the operators now automatically find the range when baking the motion paths. The clear operator now appears separated in "Selected Only" and "All", because it was not clear for the user what the button was doing. 2022-02-18Curves: initial brush system integration for curves sculpt modeJacques Lucke
This adds the boilerplate code that is necessary to use the tool/brush/paint systems in the new sculpt curves mode. Two temporary dummy tools are part of this patch. They do nothing and only serve to test the boilerplate. When the first actual tool is added, those dummy tools will be removed. Differential Revision: https://developer.blender.org/D14117
2022-02-11File headers: SPDX License migrationCampbell Barton
Use a shorter/simpler license convention, stops the header taking so much space. Follow the SPDX license specification: https://spdx.org/licenses - C/C++/objc/objc++ - Python - Shell Scripts - CMake, GNUmakefile While most of the source tree has been included - `./extern/` was left out. - `./intern/cycles` & `./intern/atomic` are also excluded because they use different header conventions. doc/license/SPDX-license-identifiers.txt has been added to list SPDX all used identifiers. See P2788 for the script that automated these edits. Reviewed By: brecht, mont29, sergey Ref D14069
2022-01-17Baking: new method to generate margin, based on adjacent facesMartijn Versteegh
This significantly reduces discontinuities on UV seams, by giving a better match of the texture filtered colors on both sides of the seam. It works by using pixels from adjacent faces across the UV seam. This new option is called "Adjacent Faces" and is the default. The old option is called "Extend", and extends border pixels outwards. 2021-12-01Geometry Nodes: Generalized Compare NodeJohnny Matthews
Replace compare floats node with a generalized compare node. The node allows for the comparison of float, int, string, color, and vector. The datatypes support the following operators: Float, Int: <, >, <=, >=, ==, != String: ==, != Color: ==, !=, lighter, darker (using rgb_to_grayscale value as the brightness value) Vector Supports 5 comparison modes for: ==, !=, <, >, <=, >= Average: The average of the components of the vectors are compared. Dot Product: The dot product of the vectors are compared. Direction: The angle between the vectors is compared to an angle Element-wise: The individual components of the vectors are compared. Length: The lengths of the vectors are compared. Differential Revision: https://developer.blender.org/D13228
2021-11-29Geometry Nodes: Domain Size NodeJohnny Matthews
The Domain Size node has a single geometry input and a selection for the component type. Based on the component chosen, outputs containing single values for the related domains are shown. 2021-11-03Spreadsheet: Display geometry volume component gridsHans Goudey
This shows a geometry's volume grids in the spreadsheet. Three columns are displayed: - Name: The text name of each grid - Data type: Float, Vector, etc. - Class: Fog volume, Level Set, or unkown In the future, values of the voxels themselves could be displayed, but that is a much more complex problem, with important performance implications, etc. Differential Revision: https://developer.blender.org/D13049
2021-10-11Geometry Nodes: Separate and Delete Geometry for fieldsWannes Malfait
Delete Geometry: This adds a copy of the old node in the legacy folder and updates the node to work with fields. The invert option is removed, because it is something that should be very easy with fields, and to be consistent with other nodes which have a selection. There is also a dropdown to select the domain, because the domain can't be determined from the field input. When the domain does not belong on any of the components an info message is displayed. Separate Geometry: A more general version of the old Point Separate node. The "inverted" output is the same as using the delete geometry node. 2021-09-29VSE: Add color tags to stripsFalk David
This patch adds color tags to VSE strips, an overlay option to toggle the colors on and off, a section in the theme settings to define the 9 possible colors and two ways of changing the color tag through the UI. You can change the color through the right-click context menu, or in the strip side panel next to the strip name. Color tags are defined in user preferences and they can be disabled in overlay settings. Reviewed By: campbellbarton, ISS Differential Revision: https://developer.blender.org/D12405
2021-08-17RNA: de-duplicate enums in generated sourceCampbell Barton
Reuse existing enums instead of expanding them since it bloats the binary. The icons enum for example contains over 900 items and was being expanded 17 times (once for each function that takes an icon argument). Similar with the event type enum which contains over 200 items and was duplicated 7 times. makesrna.c now matches enum definitions from declarations in RNA_enum_items.h, using their identifiers when found. The overall space saving on my system is 776kb (tested with a stripped release build). Reviewed By: brecht Ref D12245
