ramps in nodes was incomplete (not prepending the ID-to-node path), which prevented keyframing color ramp elements. Path lookup for color ramps is still brute-force and slow, but this is a general design problem with nested RNA structs.

Internally vector and waveform opacities are stored as float in 0..1 range and the same range is exposed to the UI. From file compatibility POV decided to change prop's type from percentage to factor so it'll be nice slider with 0..1 range without confusing percentage symbols (which should be quite easy to follow) and both forward and backwards compatibilities are here.

lot! Reviewed by Tom Musgrove and myself. From the patch description: ValterVB on #blendercoders submitted a long list of missing tooltips in Blender, and I went through the list and added all I knew. After that I crowdsourced the rest by putting a spreadsheet on Google docs and having people fill in the missing ones that I didn't know. So if there's some weird tooltip in there that doesn't make sense, that's why. Thanks to Wolter, spacetug and others on BlenderArtists for contributing tooltips.

This should help performance in python and animation editors, by making calls to RNA property update quicker. Still need to add calls in a few places where this was previously avoided due to bad performance.

by Xavier Thomas This adds the waveform monitor and vectorscope to the image editor 'scopes' region, bringing it inline (plus a bit more) with sequence editor functionality, and a big step closer to the end goal of unifying the display code for image/ comp/sequence editor. It's non-intrusive, using the same code paths as the histogram. There's still room for more tweaks - I modified the original patch, changing the openGL immediate mode drawing of the waveform display to vertex arrays for speed optimisation. Xavier can look at doing this for the vectorscope now too. Thanks very much Xavier!

* Added a generic 'histogram' ui control, currently available in new image editor 'scopes' region (shortcut P). Shows the histogram of the currently viewed image. It's a baby step in unifying the functionality and code from the sequence editor, so eventually we can migrate the sequence preview to the image editor too, like compositor. Still a couple of rough edges to tweak, regarding when it updates. Also would be very nice to have this region as a partially transparent overlapping region...

After testing and feedback, I've decided to slightly modify the way color management works internally. While the previous method worked well for rendering, was a smaller transition and had some advantages over this new method, it was a bit more ambiguous, and was making things difficult for other areas such as compositing. This implementation now considers all color data (with only a couple of exceptions such as brush colors) to be stored in linear RGB color space, rather than sRGB as previously. This brings it in line with Nuke, which also operates this way, quite successfully. Color swatches, pickers, color ramp display are now gamma corrected to display gamma so you can see what you're doing, but the numbers themselves are considered linear. This makes understanding blending modes more clear (a 0.5 value on overlay will not change the result now) as well as making color swatches act more predictably in the compositor, however bringing over color values from applications like photoshop or gimp, that operate in a gamma space, will give identical results. This commit will convert over existing files saved by earlier 2.5 versions to work generally the same, though there may be some slight differences with things like textures. Now that we're set on changing other areas of shading, this won't be too disruptive overall. Merging changes made by Arystanbek in the soc-2009-kazanbas branch, plus some things modified and added by me. * The API files now all in the makesrna module, convention is to call them e.g. rna_mesh_api.c for rna_mesh.c. Note for visual studio build maintainers, the rna_*_api.c files are compiled as part of "makesrna", but do not have rna_*_gen.c generated as part of the library. SCons/cmake/make were updated. * Added function flags FUNC_USE_CONTEXT and FUNC_USE_REPORTS, to allow RNA functions to get context and error reporting parameters optionally. Renamed FUNC_TYPESTATIC to FUNC_NO_SELF. * RNA collections now have a pointer to add/remove FunctionRNA's, this isn't actually used anywhere yet, purpose is to make an alias main.meshes.add() for main.add_mesh() in python. * Fixes to make autogenerating property set/get for multidimensional arrays work, though a 4x4 matrix will be exposed as a length 16 one dimensional RNA array. * Functions and properties added: * Main.add_mesh() * Main.remove_mesh() * Object.matrix * Object.create_render_mesh() * WindowManager.add_fileselect()
