2021-05-21Cleanup: quiet -Warray-parameter warnings from GCC11Campbell Barton
Some warnings remain that require larger changes.
2021-04-13Motion Tracking: setting Keyframe A & B was not updating UI indicatorsPhilipp Oeser
Entering the numbers in the keyframe field was not triggering a viewport update, so the little green lines down in the cache area were only change when the user e.g. changed the frame. Now send appropriate notifiers. Issue spotted in T86456 by sebastian_k. Maniphest Tasks: T86456 Differential Revision: https://developer.blender.org/D10963

These properties are unused and serve no purpose. Reviewed By: sergey, #motion_tracking Differential Revision: https://developer.blender.org/D9803
2020-11-30Tracking: Cleanup pattern match DNA definitionSergey Sharybin
Wrong comment was used for enumerator. Also made it a real typed enumerator to ease use in the implementation code. Should be no functional changes.
2020-11-06Cleanup: follow our code style for float literalsCampbell Barton
2020-10-28Tracking: Simplify configuration of intrinsics to refineSergey Sharybin
Previously, only predefined and limited set of intrinsics combinations could have been refined. This was caused by a bundle adjustment library used in the early days of the solver. Now it is possible to fully customize which intrinsics are to be refined during camera solving. Internally solver supports per-parameter settings but in the interface they are grouped as following: * Focal length * Optical center * Radial distortion coefficients (which includes k1, k2, k3, k4) * Tangential distortion coefficients (which includes p1, p2) Differential Revision: https://developer.blender.org/D9294
2020-10-28Tracking: Decouple refine settingsSergey Sharybin
Historically the refine options had a hardcoded list of possibilities. This was caused by an old bundle adjustment code which did not support all possible combinations. Now the bundle adjuster is based on Ceres solver, allowing to refine anything in any combination.

2020-09-30Tracking: Implement Brown-Conrady distortion modelIvan Perevala
Implemented Brown-Conrady lens distortion model with 4 radial and 2 tangential coefficients to improve compatibility with other software, such as Agisoft Photoscan/Metashapes, 3DF Zephir, RealityCapture, Bentley ContextCapture, Alisevision Meshroom(opensource). Also older programs: Bundler, CPMVS. In general terms, most photogrammetric software. The new model is available under the distortion model menu in Lens settings. For tests and demos check the original patch. Reviewed By: sergey Differential Revision: https://developer.blender.org/D9037

This was done for the regular dopesheet in rB9ccc73ade8a2, this just makes that label consistent across all anim views. Differential Revision: https://developer.blender.org/D8255

2020-07-02UI: Dont abbriviate location & rotationAaron Carlisle
This resolves one of the last few areas where we still use inappropriate abbreviations. Reading abbreviated words is usually slower, because users must parse, guess and translate the words. Using abbreviations such as 'rot' is also especially bad since it's a word in itself too. The main advantage of abbreviations is that they are faster to *write*, which just isn't a concern for text in the UI. Differential Revision: https://developer.blender.org/D8174
2020-04-29Tracking: Implement Nuke/Natron distortion modelSergey Sharybin
Neither Nuke nor Natron support OpenCV's radial distortion model which makes it impossible to have any kind of interoperability. The new model is available under the distortion model menu in Lens settings. Differential Revision: https://developer.blender.org/D7484
2020-04-03Cleanup: Animation, move AnimData API to `anim_data.c`/`BKE_anim_data.h`Sybren A. Stüvel
The `BKE_animsys.h` and `anim_sys.c` files already had a an "AnimData API" section. The code in that section has now been split off, and placed into `BKE_anim_data.h` and `anim_data.c`. All files that used to include `BKE_animsys.h` have been adjusted to only include the animation headers they need (sometimes none). No functional changes.

2019-08-23RNA: Cleanup PointerRNA structJacques Lucke
The old layout of `PointerRNA` was confusing for historic reasons: ``` typedef struct PointerRNA { struct { void *data; } id; struct StructRNA *type; void *data; } PointerRNA; ``` This patch updates it to: ``` typedef struct PointerRNA { struct ID *owner_id; struct StructRNA *type; void *data; } PointerRNA; ``` Throughout the code base `id.data` was replaced with `owner_id`. Furthermore, many explicit pointer type casts were added which were implicit before. Some type casts to `ID *` were removed. 2019-05-17Python: Raise an error even NO_MAIN data is assigned to objectSergey Sharybin
The goal is to prevent assignment of temporary or evaluated meshes to objects from the main database. Majority of the change is actually related on passing reports around. On a positive side there are more error prints which can become more visible to scripters. There are still possible further improvements in the related areas. For example, disable user counting for evaluated ID datablocks when assignment happens. But can also happen later on as a separate improvement. 2019-02-01Cleanup: remove redundant, invalid info from headersCampbell Barton
BF-admins agree to remove header information that isn't useful, to reduce noise. - BEGIN/END license blocks Developers should add non license comments as separate comment blocks. No need for separator text. - Contributors This is often invalid, outdated or misleading especially when splitting files. It's more useful to git-blame to find out who has developed the code. See P901 for script to perform these edits.

Lara, Matias Mendiola and Joshua Leung for their support, ideas and to keep working in the project all the time, without them this project had been impossible. Also, I want thanks other Blender developers for their help, advices and to be there always to help me, and specially to Clément Foucault, Dalai Felinto, Pablo Vázquez and Campbell Barton.

2016-12-12Refactor RNA property: split flags in property flags, parameter flags, and ↵Bastien Montagne
internal flags. This gives us 9 flags available again for properties (we had none anymore), and also makes things slightly cleaner. To simplify (and make more clear the differences between mere properties and function parameters), also added RNA_def_parameter_flags function (and its clear counterpart), to be used instead of RNA_def_property_flag for function parameters. This patch is also a big cleanup (some RNA function definitions were still using 'prop' PropertyRNA pointer, etc.). And yes, am aware this will be annoying for all branches, but we really need to get new flags available for properties (will need at least one for override, etc.). 2016-08-232D stabilization: change presentation of target_scale in UIIchthyostega
Alongside with this change, we fix disabling of Autoscale, because this feature works even when rotation/scale is disabled.
2016-08-232D stabilization: flip orientation of the scale parameterIchthyostega
values > 1 will zoom in and values < 1 zoom out Rationale: the changed orientation is more natural from a user POV and doing it this way is also more consistent with the calculation of the other target_* parameters. Compatibility: This will break *.blend files saved with the previous version of this patch from the last days (test period). It will *not* break any old/migrated files: Previously, the DNA field "scale" was only used to cache autoscale. Only with the Stabilisator rework, "scale" becomes a first class persistent DNA field. There is migration code to init this field to 1.0
