* Fix a dependency issue in Makefiles. * Fix use of uninitialized variable in makesrna.

- Added an autogenerated C++ API, basically a simple layer over the C API, but with the advantage that it fits the object oriented RNA model better. Read-only still like the C API. - Had to rename "protected" property in Action Group because it is a C++ keyword, called it "locked" since that seems more consistent anyway? - It's not used anywhere, so here's some example code I used to test it, to get an idea of how it would be used: http://pasteall.org/4582/cpp - Also, ID names are now editable.
2009-03-132.5: UI Layout Engine, initial code.Brecht Van Lommel
* As a test, used by: * Object buttons, tried to make it match the mockup. * Text window header. * Text window properties panel. * Panel interaction with view2d is still problematic, need to make this work properly still. * Templates are very basic, the ones there are simple but already can follow the object buttons mockup quite closely. * It's based on a three level system: panels, templates and items. To get an idea of what that means in practice, see: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/BlenderDev/Blender2.5/UI_LayoutEngine#Panels.2C_Templates_and_Items

* boolean/int/float_set_array now works for non-array properties as well, just setting the value with the first element of the array.
2009-03-11WIP PyAPI from winter camp discussions, make subtypes of the base RNA python ↵Campbell Barton
type, eventually allowing us to have python defined RNA classes in python - lux/pov/renderman materials, lamps etc as well as operators. At the moment there are 2 ways to do this, The first is like subclassing from python, another (disabled) method copies the base PyTypeObject struct and makes some changes. The PyType is stored in the RNA Struct for reuse, right now there are no access functions - needs to be improved. Added a python script for printing all blend file data to the console which helps testing the api. dir(rna) wont work for python 2.x now, use rna.__dir__() instead.
2009-03-11Changed vertexpaint and weightpaint to use the standard Brush struct, so ↵Nicholas Bishop
they too work with the brush panel. Note: these modes are only using color/alpha/size from Brush, so there's more integration work todo yet.

2009-03-09* fun 2.5 UI commit from seoul airport!Matt Ebb
A few UI goodies from on the plane: - fixed the sliders for non-rounded themes - Made properties with rna subtype of 'percentage' automatically display a '%' character *after* the numerical value, where it belongs. It would also be really great to add a ° - degree symbol after angle and perhaps rotation subtypes. This works fine with international fonts but not with oldskool bitmap fonts (not part of ascii). I wonder if there's a way to get around this? - Added nice embossing effects on buttons, labels and pulldowns (there you go, brecht :) - and cooler looking tooltips And did some work on the file browser. Andrea, I hope this is ok, let me know if there are problems and I can work on fixing it up :) - added some new icons for file types, that are now shown in list view. icon designers, please feel free to update and make nicer ones! - tweaked the default colour theme and did some graphical fiddling to make the various views look nicer - rearranged the buttons on the header and swapped the 'P' button for an up arrow button, this needs a nicer icon too. - added outliner style alternating bands to the list view to see info grouping better. This has a small prob in columns view though, can fix that.

* boolean/int/float_get_array now works for non-array properties as well, just filling in a single value.
2009-03-07New include file to share enum types between RNA and operatorsMartin Poirier
Start with proportional falloff modes.

* Enum default value is now automatically the first item if it is not specified or 0. * Otherwise if it's not in the items an error will be printed.

2009-03-012.5: Text Editor back.Brecht Van Lommel
There was very little structure in this code, using many globals and duplicated code. Now it should be better structured. Most things should work, the main parts that are not back yet are the python plugins and markers. Notes: * Blenfont is used for drawing the text, nicely anti-aliased. * A monospace truetype font was added, since that is needed for the text editor. It's Bitstream Vera Sans Mono. This is the default gnome terminal font, but it doesn't fit entirely well with the other font I think, can be changed easily of course. * Clipboard copy/cut/paste now always uses the system clipboard, the code for the own cut buffer was removed. * The interface buttons should support copy/cut/paste again now as well. * WM_clipboard_text_get/WM_clipboard_text_set were added to the windowmanager code. * Find panel is now a kind of second header, instead of a panel. This needs especially a way to start editing the text field immediately on open still. * Operators are independent of the actual space when possible, was a bit of puzzling but got it solved nice with notifiers, and some lazy init for syntax highlight in the drawing code. * RNA was created for the text editor space and used for buttons. * Operators: * New, Open, Reload, Save, Save As, Make Internal * Run Script, Refresh Pyconstraints * Copy, Cut, Paste * Convert Whitespace, Uncomment, Comment, Indent, Unindent * Line Break, Insert * Next Marker, Previous Marker, Clear All Markers, Mark All * Select Line, Select All * Jump, Move, Move Select, Delete, Toggle Overwrite * Scroll, Scroll Bar, Set Cursor, Line Number * Find and Replace, Find, Replace, Find Set Selected, Replace Set Selected * To 3D Object * Resolve Conflict

2009-02-202.5:Brecht Van Lommel
* Image painting back. 2d paint, 3d paint and projection, undo, pressure, repeating paint operations, etc should all work. Drawing cursor needs a bit of work, only gets shown when enabling texture paint mode now. * Move sculpt, image paint, and vertex/weight paint into a single sculpt_paint module. Doesn't make much difference now, but nice to have it together for better integration and consistency in the future.
2009-02-19RNA: fix for bug in particle code, hopefully this solves the crash?Brecht Van Lommel
2009-02-18RNA:Brecht Van Lommel
* Added Particle wrapping patch by Roelf de Kock. It's not complete yet and I haven't reviewed it, but committing anyway, will get to it later. * Added "Percentage" subtype for floats. Doesn't really do much besides making auto rna buttons into sliders rather than numeric inputs, but can later display in % rather than 0.0-1.0.
2009-02-162.5Joshua Leung
Added RNA wrapping for F-Curve colour settings
2009-02-132.5: update cmake for rna_animation.c.Brecht Van Lommel
2009-02-13Keying Sets: Wrapped KeyingSets in RNA Joshua Leung
* The settings of KeyingSets can now be viewed/modified through RNA. * Shuffled RNA wrapping for AnimData over to its own file * Moved insert-key flags to DNA_anim_types.h, as they're now used for KeyingSets.
2009-02-112.5: Image window operators, quite a few of these still haveBrecht Van Lommel
missing parts and are work in progress. Set 3D Cursor Set Tile Sample Color New Open Replace Reload Save (As) Save Sequence Pack Unpack Record Composite The file select operators have context issues still. They need to get the image space in the context on exec() but it's not there currently, not sure how to solve that yet. Also added name parameter to uiMenuItemEnumO, and fixed "mute" argument in ED_update_for_newframe calls in fluidsim bake.
2009-02-10* Some more icon file updates (thanks jendrzych), and associated UI tweaks.Matt Ebb
2009-02-102.5:Joshua Leung
Added missing colour/theme entries from Graph Editor in RNA
2009-02-082.5: RNA auto pointer type detection didn't find right types. IfBrecht Van Lommel
two RNA structs have the same DNA structs it should use the first defined one, could be smarter but for now this makes it work again.
2009-02-05* Added range function for Multires's level RNANicholas Bishop
* Removed RNA for old multires in Mesh, the old mesh->mr struct should never be used (except for loading old files) * Dealt with sculpt + render (just needed to force multires update) * sculpt memory leaks fixed * Entering editmode now always exits paint modes (previously, only happened if editmode was called from the header button)
2009-02-04Fixed CMake for RNA, also removed the aggregate return warning for CMakeNicholas Bishop
2009-02-03RNA: some fixes for yesterdays commit, use of uninitializedBrecht Van Lommel
variables and errors in foreach macro.
2009-02-02RNA: C APIBrecht Van Lommel
* RNA_blender.h is now generated along with the other files. It is not used anywhere yet, and still located quite hidden next to the other rna_*_gen.c files. Read only access for now. * Inherited properties are not copied from the base anymore but iterated over. Patch by Vekoon, thanks! * Array get/set callbacks now do the whole array instead of getting an index. This is needed for some layers for example so python can set the array as a whole, otherwise the check that one layer has to be enabled at all times gets in the way. Also nicer for the C API. * Also some changes to returning pointers to make the API cleaner, got rid of the type() callback and instead let get() return PointerRNA with the type included. The C API looks like this currently: http://users.pandora.be/blendix/RNA_blender.h
2009-02-02Animato RNA wrapping:Joshua Leung
It's about time that the RNA wrapping for various parts of the animation system were cleaned up for my recent changes. I've moved some code around (and/or deleted a file or two) in the process.
2009-02-01sculpt operator was setting default array value from stack variables that ↵Campbell Barton
were then freed, making sculpt defaults use invalid memory. Since these values defaulted to zero, a NULL default array will do, but for new operators that need to be initialized from an array, only static arrays should be used.
2009-01-292.5:Brecht Van Lommel
* UV Editor Transform, translate, rotate, scale, live unwrap, snap, gesture, etc work. * Also for selection operators, used OPERATOR_FINISHED|OPERATOR_PASS_THROUGH instead of just OPERATOR_PASS_THROUGH to make gestures work, seems more correct to me.
2009-01-28use wine for cross compilingCampbell Barton
2009-01-27Graph Editor - Selection Tools Joshua Leung
* Mouse-Select and DeSelect All work again * Added access to constraint 'influence' value
2009-01-27* Struct-ified user preferences RNAMatt Ebb
2009-01-27Added some code in sculpt and RNA for textures with type none. Hopefully ↵Nicholas Bishop
fixes the problem with sculpt not working in 2.5.
2009-01-26Animato/2.5 - Graph Editor (i.e. the new 'IPO Editor') Joshua Leung
This commit brings back the drawing code for the 'Graph Editor'. I've decided to call it this, as currently it can show either F-Curves for Animation stored in Actions, or F-Curves for Drivers. Currently, it shows all curves, since some of the necessary filtering code (i.e. for limiting curve visibility) hasn't been put in place yet. At least this serves as good proof that we can have F-Curves from multiple sources at least. It should be noted that the code still has to be modified to work with some of the new Animato features, such as F-Curve Modifiers (cycles are an example of one of the features that use this). Also, a nicer way to set the colours of the curves needs to be investigated. Notes: * Fixed a few bugs in RNA User-Preferences wrapping * The keyframe drawing uses the new-style drawing for handles from AnimSys2. There's a minor bug that sometimes occurs, where a distorted handle gets drawn at the origin of the grid on the first run. Hints anyone? * Removed most of the old data from SpaceIpo struct, as the new code uses that. Maybe later, the directories/files at least should get renamed. * Removed ancient hack for NVidia/TNT drivers. It is probably no longer needed, but could be restored if someone needs it.
2009-01-25More radial control work.Nicholas Bishop
* Added a rotation setting to brush (and brush RNA) * Brought back strength and rotation modes for radial control * Brought back brush texture for radial control * Turned off display of sculpt brush during radial control operator
2009-01-24Animato - Shapekeys work againJoshua Leung
The RNA-wrapping for the 'value' (internally kb->curval) was set to be not editable, thus preventing Animato from writing to it. Removing the flag makes shapekeys more functional again (there are still a few non-functional cases).
2009-01-232.5: multiple small fixesBrecht Van Lommel
- wm draw method is now initialized correct when reading older files, but the SDNA bug causing the problem is still unsolved. is due to // char pad[8]; not being recognized as commented. - triple buffer proxy texture test follows spec better now, was disabling triple buffer unnecessarily on some drivers. - some cmake compile fixes related to sequencer pthread usage and removed bad level calls lib for player. - show outliner header buttons in oops mode as well until that can be switched in the UI. - fix region data free issue for tooltips - warning fixes
2009-01-232.5: WM CompositingBrecht Van Lommel
* Triple Buffer is now more complete: - Proper handling of window resize, duplicate, etc. - It now uses 3x3 textures (or less) if the power of two sizes do not match well. That still has a worst case wast of 23.4%, but better than 300%. - It can also use the ARB/NV/EXT_texture_rectangle extension now, which may be supported on hardware that does not support ARB_texture_non_power_of_two. - Gesture, menu and brushe redraws now require no redraws at all from the area regions. So even on a high poly scene just moving the paint cursor or opening a menu should be fast. * Testing can be done by setting the "Window Draw Method" in the User Preferences in the outliner. "Overlap" is still default, since "Triple Buffer" has not been tested on computers other than mine, would like to avoid crashing Blender on startup in case there is a common bug, but it's ready for testing now. - For reference "Full" draws the full window each time. - "Triple Buffer" should work for both swap copy and swap exchange systems, the latter still need the -E command line option for "Overlap". - Resizing and going fullscreen still gives flicker here but no more than "Full" drawing. * Partial Redraw was added. ED_region_tag_redraw_partial takes a rect in window coordinates to define a subarea of the region. On region draw it will then set glScissor to a smaller area, and ar->drawrct will always be set to either the partial or full window rect. The latter can then be used for clipping in the 3D view or clipping interface drawing. Neither is implemented yet.
2009-01-23Animato:Joshua Leung
* Removed a few excessive debug prints * Fixed crash on loading "Frankie" from BBB due to missing check for Driver without a target
2009-01-23Animato Bugfixes:Joshua Leung
* Fixed bug in with RNA-paths. String identifiers (i.e. some_collection["somekey"]) were not getting handled at all due to wrong indices it seems. I don't know of any other code using this, so hopefully there aren't any unintended bugs caused by this. This means that bone animation now works again. * Added a few more sanity checks to file-reading code, and heaps of extra prints everywhere else for debugging purposes (these will be removed in due course).
2009-01-22New Operators, duplicate is shift+d, Add operators are accessible from the ↵Campbell Barton
header. SEQUENCER_OT_add_duplicate(mode=1) SEQUENCER_OT_add_image_strip(name='', start_frame=0, channel=1, filename='', replace_sel=True) SEQUENCER_OT_add_movie_strip(name='', start_frame=0, channel=1, filename='', replace_sel=True) SEQUENCER_OT_add_sound_strip(name='', start_frame=0, channel=1, filename='', replace_sel=True) Some of these use the file selector, Note that sound isn't working yet because editsound.c functions are not yet in 2.5 and Operators dont have a way to recieve an array of strings so SEQUENCER_OT_add_image_strip only adds 1 image at the moment.
2009-01-22Animato - Basic version patching supportJoshua Leung
This is work-in-progress patching support for converting animation saved in old system to work in the new one. * Only IPOs/Actions directly attached to Objects + Shapekeys are converted for now. More types will follow... * This is currently done as a step outside of do_versions() due to problems with various pointers not having been resolved yet, but which are necessary for correct resolution of issues such as drivers... However, the current code does illustrate how the data should be converted to give best results/compat between the two systems. * Still need to get the converted data working with depsgraph correctly. Currently, some of my testfiles work, but the BBB files still don't.
