- Use 'BKE_object_defgroup' prefix for object functions.
- Rename 'defvert_verify_index' to 'defvert_ensure_index'
since this adds the group if it isn't found.

Note that `BKE_library.h`/`library.c` were renamed to
`BKE_lib_id.h`/`lib_id.c` to avoid having a too generic name here.

This happens to be a non-behavioral change, but previous code here was
*very* confusing, and only ended up generating expected results by mere
chance (since `facepa[i]` == `totpart` in case the face has no (valid)
particle, i.e. `pa == NULL`)...
|
|
Systematically reset particle pointer to NULL and use it to detect
invalid particle case, instead of checking value of the face's
particle index everywhere in a confusing and prone-to-bug way
(see T70150 and previous commit).
No behavioral change expected here.

There’s be a lot to say about that explode modifier code, for now just
follow other places in code... But the handling of 'invalid'/'unkown'
particle case is... quiet confusing to say the least.

This reverts commit 36faf739a71624b6ca10cec7233779f9eeace0bd.
Somewhat annoying but this change had some unforeseen consequences,
which lead to an actual bug.
Since this change was not sufficient to get original report fixed
is easier to simply revert for now.

Allows it to be preserved during copy-on-write update when on-geometry
related update is needed.
This is a required part for T63537, where we need to preserve the entire
evaluation data when object is tagged for only RECALC_COPY_ON_WRITE.

The general idea of this change is to have a runtime data pointer
in the ModifierData, so it can be preserved through copy-on-write
updates by the dependency graph.
This is where subdivision surface modifier can store its topology
cache, so it is not getting trashed on every copy-on-write which
is happening when moving a vertex.
Similar mechanism should be used by multiresolution, dynamic paint
and some other modifiers which cache evaluated data.
This fixes T61746.
Thing to keep in mind, that there are more reports about slow
subdivision surface in the tracker, but that boils down to the
fact that those have a lot of extraordinary vertices, and hence
a lot slower to evaluated topology.
Other thing is, this speeds up oeprations which doesn't change
topology (i.e. moving vertices).

We already have different storages for cddata of verts, edges etc.,
'simply' do the same for the mask flags we use all around Blender code
to request some data, or limit some operation to some layers, etc.
Reason we need this is that some cddata types (like Normals) are
actually shared between verts/polys/loops, and we don’t want to generate
clnors everytime we request vnors!
As a side note, this also does final fix to T59338, which was the
trigger for this patch (need to request computed loop normals for
another mesh than evaluated one).

The main goal of this patch is to cleanup the interface of every modifier. More specifically the interface of modifiers should be DerivedMesh-free.
Internally some modifiers still use DerivedMesh. However I think it is better when the wrappers are in the modifiers so that higher level functions can use the simplified interface.
This patch removes the applyModifier_DM and applyModifierEM_DM functions. In a previous patch (rB3614d9d) the other functions that used DerivedMesh have been removed.

There are a few places where DerivedMesh is still used, most notably
when calling the (not yet ported) cloth simulation. There is also still
the use of Object.derivedDeform and Object.derivedFinal. Those places are
marked with a TODO.
Some functions in the editors module were copied to accept Mesh. Those
already had 'mesh' in the name; the copies are suffixed with '__real_mesh'
for easy renaming later when the DM-based functionality is removed.

The contents of the ModifierEvalContext struct are constant while iterating
over the modifier stack. The struct thus should be only created once, outside
any loop over the modifiers.

Makes the follow changes:
- Add new `deform*` and `apply*` function pointers to `ModifierTypeInfo` that take `Mesh`, and rename the old functions to indicate that they take `DerivedMesh`. These new functions are currently set to `NULL` for all modifiers.
- Add wrapper `modifier_deform*` and `modifier_apply*` functions in two variants: one that works with `Mesh` and the other which works with `DerivedMesh` that is named with `*_DM_depercated`. These functions check which type of data the modifier supports and converts if necessary
- Update the rest of Blender to be aware and make use of these new functions
The goal of these changes is to make it possible to port to using `Mesh` incrementally without ever needing to enter into a state where modifiers don't work. After everything has been ported over the old functions and wrappers could be removed.

Brecht authored this commit, but he gave me the honours to actually
do it. Here it goes; Blender Internal. Bye bye, you did great!
* Point density, voxel data, ocean, environment map textures were removed,
as these only worked within BI rendering. Note that the ocean modifier
and the Cycles point density shader node continue to work.
* Dynamic paint using material shading was removed, as this only worked
with BI. If we ever wanted to support this again probably it should go
through the baking API.
* GPU shader export through the Python API was removed. This only worked
for the old BI GLSL shaders, which no longer exists. Doing something
similar for Eevee would be significantly more complicated because it
uses a lot of multiplass rendering and logic outside the shader, it's
probably impractical.
* Collada material import / export code is mostly gone, as it only worked
for BI materials. We need to add Cycles / Eevee material support at some
point.
* The mesh noise operator was removed since it only worked with BI
material texture slots. A displacement modifier can be used instead.
* The delete texture paint slot operator was removed since it only worked
for BI material texture slots. Could be added back with node support.
* Not all legacy viewport features are supported in the new viewport, but
their code was removed. If we need to bring anything back we can look at
older git revisions.
* There is some legacy viewport code that I could not remove yet, and some
that I probably missed.
* Shader node execution code was left mostly intact, even though it is not
used anywhere now. We may eventually use this to replace the texture
nodes with Cycles / Eevee shader nodes.
* The Cycles Bake panel now includes settings for baking multires normal
and displacement maps. The underlying code needs to be merged properly,
and we plan to add back support for multires AO baking and add support
to Cycles baking for features like vertex color, displacement, and other
missing baking features.
* This commit removes DNA and the Python API for BI material, lamp, world
and scene settings. This breaks a lot of addons.
* There is more DNA that can be removed or renamed, where Cycles or Eevee
are reusing some old BI properties but the names are not really correct
anymore.
* Texture slots for materials, lamps and world were removed. They remain
for brushes, particles and freestyle linestyles.
* 'BLENDER_RENDER' remains in the COMPAT_ENGINES of UI panels. Cycles and
other renderers use this to find all panels to show, minus a few panels
that they have their own replacement for.

The depsgraph was always created within a fixed evaluation context. Passing
both risks the depsgraph and evaluation context not matching, and it
complicates the Python API where we'd have to expose both which is not so
easy to understand.
This also removes the global evaluation context in main, which assumed there
to be a single active scene and view layer.

2.8x branch added bContext arg in many places,
pass eval-context instead since its not simple to reason about what
what nested functions do when they can access and change almost anything.
Also use const to prevent unexpected modifications.
This fixes crash loading files with shadows,
since off-screen buffers use a NULL context for rendering.
