While both are supported, 'arg' is in more common use so prefer it.

Support RNA types using the Py/C-API PyGetSetDef defined properties.
Currently `WindowManager.clipboard` is the only instance of this.

Add missing check as the context override dict may have been copied
since it was assigned, also initialize the context manager with
PyType_Ready, while it didn't cause any errors - it's expected
that all types are initialized.

Support a way to temporarily override the context from Python.
- Added method `Context.temp_override` context manager.
- Special support for windowing variables "window", "area" and "region",
other context members such as "active_object".
- Nesting context overrides is supported.
- Previous windowing members are restored when the context exists unless
they have been removed.
- Overriding context members by passing a dictionary into operators in
`bpy.ops` has been deprecated and warns when used.
This allows the window in a newly loaded file to be used, see: T92464

Add the ability to get/set the selected text.
**Calling the new methods:**
- `bpy.data.texts["Text"].region_as_string()`
- `bpy.data.texts["Text"].region_from_string("Replacement")`

So far it was needed to declare a new RNA struct to `RNA_access.h` manually.
Since 9b298cf3dbec we generate a `RNA_prototypes.h` for RNA property
declarations. Now this also includes the RNA struct declarations, so they don't
have to be added manually anymore.

Use a shorter/simpler license convention, stops the header taking so
much space.
Follow the SPDX license specification: https://spdx.org/licenses
- C/C++/objc/objc++
- Python
- Shell Scripts
- CMake, GNUmakefile
While most of the source tree has been included
- `./extern/` was left out.
- `./intern/cycles` & `./intern/atomic` are also excluded because they
use different header conventions.
doc/license/SPDX-license-identifiers.txt has been added to list SPDX all
used identifiers.
See P2788 for the script that automated these edits.

Python scripts can now define the reason it's poll function fails using:
`Operator.poll_message_set(message, ...)`
This supports both regular text as well as delaying message creation
using a callback which should be used in situations where constructing
detailed messages is too much overhead for a poll function.

This adds support for creating a `BlendFile` (internally called `Main`),
which is limited to a context.
Temporary data can now be created which can then use
`.libraries.load()` the same as with `bpy.data`.
To prevent errors caused by mixing the temporary ID's with data in
`bpy.data` they are tagged as temporary so they can't be assigned
to properties, however they can be passed as arguments to functions.

Useful for checking operators used in menus.

Remove use of '_bpy' as an intermediate module to store functions
which were then assigned in bpy_types.py.

Previously the static/class flag was ignored,
always using class methods.

The clipboard can change between checking it's length and
copying into the allocated buffer.
Move this from RNA to the C/Python API.

Support extending properties as well as methods.
|
|
This isn't so closely related to the RNA API,
it's a way to use the C/Python API to extend RNA types
and can be in it's own file.
