2009-11-19Fix crash on Windows when clicking anywhere in a window. Cursor grabbing ↵Joshua Leung
code was missing checks for invalid tablet data.
2009-11-18Disable continuous grab during tablet use (fixing tablet jerkiness issues)Damien Plisson
2009-10-25Fix for crash when doing File -> Open, File -> New (without closing the ↵Joshua Leung
FileBrowser first)
2009-10-18minor changes to x11 cursor grab wrappingCampbell Barton
- when wrapping 2 mouse events were added. - on release blender still had the last event (possibly outside the screen), where menus would fail to show. Add a mouse event by calling XWarpPointer with no movement when leaving grab.
2009-10-17wrap the mouse within the region while grabbing so on release the current ↵Campbell Barton
view never changes and less likelyhood of loosing the cursor when running blender on 2+ screens. (assuming the 3d view isnt stretched over both)
2009-10-17Adjustments to continuous grabCampbell Barton
- Use an enum for grab modes rather then boolean options. -- GHOST_kGrabNormal: continuous grab userpref disabled -- GHOST_kGrabWrap: wrap the mouse at the screen bounds * -- GHOST_kGrabHide: hide the mouse while grabbing and restore the mouse where it was initially pressed * GrabWrap is nice for transform and tools where you want some idea where the cursor is, previously I found both restoring the mouse at its original location and restoring at a clamped location was confusing with operators like transform, wrapping is not ideal but IMHO the best of a bad bunch of options. GrabHide is for numbuts, where restoring the mouse at the initial location isnt so confusing.
2009-10-16Force cursor grab OFF when running with -d.Martin Poirier
It helps running a debugger when you can click on stuff when on a breakpoint...
2009-10-08- made ungrab a second function - WM_cursor_ungrabCampbell Barton
- ungrab can restore the position of the mouse clamped to the window bounds (much nicer for transform)
2009-10-07Experimental option to allow moving the mouse outside the view, "Continuous ↵Campbell Barton
Grab" in the user-prefs. - Useful for dragging buttons to the far right when theyd otherwise hit the screen edge. - Useful for transform though probably NOT what you want when using the transform manipulator (should make an option). - When enabled, number buttons use this as well as a different conversion of mouse movement float numbuts: mouse 1px == 1-clickstep int numbuts: 2px == 1 (tried 1:1 but its too jitter prone) details... - access as an option to GHOST_SetCursorGrab(grab, warp) - Currently all operators that grab use this, could be made an operator flag - only Ghost/X11 supported currently
2009-07-282.5: various one-liner fixesBrecht Van Lommel
* Image window only show game properties in game mode. * Fix image window render info drawing wrong with alpha enabled. * Win32 editmode cursor now uses a different one than the system cursor, that one is barely visible, especially in the new theme colors. * Center text in operator header print. * Fix sequencer unlock shortcut key. * Fix uv layer / vertex color active render button now graying out. * Workaround to get default zoom level 1:1 again for new buttons (will try to fix properly later, is due to scrollbars).
2009-07-102.5: Fix for crash on reload file. Cursor grab should notBrecht Van Lommel
assume there to be a window, but also reload file exec was not returing an OPERATOR_* value.
2009-07-092.5: X11Brecht Van Lommel
* Pass on mouse location on window leave/enter too, fixing some issues with button highlights and tooltips. * When a modal operator runs, grab the mouse cursor so that for example transform still works when you move your mouse outside of the window, previously it would just stop then. This is automatic now for all modal ops, perhaps not always needed? * Fix for a trailing button highlight issue.
2009-06-17Fix mask in arrow cursor and improve swap one.Guillermo S. Romero
2009-06-092.50:Brecht Van Lommel
svn merge https://svn.blender.org/svnroot/bf-blender/trunk/blender -r19820:HEAD Notes: * Game and sequencer RNA, and sequencer header are now out of date a bit after changes in trunk. * I didn't know how to port these bugfixes, most likely they are not needed anymore. * Fix "duplicate strip" always increase the user count for ipo. * IPO pinning on sequencer strips was lost during Undo.
2009-03-112.5 / Area managementNathan Letwory
* Add Area Swap: hold alt and drag with LMB from either actionzone. Release LMB on area you want to swap with. I added a matching cute cursor for this (and to make it a politically delicate issue, it's white on black). Note, there are still some error totblocks that I haven't been able to track down properly yet, so that's still a bit WIP.

- Made WM_cursor_wait() work without context or pointers, like old waitcursor(). Only use when operations entirely block UI. It will set waitcursor for all open windows. - Cleanup in mesh tools, removing old cruft, and prepare for more goodies for shul to work on!

Context API This adds the context API as described here. The main practical change now is that C is not longer directly accessible but has to be accessed through accessor functions. This basically adds the implementation of the API and adaption of existing code with some minor changes. The next task of course is to actually use this design to cleanup of bad level calls and global access, in blenkernel, blenloader. http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/BlenderDev/Blender2.5/Context Error, Warning and Debug Info Reporting This adds the error reporting API as described here. It should help clean up error() calls in non-ui code, but eventually can become used for gathering messages for a console window, and throwing exceptions in python scripts when an error happens executing something. http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/BlenderDev/Blender2.5/Reports

Mouse cursors now work again - centralized screen-level cursor changes, no more operator running for it. - spacetypes have callback to check/set individual cursor types. Use notifier SCREEN_CHANGED to make sure it works on mode changes etc. - new calls WM_cursor_modal() and WM_cursor_restore() to make temporarily cursor types during modes. - used above for view2d cursors.
2008-01-01Some notes for those who try to follow this :)Ton Roosendaal
- first work on getting area/screen handling back - added structure for where to put stuff, is still under review, wait a bit for docs? Campbell is working on removing every bad level include from sources, so we can safely rebuild the src/ directory.
2007-12-24Step 3 for the initial commits for 2.5: removing src/ and python,Ton Roosendaal
adding new windowmanager module, and the first bits of new editors module.
