Border and circle select wait for input by default.
This commit uses bool properties on the operators instead of
magic number (called "gesture_mode").
Keymaps that define 'deselect' for border/circle select
begin immediately, exiting when on button release.

This reverts commit 134e927965c9871df8a9e13806f1cd48f4d43f16.
Writing into const event is very bad,
but this change broke compositor manipulators.
Will look into better solution eventually.

This commit lands the core backend of the Custom Manipulators project onto the blender2.8 branch. It is a generic backend for managinig interactive on-screen controls that can be integrated into any 2D or 3D edito. It's also already integrated into the window-manager and editor code where needed.
NOTE: The changes here should not be visible for users at all. It's really just a back-end patch. Neither does this include any RNA or Python integration.
Of course, there's still lots of work ahead for custom manipulators, but this is a big milestone. WIP code that actually uses this backend can be found in the 'custom-manipulators' branch (previously called 'wiggly-widgets').
The work here isn't completely my own, all the initial work was done by @Antony Riakiotakis (psy-fi) and - although it has changed a lot since them - it's still the same in essence. He definitely deserves a big credit! Some changes in this patch were also done by @Campbell Barton (campbellbarton). Thank you guys!
Merge accepted by @brecht and @merwin.

ifdef’ing out defines in DNA/RNA is not a good idea, was breaking alternative keymaps loading
from splash screen e.g. (reported by Sergey over IRC, thanks).

When WITH_INPUT_NDOF is disabled, 3D mouse handling code is removed
from:
- GHOST (was mostly done, finished the job)
- window manager
- various editors
- RNA
- keymaps
The input tab of user prefs does not show 3D mouse settings. Key map
editor does not show NDOF mappings.
DNA does not change.
On my Mac the compiled binary is 42KB smaller after this change. It
runs fine WITH_INPUT_NDOF on or off.

It's not obvious that they use the mouse coordinate of the initial key-press event (behavior since rBf1f33ba7be2d), so added comment.
Also corrected other comments.

Many keyboard layouts (italian, spanish, german...) have direct access to '+' key on main
keyboard area (not the numpad one), ans x11 has own define for this key, so use it instead
of generating an unkown key event.
Note that we most likely have much more missing 'specific' keycodes for non-US keyboard layout,
but think since we already had a 'minus' keyevent, supporting 'plus' one is totally consistent.
And we had a spare space in our defined values just for it even!
This keyevent is only supported/generated by x11 and cocoa Ghost backends for now,
neither SDL nor win32 seem to have matching key events...

This commit merges all the work done in the GPencil_Editing_Stage3 branch
as of ef2aecf2db981b5344e0d14e7f074f1742b0b2f7 into master. For more details
about the changes that this brings, see the WIP release notes:

This basically does the 'timer' part of Jobs system: it sends a given notifier on every timer step.
This is needed for background tasks (not full-fledged jobs, lighter BLI_tasks based) that want to update UI
(like for up-comming new thumbnail handling in filebrowser).
|
|
This was initially added for a later support of making the automatic File
Browser fullscreen optional. As this idea was rejected for now (D1037) it
doesn't really make sense to leave these things in.
|
|
Useful for UI handling where its common to check multiple modifiers at once.

Original patch by @random (D765) with some minor work done by @campbell
and me.
At this place, I'd like call out a number of people who were involved and
deserve a big "Thank you!":
* At the first place @randon who developed and submitted the patch
* The Blendercn community which helped a lot with testing - espacially
* @yuzukyo, @leon_cheung and @kjym3
* @campbellbarton, @mont29 and @sergey for their help and advises during
* review
* @ton who realized the importance of this early on and asked me for
* reviewing
We are still not finished, as this is only the first part of the
implementaion, but there's more to come!

codes get stored in keymaps and should not be changed
|
|
Don't change old event codes! Keymap diffing depends on those being the
same across versions to work.
|
|
Organize Maximize/Fullscreen mess and add a new fullscreen mode with no UI
* Maximize Editor: (old Ctrl+Up)
* Full Screen Window: (old Alt + F11)
* Full Screen Editor: new operator (Alt + F10)
* Change Show/Hide Header: (Alt + F9)
When the mode is on moving the mouse near the top right corner of the
editor shows an icon to go back to the normal editor mode.
This was originally intended for the multiview branch, but this
functionality also benefits non-stereo workflows, thus it can be
reviewed and committed independently.
Development notes:
* This includes cleanups in the code to sanitize the naming of
fullscreen/maximize across the window/editor code.
* Originally the idea was to make the window fullscreen as well, but
this idea was dropped.
* You can see the clicking area when debug is 1
* Technically the user can be left with an unfaded icon in the corner
(specially when using a tablet). If we think this is too bad we can
increase the action zone to be the whole screen, or something similar.

as keyboard ones!!!
Note: better solution would be to move those 'internal' events to the 0x5xxx area,
but need to talk with the team to be sure this won't break something first.
|
|
Also made all event type values as hexadecimal (mixing decimal, hexa and char values
is a nice way to make mistakes)!

Yep, at last it's here!
There are a few minor issues remaining but development can go on in
master after discussion at blender institute.

Thanks to Sergey and Campbell for the extensive review and to the
countless artists that have given their input and reported issues during
development.

For 2.66a
Allow trackpad and magic mouse swipes to control brush size for circle select.
(Similar to mousewheel).

Timer events used by the airbrush would always give a pressure of 1.0, ignoring the tablets real pressure in all paint modes.
Move tablet data into its own struct-member so it can be used with timer events.
|
|
|
|
Very occasionally Timer Events could still get handled, after stopping
a timer - especially with the timer event still in the queue.
This patch disables such events. Introduced a EVENT_NONE to make sure
it gets ignored everywhere.

Nice formatted version (pictures soon):
http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:Ref/Release_Notes/2.66/Usability
Short list of main changes:
- Transparent region option (over main region), added code to blend in/out such panels.
- Min size window now 640 x 480
- Fixed DPI for ui - lots of cleanup and changes everywhere. Icon image need correct size still, layer-in-use icon needs remake.
- Macbook retina support, use command line --no-native-pixels to disable it
- Timeline Marker label was drawing wrong
- Trackpad and magic mouse: supports zoom (hold ctrl)
- Fix for splash position: removed ghost function and made window size update after creation immediate
- Fast undo buffer save now adds UI as well. Could be checked for regular file save even...
Quit.blend and temp file saving use this now.
- Dixed filename in window on reading quit.blend or temp saves, and they now add a warning in window title: "(Recovered)"
- New Userpref option "Keep Session" - this always saves quit.blend, and loads on start.
This allows keeping UI and data without actual saves, until you actually save.
When you load startup.blend and quit, it recognises the quit.blend as a startup (no file name in header)
- Added 3D view copy/paste buffers (selected objects). Shortcuts ctrl-c, ctrl-v (OSX, cmd-c, cmd-v).
Coded partial file saving for it. Could be used for other purposes. Todo: use OS clipboards.
- User preferences (themes, keymaps, user settings) now can be saved as a separate file.
Old option is called "Save Startup File" the new one "Save User Settings".
To visualise this difference, the 'save startup file' button has been removed from user preferences window. That option is available as CTRL+U and in File menu still.
- OSX: fixed bug that stopped giving mouse events outside window.
This also fixes "Continuous Grab" for OSX. (error since 2009)

For the french keyboard setting (AZERTY) on Windows, the '!' came back with winevent->type=312, winevent->ascii='!' and the ISTEXTINPUT only matched key codes up to 255. Now replaces with
ISKEYBOARD in wm_eventmatch.

keymapped, ndof modifiers (shift, alt, etc.) are almost ready but still hardcoded to act like keyboard for now. added a check to prevent crash on Linux when device is plugged in after blender starts. also fixed a bug introduced by my last commit that affected the SpaceTraveler and serial devices.
