This includes DNA data and any reference to the BGE code in Blender itself.
We are bumping the subversion.
Pending tasks:
* Tile/clamp code in image editor draw code.
* Viewport drawing code (so much of this will go away because of BI removal
that we can wait until then to remove this.

This required BL_ArmatureObject to have tighter control over armatures and poses.
Also, (Blender) armature objects are now copied instead of shared between
BL_ArmatureObjects to avoid race conditions. Also, due to the armature copy,
shape key drivers need a bit of extra fiddling to get the correct armature copy.
Initially OpenMP was used for threading, but then BLI_task was used due to being
less compiler dependent.
This commit also places time spent on skinning updates in the Animation
profiler category (was previously under the Rasterizer category).

Currently this is only for the Python API. The logic brick will be updated in a future commit.

PyUnicode_FromStringAndSize (saves a call to strlen).
Also made CValue::ConvertKeysToPython use faster list creation and improved some of the macro formatting.

which can be found in the Armature's Skeleton panel by the Deform options. Before only Blender's armature_deform_verts() was used. Now users can choose a vertex deformation function that is optimized for the BGE. At the moment it is mostly a copy of armature_deform_verts() with various chunks of code removed, and the BLI_math code was replaced with Eigen2. In my test scene, the new function offered about a 40% improvement over armature_deform_verts() (17~19ms rasterizer to 11~12ms). The only current limitation that I'm aware of if that B-Bone segments are not supported in the BGE version, and I will probably leave it out. I would like to also limit the BGE version to 4 weights to make things easier for a GPU version, but this may just make things slower (sorting weights to find the top 4).

works, but needs more testing. Also, currently the mode is forced to ADD and the weight to 1.

to the game engine. Moved those to container and BlenderRoutines modules.

while making a demo of using python to control bones found some more problems.
also added channelNames attribute to BL_ActionActuator to get a list of valid channels to use.
demo: http://www.graphicall.org/ftp/ideasman42/armature_python.blend
its still not that useful since theres not way to know rest bone locations yet but better then nothing.

with the new animation system.
Note that the animation conversion from existing 2.4x blend files doesnt yet set the Action pointer in the actuator so the only way to test is to use the python api to set the new converted action active on the actuator because there is no user interface.

svn merge https://svn.blender.org/svnroot/bf-blender/trunk/blender -r19820:HEAD
Notes:
* Game and sequencer RNA, and sequencer header are now out of date
a bit after changes in trunk.
* I didn't know how to port these bugfixes, most likely they are
not needed anymore.
* Fix "duplicate strip" always increase the user count for ipo.
* IPO pinning on sequencer strips was lost during Undo.

Some functions used
ProcessReplica(replica);
others
replica->ProcessReplica()
Use the second method everywhere so the PyObjectPlus's ProcessReplica() can be called from its subclasses.
Note that PyObjectPlus's ProcessReplica isnt used yet.

but don't have an action got the pose of already added armatures, even
though they're not related. This also fixes an issue where the armature
in Blender would end up in the pose from the game after ESC, removes
unneeded copies made during armature evaluation, and also solves the
constraint copying hack.

the features that are needed to run the game. Compile tested with
scons, make, but not cmake, that seems to have an issue not related
to these changes. The changes include:
* GLSL support in the viewport and game engine, enable in the game
menu in textured draw mode.
* Synced and merged part of the duplicated blender and gameengine/
gameplayer drawing code.
* Further refactoring of game engine drawing code, especially mesh
storage changed a lot.
* Optimizations in game engine armatures to avoid recomputations.
* A python function to get the framerate estimate in game.
* An option take object color into account in materials.
* An option to restrict shadow casters to a lamp's layers.
* Increase from 10 to 18 texture slots for materials, lamps, word.
An extra texture slot shows up once the last slot is used.
* Memory limit for undo, not enabled by default yet because it
needs the .B.blend to be changed.
* Multiple undo for image painting.
* An offset for dupligroups, so not all objects in a group have to
be at the origin.

- fixed some Bullet raycasting (hitfraction was not properly updated for static meshes)
- removed some cvs tags in Bullet's BMF _Font files (they keep on conflicting when duplicated in different repositories)
- set default linearsleepingtreshold explicitly

2.40 build, just disable the game engine if it doesn't compile for a platform. Again, sorry if this breaks non-windows platforms, but I hope people help to get this amazing fix working for all platforms. Armature-fixing contribution from Snailrose. Also lots of cool things from Snailrose and Lagan.
Armatures are back
Split screen
Double sided lightning
Ambient lighting
Alpha test
Material IPO support (one per object atm)
Blender materials
GLSL shaders - Python access
Up to three texture samplers from the material panel ( 2D & Cube map )
Python access to a second set of uv coordinates

2.25 like physics.
[SCons] Build with Solid as default when enabling the gameengine in the build process
[SCons] Build solid and qhull from the extern directory and link statically against them
That was about it.
There are a few things that needs double checking:
* Makefiles
* Projectfiles
* All the other systems than Linux and Windows on which the build (with scons) has been successfully tested.

So we should be all set now :)
