This includes DNA data and any reference to the BGE code in Blender itself.
We are bumping the subversion.
Pending tasks:
* Tile/clamp code in image editor draw code.
* Viewport drawing code (so much of this will go away because of BI removal
that we can wait until then to remove this.

- Derived-mesh drawing.
- All non UV members of TexFace structs.
MTexPoly is now redundant but keeping with a dummy member,
will check on complete removal later.

TexFace complicates the now more popular shading pipeline by having
per-face images, see: T51382 for details.
To keep the ability to select a per-material edit-image
(used with UV-mapping workflow), the material now stores an image
which will be set when changing images in edit-mode.
This is used as a bake-target when not using Cycles too.

Note: This is not about functionality, but about using the same stub file
we are using in Blender for the game engine.

This patch adds a python method to get openGL bind code of material's texture according to the texture slot.
Example:
import bge
cont = bge.logic.getCurrentController()
own = cont.owner
bindId = own.meshes[0].materials[0].getTextureBindcode(0)
Test file: http://www.pasteall.org/blend/40679
This can be used to play with texture in openGL, for example, remove mipmap on the texture or play with all wrapping or filtering options.
And this can be used to learn openGL with Blender.

This class did nothing but print out extensions if they were found.
Instead, the code from bge.logic.PrintGLInfo() is now printed as the
Rasterizer is initialized. This gives better information, and it removes
some GL code from KX_PythonInit.cpp (the PrintGLInfo method now calls
the Rasterizer to print the information).

Add support for material diffuse, specular… in KX_BlenderMaterial python proxy. And use mathutils in KX_BlenderMaterial for the specular and diffuse color in KX_BlenderMaterial.

Blenderplayer forgot to initialize the default material (defmaterail) with function init_def_material().
This reverts also the plumber commit 2fa4a48bcef05671890fafc3fe50a8fa619f0259.

If a mesh doesn't have a material we don't initialize the mSavedData in KX_BlenderMaterial to avoid crash.

Most of this patch was created by Daniel Stokes, I'm mostly just cleaning
it up and testing it. Still todo: hardness. I need to figure out how to
handle the integer -> float conversion on a dynamic uniform.

Any GLSL materials loaded after lights are LibLoaded will now use the lights in
heir shaders. This includes materials loaded from the same scene as the LibLoaded
lights. We could later add a new flag to LibLoad to recompile all existing shaders,
but this commit should offer a lot more flexibility as is.

include:
* Cleaning up the conversion code to avoid a per-face material conversion. Materials are now stored in buckets and only converted if a new material is found. This replaces some of Campbell's earlier work on the subject. His work wasn't as thorough, but it was much safer for a release.
* Shaders are only compiled for LibLoaded materials once. Before they could be compiled twice, which could really slow things down.
* Refactoring the rasterizer code to use a strategy design pattern to handle different geometry rendering methods such as immediate mode, vertex arrays and vertex buffer objects. VBOs are added, but they will be disabled in a following commit since they are still slower than vertex arrays with display lists. However, VBOs are still useful for mobile, so it's good to keep them around.
* Better multi-uv support. The BGE should now be able to handle more than two UV layers, which should help it better match the viewport.

Custom shaders is a case where the BGE can be using GLSL materials and still need to upload textures without bf_gpu. I tweaked some logic to handle this special case and added more comments.

Summary:
========
The idea here is to move the texface options into the material panel.
For images with the change please visit:
http://code.blender.org/index.php/2011/09/bge-material-texface-changes
1 - Some of the legacy problems 2.49 and 2.5x has with the texface system:
==========================================================================
1.1) Shadow, Bilboard and Halo are mutual exclusive (in the code), yet you can
select a face to be more than one mode.
1.2) Sort only works for blend Alpha yet it's an option regardless of the
Transparency Blend you pick.
1.3) Shared doesn't affect anything in BGE.
1.4) ObColor only works for Text objects (old bitmap texts) when using Texture
Face Materials. (not address yet, I so far ignored obcolor)
2 - Notes:
============
2.1) Now "Use Face Textures" in material Option panel will work in Multitexture
even if there is no texture channel.
2.2) In FaceTexture mode it will use TexFace all the time, even if you don't
check the "Use Texture Face" option in the UI. It's a matter of decision, since
the code for either way is there. I decided by the solution that makes the
creation of a material fast - in this mode the user doesn't need to mess with
textures or this "Use Texture Face" option at all. I'm not strong in my opinion
here. But I think if we don't have this then what is the point of the Texture
Face mode?
2.3) I kept references for tface only when we need the image, UV or the tiling
setting. It should help later when/if we split the Image and UV layers from the
tface struct (Campbell and Brecht proposal).
3 - Changes in a Nutshell:
==========================
3.1) "Texture Face" panel (in the Mesh/Object Data panel) no longer exists. Those settings are all part of the material properties, visible when Game Render is set.
3.2) "Texture Face" Shading mode (in the Render panel) is now called “Single Texture”, it needs a material for special settings (e.g. Billboard, Alpha Sort, …).
3.3) New options in the Material Panel
* Shadeless option in the Material panel is now supported for all three Shading modes.
* Physics is now toggleable, this is the old Collision option.
* Two Side (on) is now called Back Culling (off).
* Alpha Sort is one of the Alpha options, together (and mutually exclusive) to Alpha Blend, Alpha Clip, Add and Opaque (i.e. solid).
* Shadow, Billboard and Halo are grouped in the “Face Orientation” property.
* "Face Textures" and "Face Textures Alpha" (under Options) can be used for all but GLSL shading mode (to be supported in GLSL eventually).
* The backend in the game engine is still the same as before. The only changes are in the interface and in the way you need to think your materials. The bottomline is: It’s no longer possible to share materials between faces that do not share the same game properties.
4 - Acknowledgment:

Rough summary of fixes/changes:
- Blender Py API: GameLogic -> bge.logic
- Blender Py API: Implemented missing KX_PYATTRIBUTE_TODOs and -DUMMYs.
- Fix for [#22924] KX_PolygonMaterial.diffuse does not return expected list[r,g,b]
- Py API: Renaming _owner attribute of mathutils classes to owner.
- Fix some minor errors in mathutils and blf.
- Enabling game engine autoplay again based on a patch by Dalai:
* The biggest 3D view in the open scene is used, if there is none, blender opens the file normally and raises an error.
* The 3D view are is made fullscreen.
* Quad view, header, properties and toolbox panel are all hidden to get the maximum view.
* If the game engine full screen setting is set, the game starts in fullscreen.
- Fix for ipo conversion on file transition in the game engine.

Even a static mesh can be used as replacement: the mesh

Known limitation: the velocity of the soft body is reset
